In Jodha-Akbar movie, Jodha use to wore simple Jewels during her day toady life exception during festival or function she use to wear heavy jewels.

But why our jodha always wear heavy jewels, i looks so odd.

simple is always pretty and elegant for normal day today life.

An explanation I typed elsewhere -😊 hope it helps!

When I visited the palaces in Rajasthan, various articles were on display in the glass boxes - most of it being a king/queen's attire...now this was explained to us by the guides in detail. Apparently, queens never appeared in public unless fully decked (possibly since the other less-decked Roop is only meant for the eyes of their hubbies!) So yes, even when accompanying their kings on hunting missions they had everything on. It seems once dressed, their attire used to be so heavy they could barely walk -and even within palace grounds required palanquins to transport them. I don't know why they showed a simpler Aish in JA movie - at least, it wasn't an apt representation of what I saw in those palaces...
Also, it seems - the queen's palanquins required the sturdiest men since their dresses/jewellery would add tons to the weight...now God Forbid if the queen was chubby!
