Please let me know the protocols and I will do volunteering service for Balaji to teach your so called creatives how to begin, edit, continue, highlight and finally end a scene!
I have no experience in the showbiz industry but nevertheless I know how to handle and what to show when a lead pair is on in the same frame. Without so much as touching, or hugging or singing around trees I can show romance between the lead pair.
The creatives you have gone out of your wits showing endless meaningless fights and that is why you have forgotten when you have to tone down your lead characters and bring love in the air.
The boat ride was utterly dry with Jodha's curt replies followed by the attack and again no carrying the scene forward or any recapitulation later on from either side.
And golden opportunity missed of Jodha and Jalal on the same bed in the same room!! I am confused as to guess did she spend the night on the bed or not. Niharna, takna, toh dur ki baat, simple sleeping together on north and south pole of the bed was also missed.
Creatives if you want to know about romance go and read Pride and prejudice 5 times at least, read some Shakesperean plays and you will know what romance is. Even go and watch Satyajit Ray and you will know without even touching how romance is expressed, shown or felt. The tent scene left me all high and dry, no editing, no conclusion...cut abruptly midway.
Even simple things you could have highlighted upon, Jalal noticing Jodha upset on her mom and his simply stating how precious moms are insinuating Jodha that her anger is baseless or to let go and patch up with her mom was missed. Maybe you have forgotten that you have shown Jalal with a heart when he opened up to Maham and compared himself to Jodha saying how similar they both were, maybe you forgot the aarti scene where both felt the other's presence to the core, their underlying attraction, the undercurrent and vibes they share when they come face to face...CV's you must be suffering from temporary amnesia and that is why you are cutting their scenes abruptly without properly finishing and editing them.
I am utterly and thoroughly disappointed. And am disappointed in your selection of Rana Pratap as well. I know this is Jalal's story and you have to make him look superior, strong, smart and intelligent but you could have chosen a better person to play that character of Pratap. Sorry to say this actor looks sleepy to me and I can't relate the rajputani strength, power, glow, glory, pride and bravery in him. Nothing personal to the actor playing the part but somehow he is not befitting Rana Pratap's character.
Tomorrow I want to see the pleasure of Jalal in sharing Jodha's room and her reluctance in doing so and yet every step of the way the unsaid attraction, the unseen force binding them together, the unfelt romance that is lying within, the unheard heartbeats that will play drum roll in each other's ears, the under lying chemistry that will pull them to each other, unparallel nok-jhoks, unbeaten care for each other...all being portrayed clearly and yet subtly which will override the screen and will overflow in my living room giving me goosebumps witnessing it.
I know CV's you can do this, just pull up your socks! This is a Love Story and we are craving for healthy romance between Jodha and Jalal.
