My attempt to beat boredom in the afternoon by going to movie De Taali proved to be a disaster as the movie had no story, direction and the compositions were totally crap (thanks to Vishal Shekhar for adding another feather in their cap, every time a song came (5 minutely ) audience vanished for smoke, popcorn, bathroom etc… But eventually evening turned to be a better one as the theme was Rain in JJWS.
Vinit remained in the comfort zone and chose a song with hardly any notes in mandra range..
Debojeet chose Megha re (pyasa sawan, Laxmi-Pyare saab), based on raag charukeshi, this is for consumption of more classically inclined, nevertheless it was a good choice and a genuine attempt but the feel was lacking.
Toshi's mere piya (Bandit Queen) again is a beautiful song on raag des, and he did justice to it, a good rendition.
Rahul is moving towards dramatic more and more, ab ke sawan has a lot of power and this was a miss other than sur and then his mohabbat drama with Mandira followed, vote tactics…?
Harshit's Ghanan ghanan (based on raag kafi) again was good rendition , thanks to all of them for an entertaining evening…
