Have the CVs changed or something- I cannot believe I enjoyed the episode so much even after Ruqs entered. Jokes apart I really enjoyed today's episode. At some point, the Jodha-Jalal relationship had to pass the Ruqs test, so why not now to strengthen it? 😊
Divya I always admire that you look for and notice positivity always😊
Here is my take 5 of what I liked about today's episode:
(1) Ek khoobsurat duaa: Loved the duaa scene as it showed their hearts were one in so many ways and I am glad that they flashbacked the last dargah scene so we could realize the difference. Before, they were together physically, today they were together emotionally. This was shown by how Jodha tied the dhaaga right on top of Jalal's. Loved how he asked for her saath forever (I wish he had fast forwarded a bit and asked for pyaar and saath). The best touch was Jodha asking that whatever he wished for come true. Though she didn't say it explicitly, I have a strong feeling Jodha knows what Jalaal's heart wants and she is very close to giving it. Did I see a shy / blushing Jodha run off like a new dulhan? I couldn't believe what I saw! I was left with the same question as Jalal which is why she didn't speak her heart out ... Well, only the CVs know. 😉
So nicely written the first 2 lines especially.
You know when they showed flashback to Ajmer dhaga tying I was hoping they would also show Jalal remembering tying the dhaga alone when Jodha was on deathbed, that would have make him so much more thankful that Jodha is beside him now
I am thinking now they both are at such wonderful content happy place, they do not really expect anything from the other. I am sure both Jodha and Jalal want the other to return the love, but they are just happy to be with each other this way too.
Jodha and Jalal have come back to teasing each other so have grown so much more confident of each other on this trip😊
(2) Simplicity vs. audha: Multiple times there was a contrast of Jodha's simplicity with Ruqs audha which I loved and was clearly observed by Jalal. I enjoyed Jalal and Jodha's conversation on the simplicity and purity of the place- what a stark contrast to Ruqs emphasis on ruthbaa as she showed up with her jewels, entourage, and her gold coins. This same theme showed up multiple times as they debated going back as a common man, how Jodha vs. Ruqs described the hut, and Jodha's respect for a simple roti. We all knew that Ruqs would sing her audha song (as Abhay put it) today but I love how Jodha's simplicity sparkled like crystal clear water.
Rukayya just spoiled the mood, I was hoping she might miss them. Love the line in bold so true
(3) Jodha maintained her dignity in front of Ruqs: It is so easy for Jodha to retort to Ruqs taanas. But, Jodha is above these cat fights. I loved how she left Jalal and Ruqs alone when she first arrived, when they debate on how to return, and in the bedroom. It shows how secure she is about herself and her relationship with Jalal that I love it. And, actions do speak louder than words, e.g., how Jodha helped Ruqs with the chapathi and took care of her when she burnt her hand.
Jodha was all about dignity and Rukayya all about crass petty behavior
(4) Jalal showed Ruqs her place while continuing to support her as a friend: There were multiple times Jalal hinted that Ruqs ruined things- while he emphasized his journey as a common man, we all know it was because she interrupted his journey with Jodha. He puts his foot down that he will return only as a common man and it is up to her to join him. However, I respect Jalal for giving her the affection of a best friend saying he would be happy if she joined and eating her burnt chapathi. It shows that he will always give her the affection and love of a best friend and I respect Jalal for that.
Jalal pampers Rukayya too much, I always think she behaves well only with him, she is abrasive and insulting and mocking with everybody else
(5) However, there is a difference between a best friend and soul mate / lover and Jalal showed that very clearly. When talking to Ruqs, his eyes were on Jodha. Note Jalal's reaction when Ruqs burnt her hand- he was concerned but he did not feel her pain like Jodha. And in the precap, he could not help himself and came out to see Jodha. 😊
With that Take 5, I hope you all have a great weekend. I am looking forward to the coming week.
