IDK why some people couldn't understand why Jodha hates Jalal with a passion, 🀪 Come on ! It's most natural. Rajputs n Mughals were arch enemies during those days. What we expect her , a Rajput princess , to feel for the leader of Mughals ?? Luv shuv ?? 🀣

She has always led a very protected life in a very loving family, with basically no exposure to real cruelity, at least not the kind of ruthless cruelity Mughals were known to do. She'd training for battle, but never had seen a real war. Her very first n very unexpected exposure to any kind of cruelity was the attack by Mughals in the Kali temple. Though they didn't touch her , we couldn't deny that they'd have picked her up instead of Moti Bai if only they'd the chance. That event left a deep impact on her mind, n not only that event, being born n brought up in a royal Rajput household she must've grown up hearing how bad Mughals are, how they wanna destroy Rajputana n Rajputs etc etc, n also how their leader Jalal is a Jallad, her own father always says that stuff, n her brothers too. What we expect ? All these would leave no impact on her ? Where's the logic in it ?
The picture that must've been drawn in her heart of Jalal , hearing all these from all the people around her , is that of a blood thirsty moster.
When she'll find out for herself, Jalal is not so bad n many of the wrong doings of Mughals were done with out informing him or his permission, her view will change, n THAT's the way it should be.
I totally agree that "Jalal head" dialog is totally repeating, 😳 But that doesn't render her hostility towards him invalid, uncalled for or unexpected. In fact it is very much expected.

Her passionate hatred is unjustified, like he has harmed her personally. There are others around her who hate him too. But not like Jodha who starts jumping at the very mention of his name. She sounds like a vengeful lover even before Suryabhan is killed. Then, I would understand why she would hate him so much.

I think upcoming Jodha won't agree to marry Jalal per say, Bharmal will tell her "You have to marry Jalal." And Menavati will tell her "For heaven's sake, use the poison before he even sets foot in your chamber."
Jodha, I think will be in too much shock over Suryabhan's death to be all "vengeance!" for a few days atleast. And then, she'll be "I will have his head!"
Or you know, Ekta could introduce a twist in which Bharmal does not tell Jodha that she is getting married to Jalal and tells her that Suryabhan wants to marry in a tent and she marries Jalal that way😕😆
At least no misunderstanding track with Surya in the future- that relationship will remain perfect in Jodha's eyes.

Personal ? What do you mean by personal ? Not every person is as narrow minded as to consider only his/her own personal gain or loss. So this theory of " To hate some one ,he'd need to do some thing personal to me" can best be said as your personal opinion but why should it apply to Jodha ?
Jodha is a princess , for her ,.her subjects , her Amer , her Rajputana comes first , n her personal loss or gain comes much later . She'd explained her reason to loath Jalal to Surya in that prison visit episode, remember ? I advise you to watch that epi once more very carefully, I think then you'll understand why she behaves like that. I bet she wouldn't have hated Jalal as much if he was just a personal threat to her rather than threat to her people, Amer folks. It doesn't take much calculation to guess what'd befall the people of Amer if Jalal succeeds in his mission of capturing Ameer, n he's planning to do exactly that in the beginning of the show, though he later totally postponed it.
Her obsession for Jalal's death comes from her deep fear n apprehension for her Ameer, for her family n their fate in the present scenerio of Mughals approaching to their lands. She thinks they couldn't be safe unless n untill Jalal , the leader is no more. Is that thought irrational ?
Yes! She does over react ! But she's also some how worried sick for every one n every thing she loves n worry n fear can make as do all sorts of things. It happens with every one. Mango students of my class some times behave like crazies before Finals, that DOESN't render them nutters , they're just acting under worry for the exams.
Jodha's worries n fears are based on reality , so why not her obsession be considered realistic ?
She's still a long way to go, she's too young , too naive , too unexposed . We can't always expect her to behave like a very mature woman. Maturity comes with age. Even Jalal is very immature, he's always letting others take the decisions for him, but I'm not jumping at his throat n calling him immature or weak as a king , or questioning his personality , when he's basically shown to be swayed n manipulated quite easily by 3 women. Because I understand. From Jalal to Akbar it's a long way, it's gonna take time. It SHOULD take time. He's only 20 after all
I just want others to give Jodha the same lease for showing some immaturity ,which is very natural at her age.

Today's episode, the brutal killing of Suryabhan apart, was at times side-splittingly comic, especially the chaos in the fort when Sharifuddin's soldiers come to deliver their master's message.

First of all, there was not a single look out well outside the fort to give some advance warning. Nor any way of finding out what had happened the previous day in the battle. Surely some straggler from the Amer-Bhanpur army would have escaped and made it back to Amer and told them about the disaster? Apparently not.

There was no organised defence of the fort arranged by Bhagwan Das. who had been given that task.

Instead, they started beating the drums on the ramparts only after the Mughal horsemen were visible. The inhabitants then ran helter skelter all over the place, with Mynavati herding the women into the safe room and the men, headed by the paunchy Bharmal, his tummy shaking like a jelly,😉 brandishing their swords and running to the open gates. If there had been about a hundred Mughal soldiers, they could have overrun the place without even having to break down the main doors.

The Mughals are made out, in the background commentary, to be deceitful, dishonourable and brutal. But in the foreground visuals, the Rajputs are clearly made out to be vain, posturing, incompetent idiots.

If one wants to see calm courage under fire, and impeccable dignity even when disaster stares you in the face, and this both for the king and his queens, one should go the opulently mounted Maharana Pratap. The chief Maharani, Jaiwantibai, is utterly superb, her dark, fine featured face an oasis of calm and unruffled determination to do whatever it takes to uphold the honour and the traditions of Mewar. Compared to her, Mynavati behaves like a village housewife.

There are never any raised voices, except when the Maharana gets angry at his son and heir (played very competently by the last year's DID L'il Masters winner, the 13 year old Faisal Khan, now 14) for being too adventurous, and the royals conduct themselves, in public and among themselves, with admirable self control and restraint. No nasty sneers and squabbles there.

Because of all this, one does not mind the overall lack of complexity, the traditional format in which they all operate, the uncomplicated values portrayed and the black and white characterisations, especially the sole negative point, an OTT villain, who looks like Casting Central's idea of a thuggish Afghan subedar.

Jodha Akbar was initially so fresh and promising precisely because it had much that Maharana Pratap lacked in terms of grey, layered characters, especially the superb Ruqaiya. Alas, the operative word now seems to be 'had'!

Poor me! I also fail to understand the fairness n logic behind blaming Paridhi's features for Jodha's plain looks at times! When Rajat looked not-so-good during the first few epis, every one so easily understood that he's being given disaster of eye make up.( N I agree ) But how came some people fail to notice that due to extremely poor PH values , Paridhi is being given horrible clothes ( plain n simple will be too much praise for the clothes 😳) , some times Moti Bai wears better clothes than her. PS is given absolutely no make up, not even some lip sticks , while in all the historicals till now , be it of past or present, female leads were given absolutely best of dresses n make ups , no matter what happens , make up waise ka waisa, chahe show me duniya ulat pulat ho jaye ,🀣.
But why not ? Show bizz hai, make up n dresses are extremely important.
It's not the responsibility of the actress to deck herself up, PH should take care all of that, they should take the flak, n not the actress, who has looked divinely beautiful n every bit the loveliest Rajput princess in the shadi wala promos, where the PH gave her a proper attire n good jewelry n little bit of make up. So, she has all the features just perfect, but what about accentuating them ??
N if PH fail to do that, why blame the actress for looks? We all always drag PRC n MP in our discussion n compare, what about the kind of costumes n make up, n jewelry that the females of these shows enjoyed ? They got the best of best in terms of creating their looks, which brought out the best in them. A lot of money n effort were put to creating their looks, so of course they looked good.
But then, why say all these ? 🀔
Since when bashers have needed any reason to bash ?? 😆

Lol ^^ Aunty, in JA, I only see people running around the place, in the palace or on the battlefield.

In MP, the way royals talk is really good. In JA it sounds more or less like the language we use without the slangs.

Who is bashing? As for what you had justified calling 'jodha' immature.

She is actually shown to be quite mature in the show, . It has no connection with her hating Jalal. Her make up and jewellery look fine to me. So does Rajat.

If you compare MP and JA costume wise, the production houses are extremely different. The genre of both the shows is quite different. The only thing is the Rajputs in MP look and act more royal.

Plus, the Sagar are pro at such shows.
