Did Hindu rajputs those days practise cross cousin marriages? How come Bharmal's daughter ( Harkha bai) is getting Salim married to her brother's daughter? And as far as historical records go,Salim was born out of Princess of Jodhpur not Harka bai,the Prince's of Amer and bharmal's daughter. Salim had married princess of Marwar,Manwati bai who bore him Khurram. As far as I know very very few Kshatriya clans observed cross cousin marriages in north India and that too was done sparringly. I cannot understand the stupidity being dished out in the name of entertainment and people lapping up the same without giving any prior thought.

Salim may be born out of any other Jodhpuri princess because Akbar did marry a Jodhpuri rajput girl but he was never Harkha bai's son.So madam Harka bai arranging her supposedly son Salim's wedding with her brother's daughter is a joke and incest. Yes, it was a fact as per Salim's annals that he indeed married sister of Man Singh of Amer who was nephew of Akbar's one of the wives.

Hello, Salim 's mother was raja Bharmal's daughter Harka Bai. She was not princess of Jodhpur.

Yes first cousin marriage was not common among Kshatriya clans but was common among the Mughals. Salim did marry his first cousin ManBai who gave birth to his first son Khusrau. Akbar was very keen on this match " due to her noble lineage" as per Akbarnama. This serial had made up a lot of things but the two things mentioned by you are historical facts 😊
