Dear Jalaal,
You maybe a cruel heartless warrior - an objective emperor - you may be too-flawed-a-man , but you have always proven to be a man of honour; with rare glimpses of a soft heart. So, just to remind you that Jodha maybe a victory for you - over Amer, over her arrogant pride, over her disdain and disgust for you. You fought fair and square to get the object of your obsession under your grasp - and now, she arrives in Agra to decorate your palatial palace corridors as a trophy. You have bought Jodha from Bharmal in exchange for Amer - a political barter in the eyes of the world but a gleeful gloating moment of triumph for you as the woman who raised her head and sword at you.
Fair enough.
But even a chess board has its rules. So, play fair. I am hopeful that you will. You own Jodha as a trophy , not as woman, not as a wife. You have bought her, now you own her - but you have NOT won her. You have conquered Jodha and winning and conquering are quite opposite you know. So, when you step forward to touch her and claim her as your wife , remember that she is still a trophy , and not a won-over-wife. You will win her over when you win her respect, love and pride.
All that is mentioned above are threads of the future - but even now, your own honour as a man would not allow you to touch Jodha against her will. Right? After all, last we checked, you are too man enough to do that - even if the woman in question is your own wife.
