IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ORIGINAL HISTORY. IT'S A FAN FIC WITH SAME CHARACTERS AND FEW ARE CREATED BY ME. ANOTHER IS AT MANY PLACES HEER KUNWAR IS USED FOR JODHA, DON'T GET CONFUSED. PLEASE NOTE ALL CHARACTERS ARE TOTALLY FICTITIOUS! I'M DOING NO OFFENSE OF ANY CHARACTER.

Chapter Four

(Finally Jodha woke up and got ready for her new day in Agra. As usual Jalal was busy in his sword fighting... Maham was discussing about some riyasati mamla(political work) with Humayun... Jalal was too giving his opinions while doing different moves with his sword.)

Hamida came with Jodha... Jodha was looking stunningly beautiful in blue- green combination Lehenga choli... with diamond jewelry. Hamida did aadab to everyone and Jodha did Pranam... Maham wasn't much happy seeing Jodha in Royal Garden... Adham was also not much happy... Sharifuddin smirked within... And Jalal was mesmerized as usual...

Humayun- Aapko neend to aayi na acchese Shahzadi? (Did you sleep well last night Princess?)

Jodha- Jee Kakasaa... Kya bataye aapko kitni acchi neend aayi humein... Rahim ke saath... (Yes Uncle... I tell you how well I slept last night... with Rahim...)

Humayun(total confused)- Kya? Rahim ke saath? Aap Jalal ke Janankhane mein soyi thi? (What? With Rahim? Did you sleep in Jalal's Harem?)

Jodha- Jee...

Everyone was shocked. How can she sleep in Jalal's harem when she is NOT his Begum... It was against rules. Though she's a lady but no outsider was allowed in Harem at night... not even a lady!

Maham- Muaf kijiye Baadshah par ye Mughal kanun ke khilaaf hai... Ye Jalal ki Begum to nahi hai... to ye Harem mein gayi kaise? Inko saza milni chahie... (I'm sorry your majesty... but this is against Mughal rules... She is not Jalal's wife then why did she enter in Harem? She should be punished.)

Jodha- Nahi... Shiksha to Jalaluddin ko milni chahiye.. (No... Jalal should be punished...)

Maham - Kya aap janti hai... Ki aap kiske baare mein baat kar rahi hain... wo Mughal Saltanat ke Shahzade hai... Adab se naam lijiye unka... (Do you know whom you are talking about? He is crown prince of Mogul Empire... Address him with respect...)

Jalal- Rehne dijiye Badi Ammi... Inki aadat hai... Bachpan se... (Let it be Badi Ammi... It's her habit since childhood... I'm used to it now)

Humayun and Hamida laughed. They again continued their discussion about Baj Bahadur's attack on Malwa...

Adham- Baadshah, Baj Bahadur ke sipahiyon ko harane ke liye humein naye hathiyaron ki zaroorat padegi... sare hathiyar badalne padenge... aur iske saath hi Khazana bhi lagega... (King, We will need new weapons and money for defeating Baj Bahadur's army. )

Jodha- Kya hum kuch bol sakte hain? (Can I say something?)

Humayun- Kahiye... (Yes please?)

Jodha- Humein nahi lagta ki aur kimat ki aavshyakta hai... (I don't think there is need of extra money!)

Adham- Ye Agra hai ... Aamer nahi... aapke key ki koi zaroorat nahi hai yaha... aur ek baat kaise zaroorat nahi hai? (It's Agra not your Aamer... There is no need of your suggestions... And how could you say that there is no need of extra money?)

Jodha- Dekhiye, Baaj Bahadur ke paas koi bhi accha sipahi nahi hai jo aapke liye chunauti bann sakta hai... Unki sena mein chan log hai... To aap itne mudraon ka kya karenge? (Look, Baaj Bahadur has no brave soldiers who can challenge you... he have few men in his army... you will not need any extra ration or money...)

Humayun- Baat to sahi hai Shahzadi... (You are absolutely right princess... Baaj Bahadur has very weak army... there is no need of extra money and gun powder...)

(Adham fumed. He wanted that money for his own army... against Humayun... But at that time argument was of no use... He had to wait for next chance... Surprisingly when SHE opposed him Jalal didn't utter a single word... Adham looked at Jalal who was busy in admiring HER intelligence... Till now no one opposed him like she did today... not even Jalal... well, Jalal was totally unaware that Adham was collecting gun powder, money and ration for his own army against him and his father. Jodha also unknowingly stepped in this war... Adham made his mind for taking revenge from Jodha too...)

(Few hours later whole Royal Family finished their lunch. Rahim was sitting in Jodha's lap. He was curious to know what happened to the Brave Princess in Jodha's story. Jalal never found Rahim this curious about any story... "She must be telling a beautiful story" ,he thought... After lunch butter milk stall was placed in garden especially for Jodha... She took Rahim with him and took a big glass of butter milk and sat in shade resuming her story... Jalal too joined them. Rahim and Jodha were sharing a same glass.)

Jalal- Humein bhi toh bataiye kya ho raha hai? (Hey! What's going on? Let me join in!)

Rahim- Pari Shahzadi humein kahani suna rahi hai... (Fairy-like- Princess is telling me a story)

Jalal- Accha? (Really?) To iss kahani mein Shahzada hai ya nahi? Jo Shahzadi se nikah karega? (Is there's a Prince to marry this Princess in this story?)

(Rahim looked at Jodha... Where's the Prince? Story cannot be complete without Prince, hai na abbu?)

Jalal- Haa, Rahim... Shahzade ke bina Kahani puri kaise hogi? Bataiye Heer Kunwar...

(Jodha asked Rahim to take rest and Rahim left. Jodha got up and was about to leave when Jalal caught her hand tightly... )

Jalal- Aapko zara bhi darr nahi lagta? (You do not fear at all?)

Jodha- Kis ka?

Jalal- Hamse?...

Jodha- Nahi to? Parantu kyu?

Jalal- Aap hamare harem mein so rahi thi... iska matlab jaanti hai aap? Harem ki hare k aurat par hamara haq hai... to hum jo chahe wo kar sakte the... (You were sleeping in my Harem... You know what does that mean? I have right on every woman of Harem... I can do whatever I want)... Jalal chuckled. ..

Jodha- Aap humein chunauti de rahe hain? (are you challenging me?)

Jalal- Haan... (Yes)

Jodha- To theek hai hum aaj raat ko aapke kaksh mein soyenge... dekhte hain kaun humein bahar nikalta hai aur aap kya kar sakte hain! (Okay... Tonight I will sleep in YOUR BEDROOM... Let's see what you can do!) Aap apni puri takad laga dijiye humein darane mein... Parantu agar hum jeete to humein kya milega? (Do the best you can to scare me... but what do I get if I win?)

Jalal- To hum zindagi mein aapki koi bhi ek baat manenge...

Jodha theek hai... dekhte hain... (Okay! Let's see)

(Humayun witnesses the whole conversation and leaves...)

Night arrives... As par challenge Jodha comes to sleep in Jalal's room. She comes to bed and finds Jalal already sleeping there with his pet cub named Jahan. Jahan was sleeping under the blanket that's why Jodha didn't notice him... She thought it's just a pillow. She looked at Jalal and he smiled at her and winked. She got angry and said...

Jodha- Tum yaha kya kar rahe ho? Tumne to kaha tha kit um humein daraoge... (What are you doing here? You were supposed to scare? right?)

Jalal- To hum wahi kar rahe hain... (Ya that is what I am doing!)

Jodha- Theek hai humein darr nahi lagta... Par tum yaha nahi soo sakte... Chalo kahi aur jao... (Okay, I am not afraid of anything. ... But you cannot sleep here, just go and sleep somewhere else now.)

Jalal pulled her hand and Jodha fell on him with a thud.

Jalal- Kyat um humein hamare hi harem se nikalogi? (Are you going to throw me out of my own Harem, aren't you?)

Jodha- Harem se nahi kaksh se jaane ke liye keh rahe hai... Yaha humein sona hai... tum nahi soo sakte... Samjhe? (I am asking you to go out of this room not from your Harem, I want to sleep here alone! Understand?!)

Jalal- Jab ye hamara hojra hai to hum kyu nahi soo sakte? (Why cannot I sleep in my own Hojra?)

Jodha- Tum hamare pati ho kya? Jo hamare saath sooge? (How can you sleep with me in the same room, You're not my husband!)

Jalal- Koi baat nahi Shahzadi... Nikah ki kya zaroorat hai? Aap chahe to hum Raja Sahab se kehkar aapko hamre harem mein rakh lenge... (No issues, why do we need to marry; I'll just ask Raja Sahab and keep you in my Harem?)

Jodha- Aaahhhaaahhaaa... Aaye bade apne harem mein rakhne wale... tumhe apna harem priya nahi hai kya? Aur apni shakal dekhi hai darpan me? Tumse to koi Mendak hi vivah kare... Hum to Sherni hai... Ek mendak se to vivah nahi karenge na! (Ahahaha... you're such a big-head.. Don't you love you harem? Have you seen yourself in the mirror ever? Only a frog would marry you, not me, M a Tigress. I will not marry a Frog like you!)

Jalal- Ya Allah! Pura harem hamari ek nazar ko tarasta hai... Aur ye hein Shahzadi Heer Kunwar ye humein Mendak keh rahi hai... Wah... Ek baat bataiye Shahzadi... Pure Hindustan mein aisi koi Shahzadi nahi hai jo humein aise keh sake... Aap pehli hain... Inshaallah aapko darane mein bahut maza aayega! (Ya Allah, the complete Harem yearns for a glimpse from me and this Princess Heer Kunwar is calling me a frog.. Wah... I tell you, there is nobody in entire Hindustan who can say this to me, you're the first, Inshallah, it will so much fun to frighten the life out of you!)

Jodha- Pure Rajvanshiyaon mein sirf hum hi hai jisko itni chhut hai anyatha koi rajvanshi stree bina ghoonghat apne pita ke saamne bhi nahi jaati... par hum to aapke saamne khade hain wo bhi aap hi ke harem mein aura apse hi lad rahe hai... Isse jyada aur mahatvapurna baat kya ho sakti hai? (Nobody in the whole of Rajasthan is permitted to even stand in front of their fathers without ghoonghat but see, am here standing before you in your own Harem, arguing with you without the ghoonghat! What can be more pertinent than this?)

Jalal- Wahi toh... aap ek Rajvanshi aurat... Jiska nikah bhi nahi hua... Mughal Shahzade ke hojre mein khadi hein... Raat ko... aur wo bhi bina purdah... Aapko kuch ajeeb nahi lagta? (Just look at it, You are a Rajvanshi princess and you're right in front of a Mughal prince at night in his room itself without any pardah, don't you find it a bit gauche?)

Jodha- wo kya hai na ki aap mughlon ke vyavahar ke karan log aapko nirday maante hai... striyon par atyachaar karne wale maante hai... Par kya hai na... ki agar aap humare saath kuch karne ka prayas kare to bhi nahi kar payenge... Kyunki... humein talwarbaazi aati hai... tirandazi aati hai... aur kushti bhi aati hai... Aur waise bhi humein ye karne ki koi aavashyakta bhi nahi padegi... Hum yahase jor se chillayenge to SalimaJi aayengi... aur phir wo ye baat kakasaa ko batayengi... Phir aap soch lijiye ki aapka kya hoga? (Look, people assume you Mughals as cold-hearted and atrocious towards women. Anyway, even if you try to do something coarse, you will fail because am very good at sword fighting, archery and other warfare. By the way, I don't even need to do anything of such because i'll shout and then Salimaji would come and tell Kakasa. Then you can well think what will happen with you!)

Jalal- Accha? To aap humein hi dara rahi hain... Ki aap hamare abba se hamari shikayat karengi... Theek hai... Kijiye... (Oh really? So you are trying to scare me by complaining to my own father. Alright go ahead!)

Jodha- Wo to hum karenge hi... par tumhe ek kissa batayein... Ek baar kya hua ki... (Yes, that I will do. Let me tell you an incident. Once what happened is...)

Jodha stopped in mid-sentence. And made a face... Jalal looked at her confusingly...

Jodha- Utho... (Get up)

(But Jalal didn't agree. Finally Jodha sat besides hum. Their shoulder's touching each other's. Jalal was super impress. He never imagined that some can do this... Not even Ruqaiya dared to sit without his permission on his bed... And this girl... Ufff!

Jodha continued...)

Haan to hum kya keh rahe the ki ek baar kya hua ki ek aadmi apni patni ko maar raha tha... to humne usko aisa pita aisa pita ki abb wo apni patni ke pair bhi dabata hai...(So what was I telling... Ya, once what happened, that a man was hitting his wife, I had beaten him so much that now that man behaves so well with his wife that even kneads her legs.)

Jalal- Ya allah... Aapto badi takatwar hai...(Ya Allah, you're very strong)

(Before Jodha starts another sentence Jalal started leaning on her... closer... More closer... Again their faces were inches apart but jodha didn't budge... she didn't step back... Jalal smirked on her antic. She was not feared at all... Jodha smiled.)

Jodha- Aapko kya laga ki hum darr jayenge?... bilkul nahi... Hum aapse nahi darte.. (So what did you think? I will be so easily terrified.. never! I am not afraid of you!)

Jalal (in mind)- Maan gaye aapko Heer kunwar... (I am impressed Heer Kunwar)
