Mansi di, the name change couldn't be weaved in to the story line in any logical way, let's face it. Not even the way you suggested. Because even if Jalal is shown to give a new name to Jodha as a title , still Jodha's family Maan Singh n co. will continue to call her by her maiden name, isn't it ? Why'd Jodha's mom start calling her Mariam or some thing all of a sudden ? 😆

Yes you are right. So that means if Jalal wants to change her name such that even her own family should call her by the new name he has to issue a Shahi Diktat that if anybody calls her by any old name, "unka jeeb kaat diya jayega!". Then mainvati will not even open her mouth!😆😆😆
