Recap : Everyone left their room. Ruqaiya felt so ignored. But she also left.

Jodha had lowered her eyes. Jalal looked at Jodha and moved towards her.

Part 23 :

Jodha : Shahenshah! Humein maaf kar dijiye..Aapki yeh halat humare karan hi huyi hai..Ruqaiya Begum ne kuch galat nahi kahaa..
Hum humesha aapke dukh ka karan bante hain...Aur aaj to humne vo gunah kiya hai jise aap kabhi maaf nahi karenge,, Humne aapki Badi Ammi par haath uthaya hai..
Aap jo saza dena chahein, Humein manzoor hai..and she looked down(still crying).

Jalal was still coming towards her. He could not believe that someone could be so pure souled,Why didn't she reveal Maham Anga,
Why did she seek forgiveness when she had not done any crime?But obviously he knew the answer also. He knew, Jodha didnt have courage to tell him anything as he had treated her and her family so harshly before on wrong allegations. He was ashamed on himself.

Jalal came near her and held her chin upwards so that she can look in his eyes.

He wiped the tears of Jodha and said (Softly) : Bas Kijiye Jodha Begum!! Humein aur kitna Sharminda karengi..

As he said this, Jodha was startled. She looked at him with puzzled eyes.

Jalal continued : Hum behad sharminda hain Jodha!! Lekin, isse pehle ke hum aapko sab batayein, Hum chahte hain ki aap humein sab kuch batayein.

Jodha asked (puzzled) : Kaisi baatein SHahenshah? Hum aapko kya batayein? Ye sab aap kya keh rahe hain..

Jalal(softly) : Bas Jodha!! Ab aap khud ko kusurwaar maanna band kijiye aur humein sab kuch sach sach bataiye..Humne aapki aur Maham Anga(no more calling her Badi-Ammi)
ki saari baatein sun li thi..Hum ye bhi jaante hain ke aapne unpar haath kyon uthaya..Ab aap humein sab kuch vistaar se bataiye..

Jodha was utterly shocked to hear this. She could not believe that Jalal now knew eveything.

Jodha pretended (smiling fakely) : Nahin Shahenshah!! Kaisi baatein?? Humare aur Maham Anga ke beech koi baat nahi hui..Humne kaha na humse gunaah hua hai...Aap
humein jo saza denge.. humein manzoor hogi..(she looked away from him)

Jalal jerked her tightly and said(in little angry tone) : Bas bahut hua jodha Begum!! HUmari Purani Jodha kahan hain..Jo kisi ka khauf nahi khati thi..
Jo unhe sahi lagta tha wahi karti thi..Aap to pehle se hi humesha humein sach ka raasta dikhana chahti thi na.. Aap to saza se bhi nahi darti na..To ab aap sachai kyon chipa rahi
hain??? BATAIYE ... (almost shouting)

Jodha could not control herself and fell on Jalal's feet and said(crying and loud tone) : Kyonki Ab hum vo Jodha nahi hain Shahenshah!! Vo Jodha aapse nafrat karti thi,,Baat Baat mein aapko hi galat samjhti thi..
lekin Ye Jodha..Ye Jodha Aapse nafrat nahi karti...Jab se aapne Us Jodha ko aur uske parivaar ko galat ilzaam ke karan itna dukh pahuchaya hai..Jab se unke abhimaan ko chot pahuchai hai..Tab se Is Jodha ke andar dar hai..
Dar saza ka nahi hai,,Dar is baat ka hai ki kahin phir se humare karan humare parivaar ko badnaami na jhelni pade..Par aapko badalta dekhkar Ye Jodha aapko maaf kar chuki hai..Lekin phir bhi,,bina kisi sabut ke aapke saamne koi tark rakhne mein Is Jodha ko
hazaar baar sochna padta hai.. Ab samjhe aap..Ki kyon hum kuch nahi kehna chahte,,,Kyonki humare paas koi saboot nahi hai (She had broke down completely while crying)

Jalal was also crying all the while. Jodha had said everything true.

He held her shoulders, lifted her up and hugged her so tight and so close, as if He wanted to ask for forgiveness.

Jodha melted down in his arms and said further : Ye Jodha aapko dukh nahi pahuchana chahti...Isse fikr hai ki kahin koi aapko kuch kar na de..

Jalal : Shh!! Chup ho jaiye Jodha!! Bas aur mat roiye.. Hum behad Sharminda hain,,Hum bahut daava karte haina ke hum aapse mohabbat karte hain,,lekin sach to ye hai
ke humne aap par kabhi Vishwaas hi nahi kiya... Sach to ye hai ke hum aapki dosti ya aapki mohabbat ke layak hi nahi hain..Jab aapko humari sabse jyada zaarurat thi,,
tab humne na hi aap par vishwaas kiya aur na hi aapke parivaar ka sammaan kiya..Hum khud ki nazaron mein gir chuke hain Jodha!

Jodha broke the hug ,looked in his eyes and said : Nahin Shahenshah!! Aisi koi baat nahi hai.. aap aisa mat sochiye..Hum aapko sab kuch batana chahte hain lekin humare paas
koi saboot nahi hai.. Kya aap phir bhi hum par Vishwaas kar sakenge??

Jalal said firmly: Haan Jodha Begum!! Aap humein bataiye to sahi..his eyes gleamed with hope.

Jodha : Shahenshah! Pata nahi ke aap ye sab sun payenge ya nahi..lekin humein phir bhi Maut ka khauf nahi hai,,,Chahe to humein saza de dijiyega lekin humare
parivar ko kuch mat kijiyega...

Only after hearing these words from Jodha, had Jalal realised that how deeply he had hurt Jodha. How deep impact his harshness had on Jodha..
He didnt say anything..

Jodha : Shahenshah! Maham Anga ne humein khud bataya tha ke unhone hi aapke aur Ruqaiya Begum ke hone wale bachche ( her voice glitched when she named her, and Jalal understood it)
ka katl kiya tha..lekin unhone humein kaha tha ke aap un par kabhi shaq nahi karenge..ulta humein hi saza denge...Phir, jab humne aapke liye bhojan banaya tha,
usme mirchi bhi unhone hi milai thi..Jis din aapne Adham Khan ko Saza di thi,,us din humne khud apne kaano se suna tha ki vo hum dono ke beech dooriyan paida karna chahti hain..
Unhone pran liya tha ke vo humein aapse Saza-e-maut dil vayengi.. Aur Jab vo humare kaksh mein aayi thi..tab vo maafi mangne ka dhong kar rahi thi..Par aap khush the isiliye Hum chup the..
Humein Yakeen nahi hota ke vo ye sab kar sakti hain..Lekin YAHI SATYA HAI!!!

Jalal was all in tears.

He said : Pehle Adham aur ab Maham Anga,, Kyun humare apne hi humesha humse gaddari karte hain..Kyon humesha humari Shamsheer ke neeche aa jate hain..

His eyes burned with anger.

Jalal : Begum Jodha!! Hum aapse tahe dil se muafi mangna chahte hain..Hum aapko vachan dete hain ke aaj ke baad aapko kabhi koi dukh
nahi pahuchayenge... Aur aap jo humse kahengi..Vahi humare liye Satya hoga..

Jodha smiled hearing this and hugged him back.

Jodha : Shahenshah!! Humein aapse koi shikwa nahi hai!! Hum aapko kabse maaf kar chuke hain... Hum bhi aapko kabhi chot nahi pahuchayenge aur aapka hum par ye vishwaas
nahi tootne denge..

They both share a cozy hug..
