So they brought in a typical vamp , ala Lavina Tandon! Who was cruelly arrogant, way too selfish & didn't really love Jalal but was overwhelmingly possessive of him.

That would make the audience by default want him to be with Jodha & it wouldn't look bad.

But I think she did an excellent job as Ruqaiyya Begum.
