i think it might be necessary to have these scenes we need to to see the build up of adham khan's downfall and we need to understand what maham anga and ruquaiya are planning to do to throw shade jodha'a way. this is important bc tomorrow jalal is going to realize that dilawar khan is jodha's "lover" and will spend the entire day deciding if he should confront her or not. jodha's admission of her love for jalal needed to be revealed if not to him but to us first so we know what she is thinking, bc when jalal and jodha meet we will have jodha trying to admit her feelings and jalal feeling nothing but hatred towards jodha , that scene will be positively explosive to say the least. so today and tomorrows scenes are utterly necessary for what is to come.
