OK i know everyone blaming Bakshi Bano saying she sided with bad husband so she is at fault.
But who exactly arranged her wedding to Sharifuddin- Akbar.
Yes, Bakshi a widow never said that within 6 months of being a widow i want to marry again. She did not get time to mourn her first husband to heal and married off to this Sharifuddin. Imagine plight of a 19 year old(OK she was 19 and Akbar 17 when she lost her husband and was married off to Sharifuddin). She did not say please marry me off to shariffudin she was just married off by her younger brother to some guy without proper verification of his character.
Bakshi knows how widows are treated in society and even royal family. May be she did not get time to heal that is why she is vulnerable. Now as it happens in indian society once girl is married off parents and siblings do not bother to check how husband treats you whether you like him any issues. Also even if parents and brothers get to know husband ill treating sister/daughter they keep quiet. Once she is married they think all duties towards sister/daughter done wash off your hands.
See yesterday episode Jalal admitted he would call Bakshi and console her when she was upset and in tears. So Jalal knows Sharifuddin is not a good husband and troubling her. Otherwise also ya in India we know which neighbour is misbehaving with wife etc because we as a society are a social even in 21st century. And that was harem will Akbar not get news how his sister was being treated by Sharifuddin. Definetly.
Bakshi seems to be the innocent scared type not like Jodha fierce fighting back type. So she will do anything father, brother, husband or son will say types rrespective of whether they are right or wrong. She is like cow which way you lead they go do not think ask questions. And remember Sharifuddin hits her threatens her abuses her such victims are lonely and scared and vulnerable. With such mentality a young girl who has not seen outside world always brought up like a small child inside four walls handheld first by Humayun then Akbar and now Sharifuddin will behave like Bakshi bano only.
If only jalal instead of concentrating so much on jodha's sisters had given half that time to his sister given her a ear to listen to her woes and a hand to give her strength Sharifuddin would have never dared to make her do all this. And she would have been as brave as Jodha to stand against her husband.
One day has Akbar called her and told her Bakshi if you are not happy in marriage you can divorce, i am sorry i did not correctly recognize shariffudin. I will take care of you and marry you to a better man?
And see Jalal you threaten Sukanya's father-in-law that you will tear her husbands heart if she cries one drop. What about giving such dhamki's to your own brother-in-laws like Abu malli and Sharifuddin? Your sister is crying tears of blood by obeying you and marrying Sharifuddin. So its you who are at complete fault not Bakshi. Even Hamida shares equal balme with you just saying beti beti and slapping at faults not enough.
Bakshi mentality is like a 5 year old child she needs handholding for everything. She will remain so all life because Humayun and Akbar have brought her up like that like a kid handholding her not allowing her to make independent decisions not allowing her outside four walls of agra fort, kabul fort, lahore fort and delhi fort etc. Its her upbringing and over protectitive father/brothers fault.
Even now there is time she is young and small teach her to be independent to stay strong not blindly follow anyone. I think Jalal and Hamida should start concentration of family especially children first elseee next generation will also be like this only. If you think carefully Salim was like Bakshi only easily led by spouse, friends, children same character. Its upbringing fault not individuals fault.
Akbar somewhere realized his mistake and hence was blind to Sharifuddin's rebellions i feel. That was till Bakshi herself decided enough and ordered him to take action like a king rather than a brother-in-law.
