Why on earth did Jalal send Shareefuddin and that too all alone for Sukanya's rishta.

I can understand Jalal sent him because he is also a part of the family.. but sending him all alone does not make sense to me.

I feel, he should have sent Atga Khan and Jiji anga. They are not only loyal but are elders of the family.. Hamida Bano would have loved to go... that's another story.😆

Its a family matter not a political one. I feel for such things, a female elder of the family should also be present regarding such matters. Does the prince of Durgapur does not have any mother or a step mother?

He was sent alone to add drama...😆 But yes marriage talks are usually held by ladies and by elders of the family...It is Jalal's mistake and atleast at present this mistake is making Amerians cry...Later it will be another story...

Yes Ddrama ofcourse.. But logically it doesn't make sense😆.. Fixing marriages is not an easy task and involves risk. Jalal in some way is to be blamed for the mess. He doesn't exactly trust Shareefuddin blindly. Even in the precap he told Hamida that he doesn't see why Shareef would lie.. not that he trusts him.

Not in the 16th century yaar...women (only older ladies) would have really taken decisions in marriage affairs and that would have been restricted to advice/suggestions. In presence of other men, women would rarely have been allowed to come forth and talk. All royal marriage alliances would have held some form of political significance so men would have been the primary decision makers. Even women in their own household would have had to stay behind the purdah/veil - so they could not have actively participated in marriage discussions anyway.

Besides, travelling from one city to another on horseback itself would have taken days if not weeks...ladies would have only been able to travel in palanquins...without even knowing if the rishta might take place or not, it makes little sense (time-wise and safety-wise) for ladies in a palace to be travelling weeks (through random cities/jungles etc) just to go to offer their suggestions on a decision not yet made.

Even if it was his own sister's wedding, I don't see how even the Emperor would have travelled - he'd have sent an important male aid with a royal 'seal' scroll to confirm his intentions...

Shareef seems an apt choice at this point. Not only does Shareef hold an important position in Jalal's administration/army, he's also now his brother-in-law and has known Jalal for long...

Maximum, they could have met the other ladies in the palace - which really there's no point in doing unless the marriage actually takes place.

Point taken..Shareef negotiating like that looked absurd to me. Furthermore, why didn't the king of Dawalgarh send a message to him in written? They are at fault as well.

Sending Shareefuddin just doesn't seem proper.

As of now, the makers haven't really shown any close aides to Jalal older than AK-SH apart from Atgah Khan...Atgah Khan seems too important a person to be sent for something like this...there'd have been loads of things to tend to at Agra -seeing how Jalal was injured.
I know this is JA serial so there's so much of emphasis on Sukanya's wedding...if not, I don't see how this could have been such a major issue of importance for Jalal at all...Shareef is more than enough 😆

However, I agree about the lack of sealed scroll about the fort issue- dramatic license...warna all this hota hi nahin...and we'd never get to hear 'Ham Shehenshah ke saath hai!'😛

Lashy, nice explanation...👏

My take-

Cheapuddin nai jata toh drama nai hota... drama nai hota to story aage nai badhti...story aage nai badhti toh TRP nai Aati...TRP nai Aati toh sponsors nai milte...sponsors nai milte toh show band ho jata...

Alakh, Tumhe toh yeh "chakra" pata hai...phir bhi "balike" yeh prashna...😳
