Jalal-Hameeda Banu-MA
Oh nooo Hameeda Banu states the 'Jodha Begum paak' dialogue and just as I thought we had a not-very melodious music in the background...coupled with MA's devilish smile...hmmm...

I also liked how Jalal had a sinister smile when he said very matter-of-factly about the Hameeda-Jodha connection 'Seems like AmmiJaan loves Jodha a bit much...possibly more than she loves me'
MA was amused! LOL
However, this doubt of Jalal was definitely confirmed when at a later stage Hameeda Banu calls Jodha 'Hamaari bachi' 😆...

Amer
Mainawati's worry about Jodha not becoming the 'Patraani' is understandable...😳

Jodha-Ruq
Jodha seemed very genuine in her effort to congratulate Ruqaiyya. Ruq (as usual) need not have insulted Jodha so! Also, without even knowing the outcome of her pregnancy its better than Ruq shut-up than blow her own trumpet!

Also, Jodha seemed to know a LOT more about the essence of motherhood than Ruq did - something that Ruqaiyya should have known/understood by now *sigh* (On a side note I loved Jodha's peacock blue ghagra!)

The hameeda-Jodha connection -
Loool bonding much? All I can say is that if Mainawati had seen this...she might have started getting a bit jealous...😆
Obviously, the best part of the meeting is when Hameeda expresses her wish that Jodha should soon enough, join Ruqaiyya in giving everyone the good news too!

Ruq-phoophi
Well...for the first time I witnessed Ruq darling show true love for someone - her 'phoophi!'

Ruq-Jalal
Awww we got to witness Jalal's handicap here - his illiteracy...

Now Ruqaiyya managed to show her cheap attitude by dismissing Jodha's gift - a silver spoon and a small scroll with a hand-written poem!
However, no sooner than Jalal opens the gift he starts appreciating what was in it without even understanding its true significance...its like something just told him that whatever Jodha has gifted the new parents, was both earnest and intelligent!

I don't care what Ruq kept blabbing on about since Jalal was least bothered...
All he said about Jodha's heartfelt poem was that 'It seems to have been penned straight from the heart...'

A sleepless Jalal
Sleepless Jalal- Now, what a sight is that!
The moonlit king's chamber - Jalal tosses in his bed as he becomes lost in thoughts of his beloved. He recollects her face when he'd removed her veil after their sword fight. He remembers their encounter after the Arthi.
To top it all, he reminisces the verses of the beautiful poem Jodha'd written for Ruqaiyya's baby...

'Everytime you do something different princess of Amer' he tells himself, as the lovestruck emperor looks out of his window with a goblet of water in his hand 'I don't want to think about you...yet...you compulsively raid my thoughts' he pauses 'You didn't come here to partake in my happiness...yet, the token of appreciation you've gifted in honour of my child...is something that has touched me!'

Jalal-Jodha
Whatever Mothi and Jodha were busy discussing about was inconsequential when one realizes why Jalal had arrived at Jodha's chamber. No sooner than the maids disperse, he starts reciting her very poem back to her - word to word!
The scene of the day - Jodha was truly speechless as she had NOT expected that!

'Beautiful poem' he concludes 'Now what's the meaning of this poem?'
'I'd given this gift to Begum Ruqaiyya...how did you...' she asks, confused
'I know...I couldn't read it..so she read it out to me' he clarifies 'Now explain its verses to me'
'You're not so innocent that you wouldn't understand the meaning of such a simple poem as this'

However, the emperor refuses to budge. He remains stubborn that she explain every bit of it. Therefore, Jodha obliges him and elaborates very eloquently - one can see the pride in her face as she does so!

'Mashallah! What novelty...hearing your poem directly from you has now made it priceless!'
Trying not to react to his compliments, she reminds him humbly 'I need to get ready for the Utsav'
'Your attitude is different indeed' he mulls
'Now what did I say?'
'You've indicated that its time for me to leave without actually asking me to do so!'
'You have a bad habit of twisting words to suit your convenience' she argues
'What about your attitude?' he counters 'You shower gifts...you shower anger...'
She is unable to answer him

However, once he does leave...this is possibly the first and true sign of a blush we see from the Ameri princess

Word of warning before watching Precap-
Since we're not as drunk as Adham - I'd advice one and all to tone down the volume...MA is at her most audible!

Such a beautiful post and few comments..?
what the 😆
The cvs deserve an applause for such a beautiful carried out track. The thoughtful gift, Jodha's generosity, touched Jalal. Rukayya has however become a lost case now.

As a child, Akbar could recite paragraphs after they were read to them. I bet he was dyslexic!

Excellent post. :) I confess, I fast-forward all "Ruku" scenes - can't stand her! But I LOVED J&J interaction. These two remind me of lil boy and girl on a playground - constantly bantering! Cute.

As for the underlined. *sigh* Too late. Wish I'd read it before. I had headphones on and...well...i got an earful! 😆

very nice post, lashy...👏👏👏

Jodha has found an ardent fan in Hamida bano...today, I am all the more happy that jodha didn't agree to fake pregnancy...the truth would have done irreversible damage to their beautiful relation...Coming back to today's episode...jalal must notice that jodha is gradually becoming everyones' ladli...be it Rahim or Hamida bano...

Ruk failed to understand but jodha's noble intention were transparent to jalal...he didn't exactly understand the poem...but, he could instantly connect with it...love overcomes all barriers...

Sleepless jalal...why not?? He has come across an intriguing woman...who never ceases to surprise him...be it any situation...he can never guess whther his new begum gonna follow her heart or mind...

One thing I always admire about jalal...his uninhibited appreciation for things/gestures he finds praiseworthy...I could not help but admire...how radiant jodha looked when she explains the poem to him...and, how pleased jalal looked...this woman does bring to fore a lot of unseen facets of jalal's personality...

'tohfa bhi deti hain aur khafa bhi rehti hain' what cn be more appropriate than this line as a parting shot...?? no wonder, jodha was blushing...
