Actually after watching today's episode I don't know what I am feeling or what should I feel! Its like even after having a meal your heart is not content and you feel something is amiss.
Problem is you all don't know about closure of a scene, track or scenario. Its left hanging in the air or is half baked or is incomplete. And we as viewers are unable to enjoy what we should have. There is always a dilemma in our minds and before it is solved or taken care of you all move ahead with the next track.
I didn't want to see an intimate scene nor am I asking for it but believe me when I say it the scene was a major let down. And before I write this I know many people of the forum will jump on me but I am neither Rajat nor a Paridhi fan, I am Jodha-Akbar character fan & I expect a certain dedication from the characters.
Look at Rajat's expressions in the sword scene, the 'farmaan' scene when Jodha went to ask for Moti's life, the 'aarti' scene...yesterday in the whole episode I didn't see even 1 % trace of that expressions in Rajat. l am not talking when he was caught in a dilemma or was simply worried but even before when he came to the tent and kept looking at her, then pulled the curtain down, when he was admiring her asleep I didn't see even a trace of desire, want, need or love there. It was very blank. He had a frown, he looked lost unable to decide what to think. I don't know maybe he wanted to show he was uncertain of his feelings but I wanted a voice-over back then to clarify his turmoil to us, viewers. He looked a little wooden there. It didn't give me the satisfaction I usually feel looking at him. And I am not even talking about any physical proximity here.
And Jodha is always spilling venom, its seldom she is shown to turn a soft expression at Jalal. Even a mere 'thank you' is said grudgingly...I am at a loss here. She is outright rude almost all the time. Being a commoner we are taught about manners and she was a princess and they had more etiquette and manners than we do and she didn't even know to say a simple 'thank you' from her heart genuinely!? If this can't be done then I don't even expect romantic expressions from her. Half the times she doesn't even respond or say anything to Jalal but after listening to his explanations she simply walks off like she did yesterday after that mind blowing conversation yesterday. I also feel Paridhi as an actor has to tone her expressions and harshness of her voice. Being proud and honorable is one thing but being wooden is another and she sometimes comes across unnecessarily rude and harsh.
CV's these should be your job to rectify and correct the actors. We as viewers should be able to connect to them and not be left confused. I don't care what their personal equation is off screen but on-screen they should be igniting fire. That is called acting and chemistry. More than the actors I blame you all CV's on this regard.
And about today's episode I knew we will not see anything because it is a family show, a historical one at that, shown at prime time and moreover may be the actors are not comfortable enough...whatever it is I knew nothing will be shown but I expected a better closure of this situation. I personally know Jalal will never break his promise and literally he just gave body heat, what was actually asked of him and for all you know even if he had to partially undress her he must have asked Moti to help him or he must have waited outside. I sincerely hope you clarify this later in a flashback. Let Moti tell Jodha or let even Jalal tell Jodha in anger when she will again go blasting him to no end regarding this. Maybe you have kept it unclear on purpose for some later circumstances and then Jodha might have renewed respect for him or am I hoping too much?? On this regard I want to see Jodha's heart trusting Jalal even if her mind tells her otherwise. I want some tussle in her mind where one part tells her about all the good things Jalal has done for her, how he kept all his promises so far and he will on this matter as well. CV's you have to show Jodha softening down a little or else how do you expect her love story to move forward?
You better show Jalal in a good light and not as someone who will break his word, if that is so then he will lose all my respect as well. And Jodha will never be able to look at him in a good light and will never be able to respect him. As it is she is always sour to him and if this is not cleared then that vinegar attitude will never cease from her end.
And this religion issue, for dramatic purpose I know you all have to show a lot of issues their relationship had to face at that time but my interest will be to see Jalal's stand on this. Will he give importance to his promise to her or to his Throne more? All along he has said clearly to every one and Jodha too that his position as Shahensha is very dear to him and whatever he does whether not trusting any one or winning over somebody or something or taking decisions on any matter is done keeping the throne in mind. Today when he is asked to step down from the throne as an emperor or ask his wife to convert to Islam what will he say or what will his stand be?
Jodha under pressure might oblige but will Jalal allow that? That will be interesting to watch provided you show us that CV's and not leave us in mid-air as always.
I can't say I am a happy satisfied soul. I felt something major was lacking today.
