Hello All to yet another Weekend thread 😃,... First of all Congrats to everyone for the TRP rise .. We r now the 3rd highest Show all across TV Channels .. So congratulations and celebrations 🥳🥳🥳🥳

Though I m super happy with TRP news , but that does not mean I m going to spare the CVs this week for playing around with Jalal's character haan 😡😈... This week was a mixed bag for me as I feel Jalal's character in the middle took a bit of a back seat and someone like Ruqaiyya started looking more smart and intelligent than Jalal , but the positive thing is at least Jalal started using his own brains by Friday's episode and made sure he does not jump the gun in Salima's case too 👍🏼... Also another positive is at least the viewers now know who is the real culprit ..pheww 😆😃..

Here r the top 10 noteworthy things from this week's episodes which includes both the positives as well as the negatives 😃

1) Jalal's character went for a toss this week but thankfully came back on track to some extent by Friday 😃...Is this a turning point for Jalal's traansformation into Akbar ?? 🤔 :

At the start of the week when I saw Jalal showing no mercy at all for Amer boys and Jodha without any concrete proof , I felt Ekta is reducing Jalal to one of her typical dumb daily soap heroes who dont hv a mind of his own but does everything depending on other's actions

Everytime I was hoping now Jalal will do something on his own , use his brain , find out real culprit ..etc etc .. I was hugely disappointed .. In fact Ruqaiyya was looking far more intelligent and a true princess than Jalal the way she found out the whole dibbi proof .. What I was expecting Jalal to do , unfortunately Ruqaiyya did it all 😕 ..

Coming to the Sujjanpur war , even though I loved the execution of whole war especially the scenes where Bhagwan das brilliantly showed his loyalty by not only taking the arrow to save Jalal's life but also offering him water in the battlefield 👏👏 , but its difficult to digest that a intelligent king like Jalal who won several big wars and is always ready with back-up in case of such backdoor attacks suddenly will hv no idea that Sujjanpur dacoits and troops can attack anytime and he will need those 4 Amer boys to save himself 😕😕.. So he never had any back up plan there and if there was no Amer boys , he would hv been defeated by a small province like Sujjanpur 😕😕... In fact the way Jalal was helplessly standing all alone surrounded by Sujjanpur Army , it was difficult to digest the fact that a smart warrior like Jalal can b so helpless 😕 .. Instead I would hv preferred to see Jalal and his men ready with back-ups and putting up a brave fight with Sujjanpur army , and mayb in between Jalal suddenly gets injured which is natural when Amer boys comes to his rescue .. That would hv gone well with Jalal's characterisation too 😊

Also for the first time I m liking Ruqaiyya and hoping to see her as good friend to Jodha now the way she saves Jodha on time 👍🏼 .. Again here I was disappointed that Jalal without thinking the reason for Jodha's sudden confession that she only is the culprit simply lifts up his talwaar to kill her .. that was like W*F and so unlike a Shehenshah .. I thought he will only put his talwaar on her neck and guess that she is lieing but it seems he had stopping thinking completely these days and Ruqaiyya is hving more brains than him 😕..

Anyways the good thing is by the end of the week , CVs did some damage control for Jalal ka character instead of making him one of those typical daily soap heroes who so easily falls prey to other's words and cannot hv a mind of his own .. I was extremely pleased to see that Jalal not only listening to his Advisor's words but not repeating the same mistake in case of Salima which means finally he is using his brains ...pheww 😳...Also I m glad Jalal releases Amer boys and Jodha in front of entire Courtyard thus accepting his own mistake 👍🏼... But I hope once Mahamanga is exposed , then Jalal goes on to apologise publicly to Jodha too for all the humiliations and accusations that she and her family had to suffer just because Jalal was a bit late in using his brains 😡😔...

Also this whole track should b a turning point in Jalal's life and hereafter he should always use his own brains and listen to others before jumping the gun and getting desperate to punish the culprit 😊... I will b glad if CVs use this whole chapter in Jalal's life as a trigger point to start the much awaited transformation of Jalal into Akbar and also the Jalal-Jodha love saga 😳

2) Ruqaiyya .. The True Mughal Princess 👏👏...

This week I truely want to appreciate Ruqaiyya for her honesty and fairness ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...If Ruqaiyya wanted she could hv kept the dibbi secret hidden for sometime and let Jalal kill off Jodha when she confessed in his room that she only killed the baby but instead Ruqaiyya plays it fair and saves Jodha by giving her own blood in the process 👍🏼...

Ruqaiyya might b a insecure women or might b thirsty for power , but when it comes to playing fair , she is spot on 👍🏼.. Like I said this week Ruqaiyya looked more intelligent as a Mughal than Jalal to me 😊... Ruqaiyya had more reasons to hate Jodha and want her dead than Jalal but even then she went onto investigate on the whole matter and managed to find out concrete proofs regarding the whole scheme of things ... Something which we all expected Jalal to do , to all our surprise its Ruqaiyya who does it 😲👏👏...

Somewhere this also proves that Jalal is actually a very emotional person and he had almost gone blind in his emotions after loosing his baby , so he almost stopped thinking and took it for granted that Jodha and her brothers did it for revenge whereas I see Ruqaiyya as more of a practical person in this case who for a moment forgets all the personal grudges against Jodha and looks for the bigger picture so that in future no such unfortunate miscarriages ever take place 👍🏼

Even though today when Jodha comes to meet Ruqaiyya and ask her for the culprit , we saw Ruqaiyya was extremely rude to Jodha but thats just her nature .. In true sense I will say she is extremely fair and honest with her decision making and not to forget she is quite intelligent and has proper knowledge about the Mughal politics too reason why before speaking to Jodha , she makes sure Hoshiyar goes out ..A smart presense of mind from the Princess 👏👏👏...Also she dint tell the name to Jodha simply because she promised Jalal that this will remain only between them till its 100% proved that Salima only is the culprit ,, So again I will say Ruqaiyya is dead honest with her decision making and promises too 👍🏼... In this case Jalal fails because despite the promise to Ruqaiyya , today he ends up spilling the beans to Mahamanga out of his emotions for her as a mother

So all I can say is take a bow Ruqaiyya .. she won my respect this week 👍🏼

3) Jodha's much needed reality check to Jalal :

I was so soo happy when Jodha gives it back to Jalal in style by making him realise that how he treats his own wife with such dis-respect , and so he does not deserve any respect or prayers from any woman 👏👏👏

I m really hoping that Jodha's words and the fact that she has not forgiven Jalal yet for all the humiliations and accusations put against her family will give a good reality check to Jalal and will make him realise that he is not God and so he should not try to b one especially when he failed in finding out the real culprit and went onto falsely accuse his innocent in-laws and even worst is keeping them imprisoned in Ekanth ...

In fact I feel Jodha's words did work on Jalal to some extent reason why in Salima's case , he went on to take advice for his advisor first before jumping to any sort of conclusions 👍🏼... In fact I saw Jalal restless and at loss of words for the first time when Ruqaiyya asked him why did he marry Jodha in first place and he was like errr I married her to break her guroor but now its all a mess and I dunno where its all going 😉😆😆... So basically Jalal does realise that he was wrong but its just that he has no idea how to do the damage control now as his mind is too engaged in finding out the real culprit 🤔...

I m glad that in this case even Hamida begum supports Jodha when Jodha tells her that she wont b able to say anything nice about her son anymore after what happened in last few days .. I really want Hamida begum to talk to Jalal later once the whole fiasco is over and then Jalal should apologise to Jodha and his family with his actions ...Best what he can do is mayb fix Sukanya's marriage and take all its responsibility on himself to redeem in front of Jodha's eyes 🤔

4) Salima and Jalal's Relationship :

It was really interesting to see the kind of relationship these two share as we never got a glimpse of that earlier but today we can clearly see that Jalal never really takes any advantage of his begums 👍🏼... Salima was almost shocked to see Jalal wanting to spend the night with her and so even though she could not refuse him because he is now her husband but the shock element on her face was clearly a proof that how it was unlike Jalal to spend a night with someone whom he still considers as Bairam khan's widow and respects her in that way only 👍🏼...

Even it was difficult for Jalal to do the entire drama with Salima just to find out the truth since he has a different level of respect for Salima begum and I m glad that Jalal does not go all the way but stops himself the moment he realises that Salima is innocent and got trapped just like Jodha 👍🏼...

Overall Salima and Jalal's relation is based on humanity and respect and this got me thinking that there could b many such begums in Harem too who were never touched by Jalal but he married them for some similar reason just like Salima's case .. possible na 🤔...

5) Mahamanga .. The real snake in disguise ...Will Rahim b the God's messenger in this case ??

So finally the obvious has come out from the horse's mouth itself 😡... I m glad CVs decided Mahamanga only is the culprit and even though its obvious but its believable too since Mahamanga has all the reasons to kill the upcoming waaris 🤔

Ashwini was fabulous today when in her self-talks , she confesses in front of mirror that she only killed the baby because she always loved her son Adham more than Jalal and cannot see her son in pain .. One could feel the inside pain , negativity , hatred and frustration inside Mahamanga when she confesses it to herself and was going through mixed emotions that time 👏👏👏... She looked scary , like a total devil .. So awesome acting by Ashwini ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I feel its Rahim who took the dibbi and kept it in Salima's drawyer .. So Rahim might b the one who will spill the beans to either Jalal or to Jodha since now Jodha too is on a mission to find out the real culprit 🤔... Kids r suppose to God's messenger .. So in this case a kid only will make sure justice is done finally 😃...Rahim must hv surely seen Mahamanga mixing the poison in kesar .. So he will surely say it all to either Jalal or Jodha ... I just hope he does not end up spilling to someone else as Mahamanga will b even more active now with Jalal spillig the beans to her 😡😡

6) The Loyal Amer Boys 👏👏

I got to give it to Bhagwan das and other brothers of Jodha for showing their perfect loyalty and protecting Mughals ka Honour and also saving Jalal's life when Sujjanpur troops attacked them suddenly 👏👏👏.. The way Bhagwan das takes the arrow for Jalal and later offers water to Jalal , that says it all and even Jalal was stunned to see their loyalty ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️...

Not once they thought about how their loyalty for Jalal could break Sukanya's rishta because their first priority was Jodha in this case as she was already married to Jalal 👍🏼...

Again its a good wake up call for Jalal ... At least Jalal will come out of his own insecurities when it comes to trusting Amer boys and Jodha 😊

7) Jalal-Jodha Love Saga .. Is this the trigger point ..

I m sure this whole track has a purpose .. the way Jalal accused Jodha , humiliated her , then finally realised she is innocent and now its Jodha's turn to give him back followed by Jalal's damage control mayb ... All this could b a trigger point for Jalal-Jodha love saga to kickstart 😎

I always felt that even though Jalal is attracted to Jodha but somewhere down the line he has certain insecurities and fear that Jodha can take revenge on him anytime and this is where he was quick to conclude that she only killed my baby to take revenge ... Now that insecurity and fear is over , I feel he will start trusting Amer boys and Jodha more than anyone else when it comes to honesty and loyalty ... So with that fear gone , I see the start of the epic love story now 😳

Already Jodha's words to Jalal about respecting women has deeply affected Jalal and so he is finally thinking rather than jumping to conclusions .. If Jodha catches Mahamanga before Jalal by taking Rahim's help , then I do see Jalal beginning to trust Jodha more than anyone else 😳...

8) What will b the punishment for Mahamanga once she is exposed in front of Jalal ..

I m sure by next week Mahamanga will b exposed since now not only Jalal-Ruqaiyya but even Jodha is on a mission to find out the culprit .. Also I feel every single truth might come out including earlier events like Maham mixing chillies in Jalal's food and accusing Jodha for it 🤔...So I wonder what will b the punishment given to Mahamanga now by Jalal 😕

I do see another emotional breakdown from Jalal when he will find out its Mahamanga .. Even today we can see how he blindly trusts her that he even goes onto break the promise given to Ruqaiyya by showing her the dibbi .. So once truth is out , I do see him completely devastated thinking how his own mother figure betrayed him all these years since its not the first time a miscarriage happened in harem

I dont think Jalal will b able to give death penalty to Maham .. So it could b life imprisonment mayb 🤔...Again biggest doubt here is will she b exposed at all or will she manage to trap one of the eunics like Hoshiyar or Shera since she is suppose to b main villain of the show and as per daily soap rule , villains cannot b exposed so soon 😕...

9) What will b Adham khan's reaction ..

So Adham khan already has a doubt its Mahamanga .. When truth will b out , obviously he will feel proud of his mother like he said today 😡 but will he do anything to protect his mother or will it b Jalal who out of loyalty , will save Maham from death penalty at least thus making her realise who is her real son in times of crisis 🤔

10) Will Jodha return back to Amer ??

After this track is over , I m wondering if Jodha will decide to return back to Amer with her brothers since she is still very upset about the whole incident and mayb Jalal will hv to go behind her and convince her to return back .. Thus the spoiler of Jalal saving her from tiger might come true too 😉😛

Even in the film , after a misunderstanding created by Maham , they showed Jodha returning back to Amer and then Jalal had to come to manaofy her 😳... I hope this happens in the show too so that Jalal is given that chance to do the needed damage control 😳

Phewww ..thats it from me .. looking forward to all your views on this week's episodes 😃😃

Jyo..that was just fab fab analysis!👏👏 I was also disappointed in Jalal's character earlier. And I was more surprise on the battle field where he was shown so helpless.😲😲 The Amer boys were⭐️👏

Jalal would have killed Jdha wen she confess killing his unborn child.😲 was he for real?😡 Ruqu gave me a blow👏👏 she saved Jodha and stopped Jalal from that mistake..👍🏼 She had that smile as well when Jalal anounced Amer boys and Jdha are innocent.

Am glad Jodha is back in form wth the needed reality check to Jalal who's brain went for a toss.👏..Wonder why Jalal told Ruqu he break Jodha Ka guroor..you spoke so soon Jalal😆

Now coming to Maham,I don't think she'll be exposed now but someone wlll be the scapegoat..maybe Resham.😕

Great analysis👏
I was disappointed by Jalal's characterization too! He did not behave like an emperor, not at all! He had accused Jodha and her family without proper evidence, only based on some mere suspicion! Being an emperor, he should've thought of all possibilities!
And here, I have to mention about Hamida begum! Kudos to her👏 I totally loved her character and the way in which she went against her own son! She is the true royal woman in the real sense! I wonder how could she have so much faith in Jodha! I guess a pure soul can identify the other one!She respected Jodha and has done puja on behalf of her! Even when Jodha was calling out her son, she din loose her balance! Again, she proved that she'll be on the right side! I liked how she spoke convincingly..she did understand Jodha's agony and at the same time softly told Jodha about the condition of Jalal! It's such a pleasing way!She was so right in saying that children only get flesh and blood from parents, but their character is built up by the way they are brought up! She took the entire fault on herself that she din take care of him..It's not easy to accept one's fault, specially when they are in such a high position! She has won my heart all over again!

After watching the episodes of this week, my respect grew for some more people and the first one among them is Ruqaiya, surprisingly! Yes, she's after the power! But then, she claims it openly! As you said, she has always played fair! She never wanted anything bad to happen to Jodha! She's just over possessive and din want Jalal's attention to divert towards her and so tried to prove herself by showing Jodha down! But she din do anything behind their backs! If she wanted, she would have simply let Jalal kill her and then tell him about that evidence,,but no! She din let Jalal kill her..which means that she din want Jalal to do anything which is against the rules! She cares for him too! May be she wants authority, but at the end of the day what makes her proud is that Jajal listens to and agrees to every single word of her's!

Next comes Salima begum! She was ready to give herself away even though she's not willing! She din utter a single word against him and readily accepted! and Jalal, you have at last done something that owns you a bit of respect! Good that you din jump to a conclusion, unlike in the case of Jodha! You would have had a guilt for a life time, had you done the same to Salima!

Raajput bros, you know what honesty means👏 Despite what Jalal did to you, you still stood up for him and saved his life! Maan singh-he was young but still so mature!

Maham Anga! What should I say about her? Disgusting will be a small word! How brutal can a person get? She has killed the child of the one, whom she brought up feeding her own milk! How can someone fall to that extent🤢 I'll better not discuss about her! Her own son had no faith in her, and that say's everything!

Lastly, yes! I think Jodha goes back to Amer😳 Ruqaiyya has already given a hint! The upcoming track would be worth watching!

Congratz to everyone on the TRPs 👍🏼 ❤️

Fabulous analysis Jyo 👏 👏 👏...I was really mad at Jalal for nearly the whole week, I only started to soften up to him when he was in two minds 😛 😆 but then again he took Jodha's word about her killing the baby without any proof and he raised his sword on her and I was mad at him once again 🤢 😡 😆

Ruqaiyya was the voice of reason and the way she handled the investigation was well done she was a true empress and when she didn't tell Jodha anything about the "culprit" because she gave her word to Jalal...hats off to her for keeping her word 👏 👏

Jalal on the other hand was just a hot mess yes he listened to his advisor which was the right thing to do but then to tell Mahamanga the first chance he got now that was a very stupid move on his part all I could do was scream at the screen and then curse him for being so blind...Now how could someone kill an innocent child and then try to blame two people for their own crime? but what bothers me the most is that she said that she loved Jalal yet she makes him suffer for that useless son of hers who would never do anything correctly 😡 😡 😡

Mahamanga is just pure evil no wonder B khan didn't want her anywhere near Jalal, I really hope that by next week she is caught and I too believe that Rahim is the one who found the bottle and put it in Salima's drawer cause he was hiding from Salima and we all know how great of a hider he is 😉 😃 So he must have seen Mahamanga do her wicked deed, I think that he will tell Jodha first. I can't wait fro Mahamanga to get hers.

Speaking of Jodha well she gave Jalal a reality check that shock him to his core and rightfully so, poor guy will have a lot of making up to do and I can totally see her going back to Amer with her brothers but the question is will Jalal want to let her go?! 😳

From the precap it seems that she won't forgive him easily, I can't way for what's in store for Jalal & Jodha next week.

Friends, Jyoti's as usual done a simply fab job on this weekend thread, that I must stand and applaud.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

Throughout this week I have also made many posts on various subjects, ranging from my suspicions about who may be the culprit, to asking questions of the Creatives on exactly what they intended by these last ten days of "viewer torture" in the name of the miscarriage mystery.

For this weekend thread these are the main points I want to throw up:

1. TRPs at the cost of character range?

Jalal's character seemed butchered to me for the better part of last week (as a carryover from the previous week as well) till on Friday, at last, he was shown as someone's whose brains had returned. Many Forum members had said to me via various posts and PMs that there must be a reason why Jalal is behaving so over the top - and that could be because of the deep distress he felt in having lost his child and the further deep distress he had in finding Jodha, whom he had finally trusted after years of mistrusting everybody, had let him down very badly. But friends, I do not even now fully buy that argument. I feel that in the name of the TRP game, the scripting of Jalal's character lost its range. In fact I think Jodha's character also lost its range. Jalal became too much of a predictable "eccentric" while Jodha became too much of a predictable "wimp". Sadness and distress are genuine emotions that characters will go through in a story, and this may affect their behaviour, for sure. But as inteligent viewers we know when something being portrayed feels genuine or not, and we know and sense when something is clearly over the top. When the situation goes over the top, the actors faces start freezing into masks that don't change over days and episodes. See how Jalal's face became permanently frozen into a tight, single-dimensional expression of righteous anger, while Jodha's face became a non-changing single-dimensional reflection of righteous indignation. The range of flitting emotions that a character undergoes in a crisis situation gets sacrificed to the intensity of the emotion ... such that for ten days on end we saw the same version of Jalal and the same version of Jodha. That was the point at which we all started screaming at the Creatives. Could the situation not have been used to show the varied textures of anger or indignation that both actors could have easily essayed, both being such fabulous actors? I think the scriptwriters got so carried away by the need to extend the story of the miscarriage over ten days, just to extract maximum TRP juice out of it, that they forgot that the actors need to be seen layering and texturising the heavy emotions they appear to feel. I saw repetitive cardboard cutouts of Jodha and Jalal that I never want to see again!

2. TRPs at the cost of the story consistencies?

The narrow scoping of the characters was not the only demerit of the TRP chase that the Creatives were attempting. The storyline itself became incredible and to a large extent stagnant and inconsistent. We were told that there was this huge crisis in the Kingdom of Jalal where he had lost the waaris he so wanted. He had suspicious circumstances to contend with, and a set of ready suspects in the form of Jodha and the Amer boys. The whole length and breadth of his court, his family, his subjects were agog with the mystery of the miscarriage. And yet the Creatives forgot the simple fact that in any mystery the protagonist has to at least make some attempts at investigation to unravel the mystery? Should the principal character - Jalal - get so caught up in his anger at the turn of events, that he totally forgets to initiate any sort of enquiry or investigation? Should that investigation be reduced to a small search of the harem by his woolly-headed wife who is dithering between calling the same Jodha a suspect at some times, and exonerating her also at some other times? Does an Emperor of nearly two-thirds of the great land of Hindustan leave it to the nazarband baandhis to bring their own proof to prove their innocence, when they cannot even stir outside their custodial quarters? Does the sane Emperor then try to punish the same baandhis by insisting they wage war for him against their own sambhandis, putting himself at the mercy of these same ill-used and probably antagonistic baandhis to save him at war? At the end of the ten days, does the Emperor then say in the open Sabha that the baandhis were unable to bring proof, but he has one dibbi found by his wife in the harem that gives him the reason to let loose the same baandhis? What on earth is this storyline? Can anybody with an ounce of intelligence buy this method of showing a murder mystery in a famed and historic royal court? Does it not make everyone look like a fool of the highest order - the Emperor, the surrounding Court, the baandhis themselves, the Creatives and most of all the viewers? Just because the TRPs jumped this last week does that justify a storyline that strains all credibility? Is anything annd everything OK so long as the TRP charts justify it? If this is the storyline when TRPs are on the rise, consider how desperately ridiculous the storyline may start getting when TRPs show a small dip!

3. Jalal and his other wives: what we love to hate

A lot has already been said on the Forum regarding whether we all want to see Jalal with all his other wives and harem-ites, or whether we prefer the story to be about Jalal and Jodha alone and we want to see just their romance blossom. The movie Jodha Akbar cleverly sidelined all the other wives, concubines and other assorted women in Akbar's life and focused on just his one wife Jodha. Maybe that was also a bit difficult to digest, if we are true to history, because everybody knows Akbar and the other kings of the age went bed-hopping like crazy. But my question to the Creatives is this: do you have to show Jalal as using the "bed-route" for everything he wants to "decipher"? When he is in uljhan, he is shown tossing and turning on Ruqaiya's bed. When he is in a playful mood, he is again tossing and turning in Ruqaiya's bed. When he is in a mood to uncover Salima's role in the mystery, he is found trying to seduce her in bed to get to the truth. A lot of his "subsequent thinking" after bouts of anger seems to get done only in someone's bed! I am tired of this cycle of "anger-by-day-out-of-bed" and then "thinking-by-night-in-someone's-bed". Let's have some other theatres of action in Jalal's life, Creatives, and thus lessen the impact of the bedding of his many wives that viewers clearly don't want to see. Surely he is a man of many parts?

4. Jalal and Jodha: where goes the relationship?

Where goes this Jodha-Jalal relationship now that it has hit its lowest point, is the million dollar question. When the Creatives gave some tweets at the start of this miscarriage twist, they are supposed to have said that the whole idea was to create this twist to take the love story of Jodha and Jalal to a new level. To me personally, the precap that appeared yesterday was the most interesting indication of how the story may - and should proceed. The background to the current relationship of Jodha and Jalal is that so far it has been based on lots of wrong assumptions on the part of both about each other. Jodha has judged Jalal by what she has heard of his barbarism, and what little she has seen of his uncontrolled bursts of anger. Jalal has judged Jodha by what he has heard of her as a covetable object, and what little he has seen of her as a hatred-fillled shrew. But yesterday in the precap the real opportunity for the beginning of a new chapter in their lives was demonstrated when Jodha broke that glass vase. In that scene Jodha says "Like this glass vase that is broken, neither reputation nor trust nor relationships can ever be joined again, and even if there is a lot of repair done, the scars will always be there". That's very true, my dear girl, but I wish - I so wish - that Jalal would now have the breadth of mind to tell her : "Jodha, my dear, that exactly why we should not attempt to either restore or repair what's broken, but we should buy a whole new and better vase". The way forward, according to me, is for both to wipe the slate completely clean, and to start looking at each other all over again. She should not look at him as the mad man who compounded her misery with the false accusation. He should not look at her as the woman whose already measly impression of him has gone from worse to worst! If Hamida has any sway over their thinking, she at least could tell them "Begin anew!" for that is the only way forward. I hope that is what the Creatives meant when they said the relationship of Jodha and Jalal will now hit a new level. I hope it is not just the old relationship in an altered "eyelocks" format, but a whole new way for both of them to see each other sans past colourings!

5. The role of the parents - Bharmal and Hamida

One of the most interesting aspects of the week gone by for me was to see how both the parents behaved in this whole episode. Bharmal and Hamida in their own ways did what they could to keep things at some level of reasonability in a situation that could have gone out of hand. Bharmal exerted subtle influence on Jalal and helped temper him down to some degree of stability in his life, by telling his Amer boys to be loyal to him, no matter what he threw at them in the way of accusations and swipes. Hamida helped Jodha to keep her steadiness by continuing with her puja traditions for her, and by trying to bring some measure of sanity to her plight. The role of the parents were quite well-fulfilled to me, because it is at moments of crisis, I feel, that the steadying influence of parents can really help. But what happened to Bharmal suddenly at the end of this week remains a question. After sending his sons to war where has Bharmal vanished? Anyway, I liked the way the script included some roles for Bharmal and Hamida to play in calming the situation down, even if their scenes were just incidental and were not sensational acting performances.

6. The role of the brothers - hers and his

This week gone by also showed very clearly the differences in the two sets of brothers of Jodha and Jalal respectively. Here Jodha has a set of brothers who do as they are told, are very disciplined soldiers of loyalty above all else, and who play for Jodha's side by their measured behaviour and rather quiet presence. And there we have the two brothers (if they may be called that) of Jalal, who are just the opposite. Sharifuddin (the brother-in-law) and Adham (of dubious brother status) are throne-coveting ambitious fiends, unreliable and ruthlessly self-centred, murder-ready, and their way of playing on Jalal's side is by trying to best Jalal himself at every given opportunity. Sometimes you have family that coheres and helps you fight external enemies. And sometimes you have family that is the principal enemy. Jalal has a huge disadvantage in these two brothers whereas Jodha has a huge advantage. Storywise, we may all see the Amer boys as insipid, while Jalal's brothers are colourful. But if we were to examine the value of these sets of brothers to the main protagonists, one side has all the advantage and the other side has all the treachery to deal with. Jodha has to make allowances for Jalal's handicap on this front!

7. Mahamanga overplays her hand? Gets caught? So what?

A lot of us this last week knew from the Tatasky synopsis that Mahamanga would be the ultimate culprit and yesterday it even came out on the screen quite explicitly, so there's no doubt left. There is only the process of uncovering the culprit that remains. But when we were all faced with the truth that the culprit would be Mahamanga, we all - every one of us - were sure that with her wiliness she would never personally get caught, and she would make some "fall guy" take the blame and she would go scot-free. We all said that it would be typical of Hindi soaps that the villains never get caught because they are needed for the story in future. But - and here's a big BUT - this time I have some sneaking suspicion that Ekta may surprise all of us. I am just trying to imagine what would happen if Mahamanga were really exposed this time. What if Jalal finds out who was behind the miscarriage and why? What if he, Jodha, Ruqaiya, Hamida etc. all come to know that Mahamanga did all this herself to try and prevent a waaris from being born in order that her son Adham may one day have a chance to succeed Jalal? Let's look at the possible fallouts:

a. Jalal may see thorugh his dai maa's weakness and he may even despise her - but will he forgive her again as he usually does? The question is: is the loss of his child a greater sorrow to him than the loss of his dai maa? He needs a reality check here!

b. Will a bruised and battered Mahamanga, exposed as a culprit, now become less sure of herself and do less of her manipulatiions - or will she turn into a singed tigress and turn nastier than ever before? Will she decide to be even more careful in future to cover her tracks and thus become more of a lethal enemy, and thus become even more important to the storyline?

c. Will Mahamanga lose her respected status at the court if she is exposed but actually acquire greater "negative status" and thus get even more "reluctant respect" than before as an object of expected potential evil?

Why I ask these questions is that it is wrong of us all to assume that just because a character is exposed they will quieten down, and that the story will not allow the villains to be quiet, and hence they cannot be shown to get caught. In fact the truth is that if someone is either exposed fully or even partially, they may get cleverer than before and dare to do greater evil than before in the assumption that they went wrong because they were not thorough enough. So let's wait and watch. If Mahamanga is not caught we have the same old Indian soap story. If Mahamanga is caught, we have a possible villain of even greater vibrancy!

8. The future track? The pirbaba fights the cheetah?

I usually reserve this space at the end of my posts for my own predictions of what may be the future track. But I reserve judgement this week. I have just seen a picture of Rajat (offscreen) wearing the robes of a pirbaba, sporting a big beard and looking like he is in disguise. This has shattered all my previous predictions because I don't know what to make of this spoiler picture.

a. Maybe Jalal is in disguise to catch the culprit (possible, since the shot was taken at the end of last week and will most probably air this coming week?).

b. Maybe, as Jyoti tells me, Jodha has decided to return to Amer and Jalal goes again to Amer in disguise to try and get Jodha back (in which case he may even compete with Shakuni Bai as the prophecying pirbaba?)

c. Maybe this is a picture of how Jalal takes a vrath to go to the dargah with Jodha and his mother after the miscarriage mystery is solved (its supposed to be the trip when he fights the cheetah, but imagine the scene if he fights the cheetah wearing this robe and beard? The cheetah would hook for his life!)

I'm gonna stick my bits from posts all over the week 😆
the difference between the Rajput Men and jodha ,I have always noticed ! While Her brothers and father have seen the practicality of the world and the consequences of a "Vachan" ... Jodha is yet to realize the gravity of the outside world and politics. 😊
Kudos to BD ! He was the man today ! Not only he proves he is a true Rajput who very well knows to follow his promises , but also someone who despite knowing Jalal's plan to personally hurt sukanya, still can see that there is a political reason for which Jalal is justified !
How bluntly he told the opposition party that he is following his duty, whatever it is , but it is whom he didn't follow it by giving refuge to dacoits !
Or else I don't think a true Rajput would help and "unjust" cause of Jalal ! They would prefer to die than to help a wrong person !

I'm sure it will be BD only to explain this to jodha in near future ! That despite a hidden agenda , Jalal is not totally wrong for breaking sukanya ka wedding ! Because if he is a TRUE king , he would have taken this war despite not being angry on jodha ?!

Ok with the war ! Jalal is not an ass to have a tent in middle of the amer boys ! Although he was warned for a ruler of India - his ego Is enough to let him feel that four men can't do any harm to him ! His main motive was to know of their mind games if any Gainst him than the fear of getting attacked ! As simple as it is for the price of any king !

About the untimely attack ! Jalal was dumb to not be ready , but again ! There are MANY kings in history who have lost the smallest and biggest battles due to thinkin that the enemy will NEVER attack them breaking rules of time ! Prithviraj and maharana pratap have faulted due to such decisions ! When traitors like ghazni attacked them in night / rest time ! So it's like a step for every king to go through to be more is smart the next time ! And no I'm not totally defending Jalal ! I'm just saying that there are many such brave kings who have underestimated enemies by giving them doubt of trust ! And yahan toh they were Rajputs who never do this cowardly act ! I wonder what the cvs thought when showing them such traitors !

Coming to Sword scene it was a maha lame attempt by cvs in the first go ! Because I think both aides of protestors will go mad with this ! Mughals for making Jalal such a psycho for raisin hand on a woman that too sword one ... And Rajputs for making a Rajput girl telling her enemy to kill her ! :@ they will again cry that their woman will do Jauhar but not let an enemy kill them like this with open will This sword scene is the main kaanta for me ! :/ !
Somehow both the cultures were tampered in this and the CVs never learn !

I'm just waiting for this track to get over ! Unfortunately it is a daily soap rule that for a misunderstanding the couple has to leve their brains or tongue aside n no Akdha are not exempted ! even movie ka Jalal who had a more bigger heart didn't think once before accusing jodha for adultery ! So overall drama ke liye all need to go dumb !

The culprit ! MA ! 🤢
She is indeed smart ! Telling adham the oaf can spell trouble to her ! 😆 so she hasn't told anyone about this !

@jyo ! I really don't think MA is gonna get caught soon ! She has to last long ! She dies after adham ! And she is the main vamp ! This trak may be sidelined for Akdha romance and surge up again to separate them since Jalal won't believe jodha that his ammi could do this 😆

I was wondering why Jalal just simply could gift salima the kesar than this cozy thing ... But since ruku thought she wants to bear Jalal's child and all ... It was clear from Jalal's questions he was testing if she indeed wanted to get preggers and be MUZ ! 😛 but she got scot free of that and also the murder blame !

All in all the story has now shifted gears ! While Jalal takes a step towards Akbar , jodha may now understand the politics of power ! 😆 and we will get some rawrs soon ! ;)

Ruqaiya toh hai hi smart ! Maine toh bola tha I like her a little ! 😉 ! She totally proved why she rules the harem and Jalal and that pretty much says all ! :)
The only sore was the sword thing for me ! 😡 the CVs could get into trouble from both sides like I said ! For showing Jalal killing a woman and jodha for getting killed by enemy than Jauhar ! 🥱

But chalo ! Der aaye durust aaye ! 😳

Jodha took a phadu class of Jalal ! Very much deserved ! 😃
Somewhere in his unconscious mind he was scared that he would have killed jodha and that's why he being the jallad scolds her for lying to him ! 😳 lol !

Amer: I don't think that is coming re ! 😕 otherwise Rajputs will make another protest since girls aren't supposed to leave saasra like that in those days ! (Even today :/) 🥱
Plus in the movie Jalal had ousted jodha ! 😛
Plus here it's hatred na ! Jodha will never think to go out against him and anger him for the sake of her brothers ! and here her brothers are happy with Jalal ka apology ! So no track of separation !
Plus rumor says the tiger attacks when Akdha and Hamida are on some trip ! Basically Hamida has planned a jungle mein mangal for her Bacchus ! 🤣

Something funny about the precap today !

KJo had tweeted a day ago abt what jodha says in precap ! is he writing dialogues now for Ekie baby lmao !

@karanjohar: Friendship is like Chinaware...Rich,exquisite and rare...once broken,it can be mended...but the crack is always there... 😲 🤣

But I don't think Ekta ll expose MA so soon and all those who watches her show know tat she shows everything in extreme love ,hatred, trust ,envy , misunderstanding list is too long 😛even villain goes too far tat no one can expect 😡

anyways I m glad that finally this track is over and now at least we know who is the real culprit so no more CID😆

Keep all the takes coming ... 😃

I m running short of time due to puja and all , will reply each one of u in the evening 😳

@Khush : Wanted to say something on Jalal in this case ..the points u hv mentioned about he wanted to test the Amer boys and their loyalty and so he puts that tent in middle and see if they come to his rescuse does make sense but my issue is what u said does not come across in the show which could b a fault in execution too .. I mean as a viewer I should come to know from Jalal's self talks or expressions that he wanted to test the loyalty of Amer boys in this Sujjanpur war .. but the way Amer boys saved him , it dint really come across like that .. it looked as if Jalal really had no idea whats coming and was shocked to see Amer boys saving him

And yes biggest of kings do make mistakes during war and thats why get defeated in the process too .. But in this case if u notice this week the mistakes were way too often .. in fact forget the blunders made in war , what about Jalal's instant reaction of raising the sword to kill Jodha .. where did the Shehenshah's principles go here .. I mean any random person will come and say I killed the baby , and he will cut off that person's head in room itself 😕 ... I agree that CVs did few blunders here .. but the damage control to some extent was done by end of the week at least ..pheww for small mercies 😆😆

@Mansi and all : I will come back to all your takes in the evening 😃
