He was not just fond of ruku, but salima as well.. he love and respected his mother but complained she always supported her husband.

Summing up all the infos about salim only I can say that he was a fickle minded person. he never contemplated on his decisions and always regretted for that after..😕

There were too may women in his life😆

The book I have quoted also talks about how he was fond of one of his nurse.. mother like figure and didn't eat for days after her death

That must be salim chisti's daughter who was his wet nurse. He loved his foster brother very much Qutub uddin koka who was governor(Nawab) of bengal. He mention about them in jehangirnama. Like Akbar he respected his foster elder brother much and mention he felt lonely after his death(even after marrying nur jahan and having khurram with him).

Akbar felt all of his and his mother's lad pyar had spoiled salim and he remained child like all life wanting love,a ttention and care from every relation he had and when he never get that he would sulk and get angry. Same with jodha and akbar he want all their attention may be and when they cannot give because of work he think they do not love him and fight with them.

And he was definetly romantic and fell in love twice-thrice and when Akbar refused to permit him to get married to those girls he would sulk again for years 😆

but in those times marriage was not based on love for a girl it was based on what benefit(political, economical, status etc) and rules for marriage were very strict in same status etc. Another thing is that some girls(like nur jahan) loved him because he was crown prince salim not because he was salim and Akbar-Jodha definetly recognised that buttt Salim could not as he was innocent to worldly ways not street smart like his parents(going by his life we can easily make that out). But a teenager and youth Prince Salim took that as offence to obhections from his parents and that surely strained relations.

Yes you're right.. it was qutub uddin koka's mother.
