According to Wikipedia Mariam uz zamani was the name of Jahangir's mother. She was called so after she converted to Islam. Now what I want to know is, is Mariam uz zamani a title? For the person who gives the emperor his heir? Or is it Jodha's name? If it is the latter, why did we see Ruqaiyya mention it? Because so far the historical incidents have kind of been accurate. I would be very grateful if someone could clear this up for me. Please.

Yes, it is a title- given to Jodha/Hira, which literally translates into "Mary of the Age."

these were titles given to the future emperor's mothers(eldest sons mother)
Like Hamida was called Mariam Makhani
Jodha was called Mariam uz zamani. Her name was Hira Kunwari but she had many names as given below
Mariam uz-Zamani Begum Sahiba (Rauza Mariam, Sikandara), ne Rajkumari Hira Kunwari Sahiba, alias Harkha Bai, eldest daughter of Raja Bihari Mal, Raja of Amber.
But in future years eldest son was not the emperor always like shah jahan was 3rd son of Jehangir so not sure what his mother was called because she died before he became an emperor

Yeah its just a title given to mother of the hire and future emperor, so rqu wanted to get that title which has a lot powers after the emperor its the highest position, but for jodha along with title it became a name too after salim's birth.
