The sixteenth century love saga of Jodha and Akbar is garnering a good amount of family audience and is sitting high on TRPs. The show that is currently airing on Zee TV has been inserted in the slot-Monday to Friday at 8 p.m.

Marriage of Convenience between Jodha and Akbar

The marriage between Jodha and Akbar was a result of an alliance between Rajputs and Mughals. However, Akbar is also enamoured by Jodha's beauty. Initially Jodha did not cling about the idea of marrying a fanatic Islamic oppressor but eventually had to tie the knot with him. Then the journey of fights and challenges followed but now it seems that the two have developed a soft corner for each other.

Rajat Tokas wins Renault Star Guild Awards 2014

Rajat Tokas, who plays the role of Emperor Akbar in Zee TV, bagged the Best Actor award at Star Guild. Rajat began his career as Ashu in TV series Bongo. Then he essayed the role of Prithviraj Chauhan in Dharti Ka Veer Yodha Prithviraj Chauhan, and Tantaya in the serial Sai Baba.

Please Scold Me, Shout on Me, says Jodha to Akbar

Jalal (Akbar) delicately touches Mirza's hair when he finds him sleeping. He removes his shoes and commands dasi to bring a blanket for him. Seeing Jalal, Jodha gets the blanket for Mirza but when he sees her he takes the blanket, places it on Mirza, and moves out.

She follows him, with a multitude of queries reflecting in her eyes, and asks him to scold her and even shout at her as her sister broke his brother. She says that she cannot endure this silence as it is killing her rather, she states, she would prefer to meet his reprimands. Jalal clasps her hands and states that he does not need her consent to punish her but he wants to take hold of the real felon in this case. According to him, Shivani and Tej are the actual culprits and they have to be castigated, thus, he's asked his soldiers to search them. when he looks at her he remembers the words of Mirza Hakim, his step-brother, that you can never hurt someone you love!

Well, the heartless Akbar has started developing a soft corner for the Princess of Amer.
