A very nice take on a very nice episode. I do not quite agree with your take on the exchanges in the garden, for it is not just quibbling and teasing from his side - he really does not want her going to Ajmer with him, probably thinking that she will give him baddua there instead of dua. I felt that the lines had a sharper edge to them on both sides.

Only one small correction re: your He resigns from the event by saying he cannot face his mother on this and she too declares she cannot tackle Hamida either.

What he really says is Kahin aapko yeh to nahin lagta hai ki hum apni Ammijaan ka saamna nahin kar sakte? which is the opposite of saying that he cannot face her on this matter, and is in line with what he offers to do when discussing this earlier with Ruqaiya.

It is Jodha who responds to that with Humein aapke bar mein to nahin jaante, par hum Ammijaan ko mana nahin kar sakte.

As for the precap, Jodha was ridiculous. She seems to think he is acting fresh with her - and he is her lawfully wedded husband! - and it never occurs to her that if he was so inclined, he could have forced himself on her any day and every day. Any kind of judge of character she most assuredly is not.

One wonders, by the way, if Jalal understands what ashobaniya aacharan means. But I suppose that even if he does not, he can get the general drift of things from the way she reacts. I wish the snake had slithered up her pillow instead, would have been a good lesson for her to have to yell for help to the unwanted husband.

Shyamala

Oh OK, stand corrected. (My Hindi - much less my Urdu - is frightfully weak!)

yes. lovely episode yest. it was good to see finally Jalal thinking with his OWN BRAINS. will love to see the day he will believe he has a heart too and it beats for someone. now it ll be more to expect that even if he understands her loneliness, he will calm down a bit towards her. no being two halfs of the same coin, they will be getting back at eachother till the time they understand one is incomplete without another. then when they will unite to complete eachother. a long wait for that.

felt good when Jodha agreed to accompany Jalal to ajmer without much fuss. at least this quality of her that she respects her elders and is ready to obey them without any question, Jalal should understand it.

even yest i said , there is one saying " let the sleeping dog lie. if u irritate it, it will bite u back". i m not comparing Jodha with a dog or anybody else. but she has agreed to go with him and pray, what was the need to provoke her. but Jalal did exactly that. fine u don't want to go with her, but then tell it urself to ur mother. why u want her to take blame for ur wish? and forget it. u know Ruku wants to go with u and u enjoy her company. so take both Ruku and Jodha . Pir baba hasn't said, two begums can't go , he has just said the blessed begum should go , it means he can take another also with him. so take Ruku, enjoy with her and leave Jodha on her own. u both will be in peace.

but no. he went to her, he provoked her and when she retorted back he is taking it at taunts. ye nainsaafi hai, Jalal...

now let's see if this drama continues today like Jodha ka fisalna, precap, or the Ajmer tour starts right from scene one today.

The easternmost room with the first sun rays of the day

The episode swung back to prophecies and the strange twists of "destiny" when it was found that the three begums all had different destinies and they could not change their destinies no matter how much they or anyone else tried.

Maham tried to get Salima to change her destiny by engineering to be the one to get the first sun rays of the day and thus go to Ajmer instead of Jodha or Ruqaiya. (I was surprised that Maham had herself disqualified Ruq, although I expected she would disqualify Jodha). But Salima would not accept that destiny had chosen her, and she instead proposed Jodha for the Ajmer trip honour. Salima's beauty in this story is her ability to be the destiny-facilitator, it seems!

Yes...the CVs had shown the contrast between the three begums very very well...😃...

How fortuitous! And how gullible the Creatives must believe we audiences are if we are to be given this kind of fare to swallow. Anyway, as we all always say to ourselves, maybe in those times all this was normal. All's well that ends well, so let's go on this trip with Jalal and Jodha. We have a tiger and a snake to overcome!
But many many such co-incidences do happen in our daily lives too...its just that we don't delve upon them..😳

Where this nok-jhok matters to us viewers is that some measure of civilised conversation has taken place where neither of them went too far in antagonising the other, the barbs were sharp but not hurting, and the end result was a mutual resignation to Hamida's will. At the moment folks, this is the best level of friendship we can expect from them, and so long as they are not snarling, we're progressing ...

I loved the nok jhok between them..very balanced...civil and suiting their status...he had a half-smile through all of it...

A word about the precap:

I didn't expect Mohini the snake so soon into the Ajmer trip. I like the way Jalal catches a snake, by the way, by tearing the purdah and stripping the whole bedsheet off her. He doesn't do anything by halves!

It wasn't bedsheet it was her veil..and the ferocity with which he did it to an unexpected sleeping Jodha was bound to provoke that reaction from her...it would have shocked any girl - even one in a cordial relationship with her husband...😆 after all, they both are alone and she could think the desperate Shehenshah had no other Begum to satisfy him that night (unlike in the palace!)...

anyway, since it's all for the better I have no complaints at all..

I don't want this light-hearted tu tu main main to end between them..loving it...attraction laced with bucketfuls of egoism!

I'm sorry if I confused her dupatta for a bedsheet. Waise most of her clothes look like bedsheets to me! Wish they would choose better sarees for her!😆😆😆

Mansi awesome take as usual 👏👏

Finally I see Jalal beginning to connect his destiny with Jodha and starting to find similarities 😳 .. I always knew this was coming since we did discuss how both r similar in many ways but yesterday we saw even the character of Jalal starting to believe the same that he and Jodha r similar in many ways especially when it comes to loneliness despite hving a family ..

Finally Jalal could connect with Jodha's pain since he went through similar pain in his childhood when his own family backstabbed him and they had nowhere to go and then Hamida was given shelter by a Hindu rajput king .. Similarly today Jodha's own family disowned her for her own good and she too feels she has nowhere to go reason why she chooses death when Jalal saves her gives her the shelter in that spl room where sun's rays falls first every morning thus Jalal indirecting giving a msg to Jodha that its a new morning for u , wake up and accept this new destiny of yours which is me from now on 😳 .. The same thing he tells Maham too in his own words that he is Jodha's husband and so she is his responsibility from today onwards 😳... Till now Jodha was only a part of Amer's victory for him but yesterday for the first time he actually admits that Jodha is Mughal empire's begum and his wife 👏👏😳 ...

Now it remains to b seen when and how Jodha too accepts the same like Jalal 😳.. Mayb this Ajmer trip and tiger attack will change Jodha's views for Jalal too and she will accept her destiny ... After that as per all articles , the epic love track starts 😳

In all this I somehow felt Ruqaiyya though jealous and insecure but she respects Jalal's wishes and orders .. so I m not sure if she will turn totally negative once Jodha-Jalal love track starts 🤔...Maham for sure will go insane 😆😆

Yes we both have discussed this from Day One saying how similar their backgrounds are actually, but it was lovely that he got the realisation! Even if she realised this it would not have been as good as him realising it!

Finally Jalal could connect with Jodha's pain since he went through similar pain in his childhood when his own family backstabbed him and they had nowhere to go and then Hamida was given shelter by a Hindu rajput king .. Oh god, as usual I never saw the "symbolism"! Seriously, how do I miss these, and how do you and Khush get it every time!???

Yes, absolutely, he has indeed changed his reasons for her being in Agra from "punishment for her guroor" to "begum ka darjah"!

Now it remains to b seen when and how Jodha too accepts the same like Jalal 😳.. Mayb this Ajmer trip and tiger attack will change Jodha's views for Jalal too and she will accept her destiny ... After that as per all articles , the epic love track starts 😳
Jyoti, hope it is really epic, because we have spent last few months waiting for this epicness!
