Hi all,
I understood that our forum members came from around the world.
So, I am planning to create threats that allow us to get to know about each others' cultures/religious/personal do and don't in daily life like when visiting you, what we should or shouldn't bring as a gift, what we should give as a birthday present, what colour is taboo when writing a note or when attend the wedding what is the do and don't...etc...

The rules:

1) You are free to express yourself but don't purposely hurts others.😊
2) This threat is an open discussion so please open your heart too.😉
3) All rules applied for IF are applied in this threat too.😃

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The first topic is:

Do/don't bring a/an ~~~ when visiting my family/a/an ~~~ because ~~~

*Just let us know the reasons behind the do's and don't s. Be it because of the culture/religious or because of your personal preferences.

Examples :

Don't bring non-halal stuff when visiting a Muslim because of religious law.

Do bring a box/packet of powder detergent when visiting a South Korean's new house because it is considered as good luck and prosperity.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay... I will start first...
Do bring a packet of sugar/sweets when visiting a Malay origin Muslim Malaysian's new house because it is symbolised as a prayer for the owner to have a sweet life in that house.
Don't bring anything with peanuts when visiting my family house because my youngest sister diagnosed with G6PD and peanuts can harm her very badly.
