I read somewhere Bairam's wife was Salima Sultan, who later became Akbar's 2nd wife after Bairam's death. He took her name in yesterday's episode.

Ruqaiya was childless. Akbar gave her Shahjahan to raise, when he was just six days old. She outlived Akbar.

Historians have it that he was married to more than one woman but his heart was with Jodha, mainly because she was able to give him an heir, although whether it was her own child or not is again a dispute still very much alive today!
