MA-JALAL
Trying to avoid the plotting that MA was busy carrying out, I decided to concentrate on the scenes instead. I liked the white pardah vista - a new setting instead of the standard DEK. The new man (courtier???) who was chatting about 'Jodha Begum' to MA was also quite convincing!
And then ta-dah! Arrives the Shehnshah! (God he looks tiny in front of Adham Khan😳)
Anyway, I couldn't help but chuckle to myself when I caught Jalal's sudden 'Omg Jodha sent me a paigaam' buried smile on his face as soon as he heard the news. Why, he had to dismiss the rest of them too - lest they discovered and counted the number of laddoos phooting in his head at that point! To top it all, she'd expressed an interest to boat ride with him - on a full moon night? Surely, his luck was beginning to change!!!😆
JODHA-MOTHI
These two were an absolute treat to watch throughout the episode!
Initially, Jodha's half-hearted dismissal of Mothi's teasing was no less of a pleasure - her silent abashment whenever Mothi brought up a new indisputable fact. At one point, she didn't even hide her evident glee when Mothi'd uttered the tell-tale 'Looks like he's started feeling something special for you!'😳
'So what if the Shehenshah has called for me...I'm not going to go there decked up like a doll?' (Like REALLY, Jo?😆)
However, Jodha finally caved in! She HAD to - and that's the power of attraction and love! The urge of wanting to look special - the power of wanting to be one with the one you yearn for!
Later on, during the palanquin ride her chiding of Mothi is nothing short of uber-adorable either! 😆
'All because of you, he'll be left waiting now...wear this...wear that...tie your hair this way...you kept pestering me'
(Mothi saying its ok for the Shehenshah to wait for her khaas Begum seems a bit inappropriate and disrespectful on her part - is it only me?)
DRESSING UP DRESSING UP
Half the mahal was busy dressing up at a juncture - the scene was hilarious!
Ruqaiyya dressing to please the Shehenshah - Jodha dressing for the sake of Jalal - Jalal dressing to please Jodha - it was all a treat to watch!
Not to mention, how Jalal had an abashed smile while splashing oodles of that pheromone-styled 'draw-women-to-men' Attar!😆
Had Ruqaiyya not kept harping on about the 'Anti-Jodha' slogan, I would have felt really sorry for her. This MA is such a vile woman!
FIRST GLANCES
Jalal's smitten looks - her coy smiles as soon as she got off the palanquin - what a sight. These two make such a beautiful couple! The setting was sooo romantic too!
PRECAP
Hesitation galore! If having to debate or argue on a topic, these two can talk for two cities. However, when its all about overcoming those first flutters of nervousness and confessing their feelings, neither has the guts, do they?
