Agree here.
He was also a human being. Not ONLY a warrior. He could blush. He could cry. He could laugh.
The show deals mostly with the personal relationships of Akbar.
So, why the problem ?
Dont want to write the following. But i have to write it finally. I am sure, if anyone EVEN by chance reads Akbarnama LINE BY LINE, which i am sure RARELY anyone will do, for it is one of the most boring texts i have come across. Even i do not read it. Lol. But thanx to my friends who read it and inform me also.
Every line in akbarnama makes a lot of sense. Abul Fazl, has RARELY WRITTEN a sentence like this about Akbar. He writes - ''Akbar stayed BEHIND the veil of the harem in his initial years''. What meaning will anyone deduce from this.?. Petticoat government.?
Prominent researcher Satish Chandra writes in his research - Akbar DID NOT CARE MUCH about the running of administration initially, and left it to Maham Anga and others. Abul Fazl even says MA used to act as the Wakil of the sultanate and acted from BEHIND THE VEIL, which Akbar could not see.
If anyone reads in details, a lot of personal traits can be deduced from these writings.
Thats why i wrote on page 12/13 here ki the portrayal is fine if NOT accurate. Sometimes OTT hota hai. But NOT always.
I am fine with it. Based on m reading, i do not see any OTT influence of MA. She as like this, and Akbar listened to her aankh band karke. You can see from the quotes i have given above.
Its easy to say anything without reading. Infact, i appreciate Ekta for this serial. At times i can relate many things about his personality from my reading.
