True...Too many things happened and unbelievable logic.
But I was prepared thanx to the precap and promo.
I saw the episode as it aired in my time zone a couple of hrs ago. The editing, expressions were actually pathetic, something I overlooked in my excitement when I caught it online earliar.
BUT In a way I was relieved Ben saga is finally over. I for one could not stand her or Jallul becoming a lallu.

i agree with u fully here mansi
we really had great expectatiions
after seeing the episode i felt it was so loosely directed
jalal had to focus on many things at the same time
jodhas sacrifice did not sink in him as yet
the reactions were very lukewarm
not at all up to the standard

I was waiting for your analysis today. As usual its awesome. After so many days i saw episode and came to read ur analysis. I totally agree with you. Its totally disappointing episode. Their is no concern in jalal eyes for Jodha after saving his life. He was more concerned abt ruqu. The dialogue "Hum sambhal lenge jodha begum ko" killed total episode. Only Ben dialogues are Bang on about Ruqu, MA and Jalal and also audha ka paudha got dropped was hilarious.

Why so disappointed ? When compared to the recent episodes yesterday's was better.
I found the episode okay except ben's eye opener speech with half a dozen swords at her neck and ruqs in her grasp. Any villain would only want to escape not talk.

Jalal thought that the hakimaas will take care of jo and prioritised ruqaiya's plight in ben's clutches. Don't worry. After he realises the seriousness of the poison he will weep buckets. He always cries hard for his dear ones and he will regret all the more today as well as this time his misery is compounded with guilt as well.

There is sure to be more drama this time than the post tiger fiasco which was wound up in 2 episodes.

Whatever ben is most likely to be finished today.

A beautiful and realistic analysis...
I am also disappointed with the episode...It made Jo's heroism look very ordinary and the only redeeming feature was that Jo said she did it for duty...Thank god that EK didn't make Jo look completely stupid by addmiting anything emotional...

Jalal's reactions were shocking...We are more shocked at his reactions than he was at seeing Jo's dying...I disagree that he was numb with shock...Forum has justified Jallu humiliating Jo by saying that he was greatly hurt by that shove and he loves Jo...I have never believed that...If he did love her he could not have humiliated Jo again and again and let MA and Ruku do it too...It was not his heart but his ego that was hurt...Again if he felt any love for Jo then his first reaction towards Jo would have been of shock, fear of loosing her and of pain combined in one...but we got nothing like that...

I loved Ben for speaking few home truths to him...Jalal looked like a clown standing there and listening...

Again when he said I know why it all happened , I thought probably he got his brains back and will blame himself for Jo's condition ...but no such thing...Instead he blamed Abul for Jo's conditions...He never ever takes responsibility for his actions...then he comes to know that Abul has escaped and his reactions make him look even more incompetent ...

Hey mansi...yes i too expected little more drama and time devoted to jalal & jodha...but maybe they have kept the episode lil more realistic and trying to show that jalal will realize his feelings gradually...In yesterdays episode, he showed just confused, angry, shocked expressions... also he was too occupied with the whole sequence...now that he gets to knw that jodha wont survive, they will show him gradually realizing his feelings...

Love the tone of your post and your reasoning.
I was disappointed as well for the following reasons:
1. Jalal's smirk when he entered the hall (at Jodha glaring at Ben?)
2. His smile at Ben before he attempted to taste that seviyaan. He could have looked solemn instead of pleased.
3. Yes, his lack of expression as Jodha fainted.
4. His "Jodha begum ko sambaalenge lekhin Ruquaiya ko kuch hua tho zindha nehi chodenge" was the worst to me. How much more telling could that have been? Here was a wife who had swallowed poison for him and he was not just NOT equating her to his other begum but relegating her to "sambaalenge"

However, I do beg to differ on a few of your points:
1. In light of Jalal's continued insults and in the light of his lekhin remark to Ben later, I am glad Jodha did not throw her pride to the winds but in fact used that "kartavya" word. Why should she acknowledge love for a man who not only humiliated her (DEK) but is in fact marrying someone else to prove she is wrong? Let Jalal be beholden to her and realize her worth first. Also, if the love story begins this early, the serial may very well be over soon.
2. About Jalal screaming to his men to behead Abul Mali after that brief caress, I see it differently. Seeing Jodha in that plight angers him and as he is helpless and cannot do anything to help her, he does the next best thing, takes out his anger and frustration on the person responsible for her being in that condition.
3. As an emperor, I did not expect him to go right away to Jodha. I expected him to control the situation at hand and then hurry to his begum's side. He did do that but after that unfortunate remark and after Atgah Khan bid him to take care of Jodha.

Whatever Jalal does tomorrow, however much he relents and pines and prays and however much I might want to forgive him for everything he has done to insult Jodha, I will be hard pressed to explain that "lekhin Ruquaiya begum" line as it was way out of line, his smile at Ben, and lack of emotion at Jodha's collapsing except of course for those round orbs that stared at her with no apparent concern.

Hi Mansi,
Great analysis of the episode and assessment of our expectations.

I was also disappointed by Jalal's thanda response and I think it ls driven:
(1) He is ln shock- everything he believed was disproved.
(2) Having seen Zakira survive I think he thinks the poison is not that bad; he still hasn't realized he may lose her
(3) He feels helpless and doesn't know what to do- that is why he orders Abu Mali to be executed

Regardless of the execution I knew I would be celebrating Ben's exit. In this thread I have described what I found positive in the episode: www.india-forums.com/forum_posts.asp?TID=3906740. Would love to get your thoughts.

I think today will be the day Jalal's true feelings come out.
