OMG I typed out a long post but the stupid Pad wiped it all out out! So the shorter version now 😡-
1.) Jalal standing, waiting for his wife, was the most adorable sight I've seen in long. The casual-ness & humility in that small scene was touching. MaaSaa is most impressed with her javaiSaa & you could see the younger women mentally beseeching Kaanhaa jee to give them husbands like Jalal 😆. Even if Jalal's lavish praises & open admiration for his Begum's lovely green-wearing abilities, she still makes a bit of a sour-face. Me thinks it's only because she's very jealous that her pati is getting all the attention & admiration & love from her family, extended & personal, and all Amer-lings. 😆
2.) I really liked the Hawaai-handling scene though what spoilt it were the graphics! Why can't they spend much on the costumes & graphics?! What's the point of making a historical if they wish to show Such shoddy work? 😡. Yes even the costumes. Which are one of the highlights of a historical. Apart from the language, which is excellent on the show & in particular, One can see the dedication actors like Rajat, Ashwini & Jodha have towards their shudh Hindi & Urdu dialogues; the costumes play a highly important role in the physicality of historical characters! Seeing them in the same old costumes or mis-matched ones, is like having a fine red wine in a palace.. But in a steel glass. Jarring, out of place. Irritating. A small detail, but which contributes heavily towards the ambience of the show. And I am a firm believer of ,"God lies in the details." 😳
3.) Jodha's instinctive action of clutching her phaasi ka haar, in total fear on seeing Jalal trying to control a mad Hawaii. Despite herself, she has begun to care about Jalal the man, not the Shahenshaah-E-Hind. 😊
4.) Why was Maharana Pratap giving a bhaashan to the other halwai looking Raajvanshis? It was quite tacky. It would've been improbable, but I would've loved to see him helping Jalal , but this way was better too. Jalal would've known Hawaii the best , like he knew immediately that he had been played cruelly with. He didn't need MP's help in that. But it irritated me to see Mp standing on the side-lines looking almost pleased that Jalal was in trouble.🥱 They should be very careful with the way they portray Maharana Pratap, more so the actor. This show has been in enough controversies. And it doesn't suit the character to smirk on seeing Jalal's perplexity. 😕
I also didn't like the way he reluctantly acknowledged Jalal's bravery & education by honoured teachers. The true measure of a man's secure nature is when he readily, and openly, acknowledges the Other's success.
It would've been much better if he would've stated it. Openly. With maybe a hint of a smile, if I am not pushing my luck.
5.) A human being's Action can be conditioned. But never his Reaction 😊. And they reveal much more about a person, than his 5 actions put together.
If Jodha requires any more convincing than already present, that her erstwhile pati is a Genuine Keeper, she only needs to remember the expression of blind panic & fear on Jalal's face when he saw his beloved Hawaii thrashing about & his command to his soldiers to back off & not touch Jalal. Not for their safety, but his Hawaii's. 😊
Realise this, Jodha. 😊
