Divi,
My internet is acting crazy and I hope, I get to post it in one go.
For me personally, the episode started when Jalaal came into Jodha's hojra. He explained his part of the story in the most stoic and dignifiedd manner possible. Also, since this is their first fight as a couple, we could see how much Jodha was "acting". I loved the part when he asked to turn to him, she turned her face farther, so he just touched her chin and turned her around, there was authority in that gesture.
She shivered a bit when he came near her, near window/AC vent. Loved it!
Loved that Hamida didn't involve herself with this issue, she let the mother, the husband and the wife talk it out.
Salima's points gave me mixed feelings, agreed she sounded reasonable, and Jalaal definitely needed the nudge to go patch-up, but, I felt she was favouring Shehnaaz a wee bit more than necessary. Maybe, it's my prejudice for Shehnaaz, but, her attitude today is way different than when Rahim fell into the pond, and Jodha jumped after him. That time she had swiftly taken the child away. But, since then, she has become friends with Jodha, and appreciates her. I loved her subtle taunt to Ruqaiyya, when she said, behes, and looked in her direction.
So, Shehnaaz is a negative character. Looks like each of Jalaal's wives, unwittingly associates with some vamp, who proves to be a danger to his life, no wonder he needed 300 wives, so that duas of the rest 299 could ward off the evil brought on by one.
Regarding your query on her behaviour when she first met him, well, till now, she has put an act of being a mad woman, maybe, it's Jalaal, who doesn't know anything of her, not at least how she looks, he might know her actual name, which of course may not be Shehnaaz.
Shehnaaz darling, you might be taking a little bit of risk, perhaps more than you realize, Jo's a sharp one when it comes to her suhaag's raksha (lol). Ask Benazir. Wonder what hateful pet name Jo will give this Shehnaaz, when she knows of her true colours. Last time it was the cult favourite "ghrinit jantu."
Now, you have listed 2 things I observed and liked, his lucky jaama and her wearing green on the anniversary. Actually an observation from yesterday's episode, when they were going to the dargah remembering their marriage, I saw how though many had changed form the day of their wedding to this day, one thing hasn't, his navy blue velvet jacket.😆
I loved the way she put her head on his chest after he said, "I hope you get all happiness," as if silently signifying, all my happiness begins and ends with you. Awww!
Awesome post! Liked the episode.👍🏼
