Before getting to today's episode, I wanted to thank everyone over the past day for a very fruitful set of discussions on what is trust and the strength of the Jodha and Jalal relationship. I love this forum 😊
Today's episode further shed light on this and I found it satisfying episode on multiple dimensions, particularly as I saw Jalal succeeding as a husband, on his own.
So, without any ado, let me get to today's take 5, a true countdown as the last scene was truly the best one for me:
(5) First Jodha-Jalal interaction: I liked this interaction for the continued concern and care Jalal shows on Jodha. If I had not seen Jalal wondering what was Jodha doing later in the episode, I would have guessed he knew and was waiting for her to open up. While the CVs are covering Jodha's mistake with Sujamal's promise, Jodha has made a mistake by hiding this from Jalal. Luckily, at least they showed Jodha apologetic and apologizing in her mind as he left (Shraddha, I think they heard you)
I won't say it's her mistake that she can't tell Jalal abt Sujamal.. once she had tried to say Suja can't do this, but Jalal won't hear a single word without proofs, how much he trusts her... and right now she has no proofs that suja is innocent, except her trust on Suja... secondly, if she tells Jalal abt Suja, he won't let her go as it will be against Mughal laws, and it will make Jo traitor, so she won't be able to find truth and clear Jalal's MU abt Sujamal...
the only mistake she made, was she promised suja... one thing she could have done is that she can tpromise that she won't take Suja's name, but tell Jalal that she has got the info that somebody from palace is trying to hurt/kill Jalal... and this way Jalal would have been alert...even this half info, would have been enough for Jalal to keep his trust in Jo intact...let's see what hap tomorrow...
(4) The gems in Agra paagalkhana: I know CVs cannot all the screen space to Jodha and Jalal but why not spending more time on Atgah Khan and Jiji Anga. It shows a normal husband-wife relationship which is rare on this show 😆 But amidst all the scheming of MA and screeching of Ruqs, it is great to see such people who so selflessly love Jalal. Atgah who wants to show himself fit and fine to bring relief to Jalal and Jiji Anga who shared how she had given her milk to Jalal as well but saw it as a bond and not dhood ka karz. What a foil to the Maham Anga scene we had seen right before. I hope their son will continue to be a positive force in Agra once Atgah's inevitable end happens.
right... the scene was good... setting the base for soon to be new entry of Aziz Koka, Gigi and Atga's son, and i think Jalal's commander-in chief...(3) Jalal's immediate reaction to MA and Jodha's truth: Jalal (and Rajat) nailed this scene. There was sadness and questions in Jalal's eyes but not a drop of anger. MA can no longer easily rile up Jalal about Jodha and it was satisfying to watch. Contrast this to the earlier Jalal, and you will definitely see a big difference. The sad ishq hai woh ehsaas was a beautiful touch. Sad for all of us but definitely shows the signs of an understanding husband.
(2) Maham can no longer read Jalal at all: While we could all read Jalal's sadness, this is where MA is failing now- she can no longer read Jalal's expressions and reactions. She is expecting an immediate "dhamaka" but she does not recognize that her old Jalal has changed so much. Also, can I remind you, every time MA has predicted a big dhamaka, e.g., Shivani fiasco, it has fizzled out. In addition, she continues to fly too high by twisting the truth on Suja. Clear signs of failure.
(1) Jalal's trust in Jodha: The last scene was the highlight for me. Jalal passed the trust test ... He realizes that Jodha cannot have bad intentions. And as a true husband, is worried about her safety. Today, no matter what happens tomorrow, I am satisfied. This is what we were waiting for: Jalal to trust Jodha even after being instigated by MA, having the leaf letter as proof there is truth to what MA is saying, and no Salima Begum to advise him. He has past the test with flying colors. What a beautiful scene and CVs I thank you for showing this today instead of dragging it till tomorrow! Hats ofd! 👏
Tomorrow, Jalal may get angry at Jodha but he has every right to get angry- she has hidden the truth from him despite repeatedly asking and putting her security and the sultanate's security at risk. Whenever Jalal has made a mistake in the past, Jodha has been upset with him and Jalal has apologized- why can we not expect the same from Jodha?
I think she needs to learn an important lesson of trusting her husband. Since Jalal is passing the trust test with flying colors, I think this is the last step before the love confession we are all waiting for.
if she again tells him that she trusts Sujamal to be innocent, and asks permission from him to meet Sujamal and find the proofs, will Jalal agree to it? coz he has already made up his mind against Sujamal, without actually knowing him or meeting him... he has made his mind on basis of what others have told him abt Suja... but when Jo tried to tell him , he brushed her off as she was thinking like a sister... so will she able to tell him the truth, without any proofs in her hand?
and Jalal to get angry, then yes, he will be upset... what will happen , when he will come to know that Jo was again right abt suja being innocent and framed wrongly, and he (Jalal) should have trusted Jo more than others... what then? again he will say sorry ? why not trust her right now, when he knows that she is upto something and will tell him when right time will come...
So, what are your thoughts on the episode today?
episode was really good... and i want Jalal to not let his trust break for Jo, and to wait for her to come out with the truth... this is his only chance to win her... one question from her, and he will lose all trust he has won from her till date... and abt his trust, then if even after poison episode, he doubts her just coz right now she is not saying a word abt her actions, then i ll say, Jo should leave agra (sorry for being harsh)... coz if she still is doubted, then it means none of her actions r worth winning his trust... so what's use of her going to such extent?
