Another edition of Take 5 traveling down memory lane ... A lot of people shared great ideas on what to discuss ... I have stored them all as after all we will have many weekends to spend the time. 😊
So for the topic this weekend, the signature step of this serial has been its hand-holds. I know some people are bored of the hand-holding but on recalling all the hand-holds I realized our leads have made a lot of progress! 😉
So, I am going to share my top 5 hand-hold scenes ... Please add yours to the
Iist. We have so many options! And it will help us distract ourselves for a bit from the storm clouds over our favorite jodi.
The wedding hand hold is by far my favorite but since I included it last week as one of my favorite Akdha scenes, I will not include it here.
(1) Saving Moti: A desperate Jodha comes with a farmaan to free her sakhi; unsure what Jalal is up to after she tears the farmaan, she holds Jalal's arm for the first time to his utter amusement. Shocked at what she has done (this still has not changed, by the way) she withdraws, about to fall back, Jalal holds her hand and pulls her toward him. Uff, and his smirk was to die for, their faces next to each other, as he says no one can change his word! And he walks off! 😳
(2) First time with Salim Chisti: The newly married couple come in front of Salim Chisti for the first time- he predicts their greatness of their jodi and their child. However, then neither Jodha nor Jalal really believed it. With Hamida Bano's mannat, both found themselves in a deep thought on how to get out of this mess. Even then Jalal couldn't leave the opportunity, as he got down from where they were sitting, he turned around with a smile to die for, and gave Jodha his hand to help her down. She looked trapped as she looked left and right to a smiling Hamida Bano and others ... She hesitantly gives her hand to the BGM of Ishq hein ehsaas. In a way, the hand lock seemed to lock what Salim Chisti destined for them. And note, they were not so worried when Salim Chisti told them the same thing during their last visit.😉 There is progress- slowly but steadily.
(3) Sukanya's mehndi after Jalal is caught peeking: Jodha comes to take every opportunity to taunt Jalal but finds herself caught in his mind game. I love the way he holds her hand, smells her mehndi ... She is unsure what to do, she does not withdraw her hand immediately. When she does take her hand away, he holds one finger back a minute as if not willing to let it go. He has cornered her with his question on whether she is in love with him and then traps her in her own punishment- classic stuff this was! 😆
And then of late, the tables have turned ... It is our Jodha reaching out to hold her Jalal's hand. 😳
(4) Badal-Kajri next to the fire: Jodha, impressed by all the efforts her dear Shehenshah is taking for her, stops him from lighting the fire again. Seeing him hurt she very casually holds his hand and brings him to sit and says that a little cold will not hurt her. He starts caressing her hand and she becomes conscious. But the best part was what Jalal says next- stating that she was trying to take advantage of the situation, "mauka hai , dastoor hai" She could only object verbally - but we all saw right through it! 😉
(5) The night where Jalal is mesmerized by her music: She is surprised to see him there ... He being in a cautious mind-set asks if he should go ... Both are hurt. Immediately, without hesitating, Jodha holds his hand to stop him from leaving. Both are surprised by her action. Jodha withdraws her hand and in a classic touch, Jalal tries to grasp her hand again but resists the temptation. As our silly Jodha apologizes, Jalal correctly states he was surprised she let his hand go. His baaghin is a slow learner! 😆
So, what is your favorite hand hold? There are so many options! Ras gullas anyone! 😉
