He was simply flat on the whole jhoom barabar part and when he hit the high notes later on, he was strained tho it was on sur n the energy was good. Tho I already knew his coordination with the band wud b perfect, as i have seen him doing more difficult things much more comfortably than this one.

So a person can't make constructive comments as a music lover if they are not actually judging the show? What is this forum for in that case?

Hmmm... the comment mentioned the requirements of the song and made a fair and valid overall judgement of the performance. Seems like a constructive enough comment to me.

And I know that it was a conversation between you two. But jeez, this forum is for general discussion. Hence I don't think I did anything wrong by airing my views on what you said about sal44's comment. It's comments like the part I've underlined that remind me of why I originally left IF over a year ago. This remains the only forum I have ever visited where receiving unaccommodating comments is quite literally a daily occurrence.

I agree 100%!! I almost expected the judges to say, 'rahul, energy thodi kam thi' but they didnt!!! I guess after Aishwarya's brilliant performance, comparisons were bound to happen and compared to that this was very thanda! I just wish they had given him another song, maybe the older song with the same words!
