Jalal opened his eyes to find her face resting peacefully on his bare shoulder, with his arm wrapped loosely around her waist. Her eyes were still closed and her face seemed to be emitting a rich, godlike glow. He looked down at her in pure love and admiration. He had slept with many Begums and Kaneez's but had never felt the way he had a few hours ago. He had always thought that love was a bad thing, that it made men weaker, but after meeting his Jodha Begum he had discovered the joy of loving... the joy of being loved.

There were still a few hours left before sunrise and few early birds had begun chirping softly, the sound of them seemed to arouse her. Her eyes opened and she blinked a few times before looking up at him. Colour flooded her cheeks as she looked at him and he smirked at her reaction. Suddenly her eyes seemed to harden and pain was evident on her face, Jalal sat up straight in reaction to her expression, his eyebrows furrowing in confusion. She pulled a sheet off the bed and wrapping it around her, stepped off the bed and started to walk away when he caught her and pulled her into his arms.

"Kya hua" He whispered looking at her.

"Kuch nahi" She replied, not meeting his eyes.

"Humme dekhiye" He said tenderly lifting her chin with his fingers so as to meet her eyes. She looked into his eyes, losing herself in his eyes.

"Hum bohot burre hain" She said tears falling from her eyes. Jalal's heart wrenched at her tears. He pulled her into his arms, hugging her figure caressing her hair.

"Shhh... khuda ki kiye aap mat roiye, humme aapke aansoon bardasht nahi hote" He pleaded, kissing her hair, still hugging her as she sobbed into his chest. "Aapko aise kyun lagta hain ki aap burri hain" He asked her softly.

"Kyunki humne chori ki hai" She replied pulling herself away from him.

"Chori? Kya churaya hain aapne?" He asked puzzled.

"Aapko..." She said softly.

"Kya matlab?" He asked bewildered.

"Humne ruquaiya begum se unka sab se keemti cheez churaya hain, unka prem, unka pati... aap" She said burying her face in his chest once again sobbing quietly. Jalal smiled at her innocence.

"Aap ne humme kisse se nahi churaya hain, hum aapse milne se pehele kissi sse bhi mohobaat nahi karte the, hum toh kissi ki the hi nahi, toh phir kaise chori?" He smiled at her. "Aur vaise bhi, ruquaiya begum ko humse mohobatt nahi hai, usse toh sirf shenshah-e-hind se itefaq hai" He added a little sadly. Jodha looked up at him in surprise at his words, he noticed her glace and gave a small smile towards her.

"Haan Jodha begum, aaj tak kissi ne Jalal ko chaha yah prem nahi kiya hai,sab ke sab shahenshah ko chahatein. Shayad issi vajah se hum samajththe the ke hummare paas dil hi nahi hain. Phir aap aayi aur peheli baar kissi ne humme, jalal, ko mohobatt kiya, humara fikr tha aapko. Jab bhi humme koyi ghav aati tab hum aapki aankhon mein dard dikhte, jab bhi humme kushi hoti toh vahi khushi hum aapke aankhien mein dekthe. Aap ne humme mohobatt karna sikhaya, aur aap hi ne humse sab se zyada mohobatt ki hain" He said tenderly, taking hold of her hand, whilst she still gazed into his eyes. A lone tear spilled out of his eyes and she wiped it away softly. Slowly she stood on her tiptoes and kissed him softly on his check, flushing a bright red as she pulled away. He smirked at her touch.

"Shahenshah aap humme jaane dijiye" She said softly, trying to pull herself away from him.

"Arre aap kaha challi... Aap ne humme bohot tadpai hain, aaj toh hum aapko kahi nahi jaane deyenge" He smirked yanking the sheet off her and placing her on the bed again silencing her protests by crushing his lips against hers.

Much later she was lying on his chest with his arm wound loosely around her warm body. Her head rested against his masculine, toned chest, and her hair flared behind her. He opened his eyes and saw her still sleeping with her eyes closed peacefully, a small smile on her lips. He looked over her, truly he had never seen such a miraculous beauty in his life before. Everything about her drew him in whether it was her warm eyes, her long black locks or her sweet strawberry coloured lips. Just then she opened her eyes and looked up at him. He gave her a small grin and she smiled back although he could see she was embarrassed and he made up his mind to tease his wife some more.

"Aaah" He feigned scrunching up his face in mock pain. She looked up at him in concern and immediately rose off his chest.

"Kya hua aap thik toh hain na?" She asked raising her hand to his forehead to feel his temperature. He let out a small smile of amusement at her worry.

"Kya kahein Jodha, aapne humara kamar hi thod diya" He said grinning at her.

"Kya? Humme kab yeh kiya? Hum aise kyun karenge bhalla?" She asked in anger

"Shayad aapko yaad nahi hain Begum Sahiba lekin kal raat aap yeh bistar pe aane tak humari bahaon mein hi thi, aur uski baad bhi, iss sab mein aap hi ne kuch kiya hoga, sach mein aapne humari kamr thod hi dhi" He smirked while she flushed a tomato red at his words.

"Ji nahi! Hum ne aapka kamr ko chuhe tak nahi" She said indignantly. He chuckled at her words and his smirk just got more pronounced.

"Humari baat par vishwas kijiye, ki aapne humme chua toh zuroor" He said while she looked away shyly. "Aur vaise bhi aapko yeh sab pata nahi hoga kyun ki aap toh aapni hosh mein nahi thi, aapko humse pyar karne ki illava kuch aur nazar hi nahi aa raha tha, aap khafi mashroof thi kal raat ko" He said chuckling at her discomfort.

"Accha hum chaltein hain" She said, still a bright red. She made to move away and get up when he pulled her towards him and rolled over her so that she was trapped in between his body and the bed. He pushed her hair from her face and kissed her cheeks softly. He bent again to claim her lips when she stopped him by placing her fingers on his lips.

"Bohot dair ho chukka hain Shahenshah, aap humme jaane dijiye" She whispered. He smiled and took her hand from his mouth and kissed her fingers.

"Hmmm, thik hain hum aapko janne denge, ek shart par" He smiled, propping himself up on his elbow.

"Kaise shart?" She asked him smiling.

"Aapko humme Shahensha kehena band karni padegi, aap humme Jalal bulaiye" He said

"Shahensha yeh hum nahi kar sakte, ek patni aapni pati ka naam nahi leti" She said blushing at him. He smiled at her innocence, lying back down on her he started kissing down her neck, suddenly preoccupied with playing with her mangalsutra. "Toh hum kya sirf aapke pati hain? Aapke dost nahi?" He teased, still fiddling with the chain that hung around his wife's neck.

"Nahi, aap humari dost kaise ho sakte hain hum aapse bohot prem karte hain" She said quickly. After a minute she realised what she had said and turned her face away in shock while he grinned again at her innocence. Unable to resist and further he leaned down and pressed down against her rosy pink lips. Much to his dislike she pulled away far too quickly to his liking and he frowned.

"Thik hain, agar aap woh nahi kar sakti hain toh hum aapko ek saza denge" He said. She smiled much to his surprise.

"Thik hain humme manzoor hain, aap jo bhi chahenge hum karenge" She said. He smirked at her.

"Soch lijiye, hum aapse kuch bhi karva sakte hain" He teased. She smiled and nodded. He smirked and pointed to his cheek, indicating for a kiss. She blushed and shook her head shyly.

"Arre yeh toh bemaani ho gayi! Aap ne kaha tha ki hum jo bhi chahenge aap karengi, toh hum aapse yeh chatein hain" He insisted sitting up so she could fulfil her sazza. She flushed an even darker red and hesitated. Shyly she placed her hand on his other cheek and pressed her lips against his indicated cheek. He closed his eyes at her touch and gave an inward sigh as he felt her soft lips touch and linger over his cheek. She hurriedly straightened and was about to withdraw her hand from his face when he stopped her, turning his face so that his other cheek was facing her. She hesitantly bent forward and meekly touched her lips to it, and when he indicated his forehead she softly kissed him there too. He finally released her and she stood and was about to leave into the bathroom when he pulled her towards him again.

"Hum toh bhul hi gaye the, aap ek jagah bhool gayi" He said smirking, indicating to his lips. Her face flooded with colour as she realised what he meant and she shyly lowered her eyes to the ground. He placed a finger on her chin and raised her face to his and smiled gently.

"Koyi baat nahi, yeh kaam hum hi poora kar lete hain" He whispered, tilting his head to press his lips onto hers. He cupped her face and continued kissing her ardently until he reluctantly broke away for air, leaving an extremely shy Jodha in his wake. He pulled her closer to him and slid his arm down her back. "Aap yeh sharmana band kareye, aaj se hum yehi karne wale toh aadat bhi daal dijye begum sahiba" He whispered his voice turning husky. After and minute she stepped back and ran into the bathroom he face still blushing, leaving him aching for her touch again.
