Sukanya's wedding preparations are in full swing.Bhaarmal,Menavati and daadisaa are discussing about the invitations.Daadisaa reminds him to invite Maharana Pratap.Bhaarmal refuses and says there was no point in inviting him.He had shown a cold shoulder to them ever since Jodha's wedding to Jalal.Daadisaa persists and says that inviting all their relatives was their duty,their decision of attending the wedding or not is secondary.Menavati seconds that thought.In the end Bhaarmal had to budge.
Meanwhile,the narrator describes how the Jodha-Jalal wedding had strained Amer's relations with the other Rajvanshi dynasties.As the men didn't seem to have any intention of sorting things out,the women had taken things into their own hands,taking an oath to set things right.Keeping in mind all of this,Daadisaa sends a message to Mewar's women folk,speaking of how it was important to sort things out.
Meanwhile,the wedding invitation reaches Pratap and everyone awaits his decision(to attend the wedding or not) in the darbar.Pratap says that it would hurt his ego to step into a deshdrohi's kingdom.But as a Rajvanshi,it was his duty to respect his sisters and he would have to attend the wedding for the same.
To find a solution to his dilemma,Pratap seeks advice from his guru.The guru explains how important it was for him,a Rajvanshi to do his duty.To attend the wedding.He advices him to accept the invitation.
Pratap is a bit taken aback and he asks his guru,how could he say that?The guru gives reasoning,stating his greatest enemy Jalaluddin Mohammad was going to be there. Pratap should g,if he had the strength within him,to look at his enemy eye to eye. Pratap snorts stating he didn't even want to steal a glimpse at Jalal.The guru repeats the same,stating it was necessary for him to be aware of his enemy.To check if his own sword was sharp enough to slit Jalal's throat.
Cut to,Agra.A spy informs Jalal that Pratap is going to part of the wedding celebrations. Jalal is delighted now that he gets to see his enemy face-to-face.He orders his servants to prepare for their departure.He didn't want to waste any more time and would want to see his enemy right away.
Meanwhile,Pratap announces that he would be going to Amer.J alal on the other hand is all set to show Pratap his place.
Hamida,Gulbadan and others are taking care of all the gifts being sent to Amer,on the occasion of the wedding.Just then,Jodha enters and she is overwhelmed after seeing all the riches.She sheds tears of joy.Hamida tells her,that she was not just her daughter-in-law,instead she was her daughter.So she was just doing what she would have done for any other of her daughters.Jodha is very pleased.She says that she was indebted by the love and care they have showered on her.
Finally,the whole of the Agra crew leaves for Amer.Meanwhile,Bhagwan Das and Bhaarmal had taken care of all the security necessities,along with the grand welcoming ceremony.Bhaarmal repeatedly stresses on the fact that Jalal should be given full protection in Amer.He orders BhagwanDas to make Amer,an Armour.
Jalal's enemies were planning and plotting.They didn't want to let this opportunity to go to waste.They left no stone unturned.As other Rajvanshis looked at this situation as an easy win,since they were under the impression,that Jalal was coming to attend the wedding,he wouldn't arrive with a big army(They were wrong about this)
Pratap mocks them stating,it does seem like an easy win,but not for heroes,but for cowards.There would be women folk arriving for the wedding too and it was illogical to make the wedding mantap,a battlefield.Rajvanshis are not cowards to attack this way.They are bold,righteous warriors.He would definitely lift his sword at Jalal,but not here,instead in the battlefield.
The Mughals make camp for the night.Javeeda is worried about being eaten up by the wild animals.She sights Maham somewhere closeby and she asks her to stay with her in her tent,because she was afraid to stay alone.Maham mocks her stating that if she stayed with her,who would protect Maham form her?Their usual gibberish talk continues,in the end Maham somehow escapes.
And then the actual episode starts. š„± (so much for a filler episode i tell you)
Jodha enquires about the whereabouts of her tent with a maid.The maid points towards one particular tent.Jodha senses that it was Jalal's tent and not hers.Just then Jalal comes out of the same tent.Jodha says "Dekha,maina sahi kaha tha na" . The maid teases he,saying,these days she had become very much aware about Jalal and things surrounding him. š³ Jodha retorts saying there was no need for her to use so much of her head.She got to know it was Jalal's tent,because there were many soldiers around it.So it was obvious.
Meanwhile,Jalal's eyes falls on Jodha.Unintentionally,he is found smiling to himself as he watches her.He looks at the moon and it felt as though,he was comparing the beauty of the nightsky with Jodha's beauty.Nothing seemed to be beyond Jodha.
Adka saahab and some ministers interrupt the emperor's secret rendezvous with his empress and her beauty.He informs him that,since they knew Jalal was very fond of adventure,they had taken care of a boat in a nearby lake.
Jalal is pleased and he says that it would be a whole new level of pleasure to enjoy the nightsky that night.He says this,not losing sight of Jodha,even for a bit.Adka saahab suggests that he shouldn't go alone,since they were in the enemy area and also,Jalal had not fully recovered as yet.He should take a small crew of soldiers with him.
Hamida arrives and enquires about where they were planning to go. The ministers inform her.Just then,Jodha's maid gets very excited and says that even Jodha loved boatrides. Hamida then says that Jalal need not go alone. Jodha was there over there afterall.
Jodha is a bit taken aback.Jalal on the other hand,who seemed stunned(just for a microsecond),looked at Jodha,with a hint of hope,that she agrees to Hamida's proposal.Sensing Jodha's stares,he quickly says that he had the same thing in mind.Jodha's maid seemed more excited than Jodha,she says she would also go with them.Hamida gives her a stern look and says no to the maid.
Everybody dispatches,as Jalal looks at Jodha with delight.Since Jodha still seemed skeptical,Jalal says"aayiye" š *ishhh his expressions āŗļø Kill me someone*
Now imagine a beautiful nightsky and under that are two love birds,plus some very romantic background scores.Bliss,no?
Jalal and Jodha are walking towards the lake with a small soldier crew.Jodha murmurs to herself about Jalal's weird ways of spending his leisure time. It was so dark and the guy wanted to go on a boatride. Jalal obviously hears her and asks, "kuch kahaa aapne Jodha begum?" š
Jodha retorts by saying,how does it matter what she says?Nothing matters,when his stubborn-ness comes into the picture š
As the reach the boat,Jalal,being the gentlemen he is ,offers his hand as support,so that she could get into the boat safely. š³ Jodha becomes all fidgety and Jalal obviously senses her being uncomfortable. He says,that there was no need of her to be afraid,he wasn't going to let her fall.She wouldn't be able to get into the boat 'safely' otherwise.She would slip. SO finally,she lays her hand on his,very gently.
But somehow,seemed like fate had something else in mind,she does lose her step,but her shauhar,who had excellent responses to stimuli,quickly supports her and doesn't let her fall. She too grips his arm very tightly. He couldn't help but giggle at the situation.
It was just Jodha,Jalal and the nature doing their magic now (lets just ignore the boatrider for now š„±) Jodha is admiring the water,as Jalal admires her. Ah!that look on his face Jodha notices this after sometime and gives him a grim look. He takes the initiative of making a conversation.
He says,that her maid had said something about Jodha likes going on boatrides.Jodha retorts by saying that if or not the boatride was meant for fun or for punishment depended on the person she was with.
Jalal who had been smiling all the while,frowns now and says that it is useless debating with her.Jodha says that this was the thing about him.he doesn't know to talk,he only knows to debate.
the boatride progresses and this is when Jodha notices Jalal's hand bleeding.She bends down looking for something,but loses her balance.Jalal gets hold of her on time,he then says her to be careful.If something happened to her,people would say this was his plan to kill her and then he laughs.
As he losens his grip,Jodha tightens her grip on his hand. Jalal is amazed at her actions. She tells him to not move. It was then that he notices his hand bleeding. Jodha cups her hand and gets some water off the lake and tends to Jalal's bleeding palm.As she repeats the process,Jalal simply tries to annoy her by telling her to nurse his hand gently.She gets angry and gets up to leave,telling him to do his work on his own,if he didn't like her doing it.She loses her balance again as she stands and our hero catches her again.
He tells her to be careful again.As she sits down,he stands up to set her ghoonghat right š³ He teases her by saying that,if her ghoonghat was messed up the people would wonder if he had doen soem "sharaarat" with her šš
As the boatride nears his end,Jalal notices some movement behind the bushes.All of a sudden arrows fly and the boatrider is dead.Soon enough,Jalal braces Jodha into his arms and tells her to bend,to protect herself.
As more arrows come their way,Jalal comforts her by telling her not to worry,he was there with her.
