And there HB was still harping on about her Ja-Jo to Gulbadan Begum 'Today the sourness in their relationship will blossom tomorrow to such an extent that people shall sing praises of it!'

[Poor Gulbadan, she didn't look like she was having much idea about the hows and whys HB's puzzling obsession over Ja-Jo!]๐Ÿ˜†

Thankfully, all the courtiers in Agra were not as ridiculous as Adham ๐Ÿ˜†and realized the risks involved in plotting an assassination attempt at such an untimely juncture!

However, it seems like the women in the harem are meant to be portrayed more as bimbos and less as ladies. No wonder Jalal is not interested in any of them! ๐Ÿ˜†

'No Begum can steal my badshah from me because I rule his mind...' [I slap my forehead and shut my ears]๐Ÿ˜†
Alerted, the Emperor shouts out to his guards and makes his way out. Needless to say, the less-than-capable plumpy assassin is caught and surrounded within the blink of an eye!๐Ÿคฃ

Awww they were more my frustrations pouring out than a shot at intending for it to be funny...but, I'm glad I was able to make you giggle dear...๐Ÿ˜†
Well..I guess frustration can sometimes bring out the best in a person too๐Ÿ˜†
Thank you for your lovely comments..they really brought a smile to my face!๐Ÿค—

Finally caught up on the episode and then re-read your analysis. Loved it!

To me, Jodha was utter disappointment today.
I cannot believe she discusses her sleeping arrangement with others. Whatever relationship she shares with her husband needn't be advertised. She almost seemed obsessed about it .
As much as Jodha's behavior was intolerable, Jalal ... my my what do I say.
Man he has patience to deal with her! That itself is a big plus considering how unnerving she was.
Anycase it seems like Jodha is fighting a losing battle. I hope the Mohini incident helps her reflect on her behavior and correct it.

Her sleeping arrangements being discussed with her maids was odd by today's standards...but, a point to note is that queens did confide in their close maids - EVERYTHING...including various nuances of their conjugal relationship with the king!
If you read some of the more romantic scripts ...say even works of Kalidasa etc...its quite often shown that queens/heroines shared (pretty explicit by today's standards) everything with their close friends/maids since they would have been together for most of their lives...why share...it was these very friends who would have bathed them/dressed them on a daily basis and done everything else a personal a queen wouldn't have done...that's why queens took along their own maids/friends from their own kingdom after marriage...
I guess we wouldn't have felt it odd if it was Mothi...since it was an unknown face...I guess it felt more odd!
But, the assassin part did get to me! Really hoping for a transformation soon enough...๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Excellent riposte Jalal; keep them coming.

'Has he really come here only for the sake of my protection? Look at him...he sleeps peacefully after disturbing my peace so...'

Yes, Jodha, look at him. You want to get closer don't you? ๐Ÿ˜† That's why your peace is disturbed

Loved the two retorts by him...would have liked to continue see him angry after Jodha's retort during the assassin encounter and him going on to have done what was the standard rules of any kingdom...i.e. punish the assassin!
I don't want a too-mellowed down Jalal...level-headed, but not mellowed!๐Ÿ˜Š
Thanks for your comments yaar...๐Ÿ˜ณ

hi lashy, wonderful post as usual! the episode seemed to be bit rushed today, seemed like te whole team was in a hurry to go somewhere, maybe the press conference๐Ÿ˜ก..and rajat looked stressed out although he was trying hard to give good expressions, but for some reason he was not into the scenes fully, something was missing, maybe that is why he avoids all the media stuff because it distracts him to the extent that it affects his performance..i missed the gusse wala akbar and hated jodha in every scene, same old boring tanna wala dialogues!

I so so so miss Jalal's temperament too...however, I liked it when he gave it back to her the few instances he did...he's one of a kind! Loved him...
thanks mandy ๐Ÿค—

HI, More than, Jodha, jalal or even the mohini, I loved this title. So opt for Jodha's stuborn mindset.

Awww thank you dear๐Ÿ˜ณ (I hope you meant the title of my post ๐Ÿ˜• lol)

It is like read only format (not a rewritable rom), Once programmed, you can't change the command. She has programmed her system to blame Jalal for each and everything. And we are here to hear those torturous dialogues. Someone should present her paper and pencil not a permanant ink pen to write on her heart.
Awww very sweet allegories you've used!๐Ÿ˜ƒ

One thing is clear after watching the assassin scene, that is about the removed bullets from the gun. Our beloved Jodha Begum removed those bullets to ensure that Jalal doesn't kill anyone during the piligrimage as they are on holy trip and not to play holi with human blood. Just can't imagine a princess doing this (disarming the armour) during the trip via jungle. What did she think, that wild animals will come and say Good morning Jodha Begum, we love your peace pact and have a safe journey (with utmost safety from Jalal, the wild person) through the jungle?
Those things might make her seem kind, but it doesn't befit her status...even in JA movie Aish is shown to not like killing/hunting...but, it was done more tastefully there..here, she's more rebellious about it all...she can't keep overriding the Shehenshah!
I just hope she also shows some normal human emotions (like fear & shock) on seeing teh snake and concern for Jalal as he is holding it. Yaar even now, I am getting goosebumps just by remembering the size of that snake and he was actually holding it.
Lol it was only a rubber snake dear...though the hissing did make it look natural๐Ÿ˜†
Coming to precap, it is not that he doesn't acrry money it is that the notion with which the donation is made. The jewells of a queen are valued in a totally different scale than the regular jewelles. There are 'n' of cases in history where in we have read about the queens donating the jewells to the welfare of the common people (to build a lake or to construct a temple, renovate some village) etc. It is not that the king was not able to bear that cost but to show the genorosity of the queen. May be here also, Jodha might be ready to donate her jewells to the fakir and Shehenshah would have stopped it and given his turbain instead it carries the same or more value tha the queens jewells. May be he would have thought it is unauspicious for his begum (married woman) to remove her jewells
Awww thanks for enlightening me dear... I read a few other replies on the topic and am now convinced that there must at least be some folklore of Jalal having done so during one of his Ajmer Sharif trips...๐Ÿ˜ณ

Awww I read quite a few members reinstate it...so I'll give it a folklorish-benefit-of-doubt!๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Lovely post Lashy. ๐Ÿ‘ Your posts are infinitely more lovely than the show itself. ๐Ÿ˜† Jodha is getting on my nerves, to be honest. And they need to redeem the girl. She is a brand new kind of annoying. I guess, as Mansi said, this is the final burst of rebellion before the said "epic romance". But Jalal was the star. Every episode revolves around him and his unpredictable reactions. โญ๏ธ
Jalal is the star now...your last sentence made so so so so much sense!๐Ÿ˜ƒ
