That would be diary, of course, but I agree, it is a great line!

That is one hell of a great sentence you have written there. I have never seen such a good way of describing the Jalal-Ruq equation so far on this Forum:
Ruqaiya is more like a personal dairy to Jalal. The way one fills his dairy by end of the with the days happenings, he just shell out everything in front of Ruqaiya.
Wow! hats off!👏

mansi I agree with some of your points and not with some of the others🤔Hope you dont take offence dear...

I agree about your reservations pertaining to Jodha...many jump to her defence that she's been wronged and that she's gone through more than any other...that she's a fighter and that she's in emotional turmoil...
Jalal is a fighter too and in emotional turmoil too...however, he's being civil to her..and the least she could do is be civil to him in public..she need not forgive him...she need not respect him inwardly...she need not need to have an ounce of concern for him...but, the very lady who rebukes people who talk ill of their shehenshah is doing the very same in public- this, doesn't make sense to me...especially her backlash at Jalal in the bazaar made no sense to me...
I supported her during the joda burning and even during the mirchi incident since her anger at those stages seemed more justified...howeverm her behaviour lately has no basis at all!
Salima has also been wronged...Jalal sent away her husband (according to her this could have been a disgrace on BK's lifelong devotion) after all BK was Jalal's father figure...and consequently BK ended up being assassinated there...yet, she doesn't hold that grudge against Jalal...
Basically, I'm not saying Jodha should be overtly sweet like Salima, but she need not be as acidic as she is being now...its not reflecting well on the dignity of a 16th century princess - however fiery or not!

I disagree about your opinions on Ruqaiyya...yes, she has a confidence and arrogance about her power over Jalal and her status in the harem...but, at least so far - it's only been proven right...she is the most powerful and Jalal does fancy her the most...she is intelligent and just like Jalal, overlooks the finer sentiments of life...they're pretty much made for each other like friends...his face lights up with genuine happiness whenever he sees her and her's with earnest joy whenever she sees him...whatever her faults, her belief on Jalal's capabilities and her loyalty to Jalal is still untainted! She might NOT be a good wife ...but, Jalal doesn't seem to want her as a wife...he wants her as an empress and as a friend- both duties, which she does perfectly me thinks!😳

jodha was most irritating n in need of a reality chek if not a slap! 😡
why is jalal being shown as more n more reasonable n mature whil jodha is disintegrating into a graceless shrew!

Oh well. I totally did not understand the point of Jodha's being that rude, and particularly when Jalal was set up as such a stark contrast. Her behavior, compared to Jalal, was juvenile at best. I, however disagree about Ruqaiyaa. She was rather pleasant last night, and well if she still believes she is the favorite of Jalal, she has all the right to.
The thing is Jodha's behavior was more appalling and silly because of the way Jalal reacted to her. He was patient and calm and honest in his response, and hence I felt like he was the parent figure to a ranting, raving child. Lovely analysis by the way. But Javeeda, while silly, is the smartest of them all. 😉

Arre, just last week he was a rakshas and she was relatively quiet. Now this week its her turn. Waise, we viewers are going to just get it from them, one after another! So better to be prepared for some bad behaviour from some quarter every week!

I am tempted to wait and watch Ruqiaya. As of today she seems to be the right person in the right place with the right vibes and value for Jalal. But until Jalal falls in love with Jodha - that too in that eternal historic kind of love that it was supposed to be - this Ruqaiaya is still untested. So I want to wait and see what happens to her and her wavelength with Jalal when that big moment of test arrives.

Very true Annie..actually, for the first time yesterday I found Ruqaiyya genuinely fluttering about with the attention Jalal bestowed on her...plus, her teasing him about the cost appeared more like harmless banter to me..after all, why would she be concerned abt the cost..she is his first wife...the empress of the Mughal Sultanat...born in the same royal family he was and brought up in riches...it was all just push & nudge between two pals...

I don't know why many have been finding (not just you Mansi dear) Ruqaiyya's behaviour more haughty-than-usual...on the contrary, I found it more down-to-earth than usual...she had no retort when Jalal picked three dupattas for his three special begums...and she was genuinely elated when he gifted her the first...

In fact it was because of Ruq's cordial/respectful behaviour yesterday that I found Jodha's even more annoying...if Ruqs would have been equally annoying I don't think the difference would be as stark...😊
