Okay. After the violent nature pf protests and the article about the rumor surrounding the show's longevity, we have to do something about it.

Our course of action- Mail Balaji. Contact Ekta in Twitter( for the people who have twitter accounts) and mail zee tv.

Our suggestions-

1. A change of title. It can be anything.

2. A change of names of the characters.

3. A change of the background of Jodha and Jalal. Make Jalal a regular ( well, famous) Muslim king. Make Jodha a regular Hindu princess. The story remains the same.

4. This is, after all, more of a fiction and less of a historical drama. The show will have a better and wider playing field with the format change. And just a re-recording of dialogues can achieve this easily.

5. Ekta can still follow the same format, with no fear of protests.

6. We can enjoy the show just as much, without the fear of bans, or protests.

If anyone opposes the idea or supports it, please come forward and join in.

dear even if u change the names they dont want any Mughul-Rajput alliance.. and that means changing the concept.. then there will be no meaning to show.. and no one wud watch it trust me.. only 1/4th of the whole viewers are here.. we may agree.. we may watch after all name, BG changes.. but not others..

Rajput comunity wont listen to anything and anyone. when they didnt satisfy with the disclaimer you think they wud shut their mouths ??

and the best part.. even they are following the show.. warna unhe pata kaise chalta how Rajput princess is been protrayed in the show?

my sincere prayers for Rajat and JA cast n crew.. hope they would go through this rough time well and good,.

No. changing to Akbar won't solve anything. The muslim communities will be up in arms about it. It's better to just change him to a fictional muslim king.

I don't think so. People were initially hooked to the show because of the movie link, and the Mughal-Rajput thing, but by now, most of us have understood that it has not much relationship with history. I have been talking to people out of this forum and most said they will be happier with a name and background change. The Karni people won't stop unless the Rajput reference is obliterated from the show. Which is easy enough, because any hindu princess will have the same difficulties with a muslim household. The concept won't change, the basic concept is about how love changes people. And most are here to only watch that. and not worry about Akbar. Viewers can happily live with a fictional show based on a fictional muslim king and a hindu princess. The protesters can not. So, why give them a chance to protest at all?

one of the clause on their protests is that a Rajput princess never really loved her Mughul husband.. it was mere political marriage.

so even if u change the name.. they still have this reason..

and changing the name is not easy dear.. lot of things have to be changed.. even if they agree then the whole show has to shut down and re-open in new background. which is twice as much as loss Ekta is facing now! u really think she would go so far?

Exactly, this is why I have been saying about making them into a fictional hindu princess and not a Rajput one. And transform Jalal into a regular muslim king, with no link to Akbar. The show is already accused of being too fictional, is it not better to make it completely so? And no, the scenes can be shot in the same place, they just need to re-record the dialogues, which given the many days they have already shot for is much less of a waste of money, than to entirely shut down the show.
