Shaould Farah be a judge on this show?

Hello folks,

This is my first post so please be nice 😊 as I am not trying to hurt anyone's personal feelings here. Now onto the questions, I personally feel that Farah is a misfit for this show. Specially when if comes to music, her comments don't sound like she knows much about music IMHO. VS are ok for this kinda show (and I mean ok not great) but Farah should not have been on judges chair. I think a senior peroson like Suresh Vadkar or Asha Bhosle (I know it's not easy to get her to judge for this long). Any senior judge would have been able to assist VS in their judgement as well as they have faultered quite a few times in their judgement (even though they sometimes sound sensible). I think VS still got a long way to go as far as music goes. Except for OSO, they haven't come up with anything special (again that's my opinion). But with guidence of a senior member, they would have learned and done a lot better.

As for Farah, she is a complete misfit for this kind of show. Let's hear what other people have to say about this?

ITs true that seniors like suresh wadkar and asha would have better judge. BUt how many shows can afford to assemble that kinda judge team. I still believe judgemnet is not perfect in jjws but they doing good job.

So I guess you proved my point here. If Zee can afford judges like Suresh Wadkar and Sonu Nigam, I don't think it should be problem for Star to get those judges including Asha Bhosle. As for VS and their music, OSO is the only one that you can say is a real successful album. All the other ones that you metioned are just ok album. Nothing that has set people on fire. Here is an FYI, Omkara's music was given by Vishal Bhardwaj not VS. As for DUS, take out the title song and rest of the album ha no al and just bum is left. Taxi 9211 is an ok album and can't comment too much on Tashan as I haven't heard the songs too much. So based on all these facts, VS still have a long way to go.

As for Farah, you seem to agree with me about her not knowing music but seem to be adament that she is doing a good job. How about proving your point because you seem to be contradicting yourself here. Being a choeographer doesn't make her knowledgeble about music. Maybe she should be a judge for Rock n Roll Family show that Zee is conducting. She does qualify with flying colours 😉.

One more note on VS is that they were so high on being versatile and critisized Musarrat for being stereo typed. On the other hand, Harshit is a complete one dimensional singer (please don't bash me on that as well cause that again is my own opinion). HArshit sings mostly Kishor Kumar songs (not to say Kishor was not versatile) but to prove himself as a versatile singer, Harshit needs to sing songs from different singers and different genres. That says how much VS are in favour of Harshit besauce they haven't stamped Harshit as stereo typed.

Does that qualify her to be a judge on a show like this? I am not trying to put you down here but just because someone like me or you say they should be judge cannot make them deserving. To judge contestents of such calibre, they need someone who has proper credentials and knowhow about music. Remember these type of shows determine the future of these kids who are trying to make their mark in the industry.

I absolutely respect your opinion and everyone is entitled to have their opinion. Just wanna make one comment on Farah saying she has knowledge of sur and tall. If I remember correctly, she said on one episodes, she doesn't have much knowledge od music.

We will just go in circles but not get to any conclusion but the fact remains that she is a misfit for this show no matter how anybody put it. She has no credentiols to judge this show even if she knows some sur and taal. Just for that fact, I qualify for judging this type of show. I am a stage singer here in Toronto, unfortunately, Star doesn't choose judges from Toronto 😉 .

Yes not only Farah but Upen, Celina Jetley, Imran and others should also be given a chance... 😆

i think Farha is really underrted as a judge....most of the times it might feel that she is blabbering something becos of the way she speaks (maybe cos she uses very casual and informal language)....but if you really listen to her comments carefully, she is bang on most of the times....i generally agree with her when she comments on lack of feel, energy or when she says oopar oopar se gaya 😆....she really knows whether the contestants have captured the mood of the song or not

i think it is Shekar who gives boring/useless comments all the time....only thing he ever says is "sur bikhre hue the"...he hardly comments on the feel of the song or other technicalities....i think Farha does a better job as a judge 😳
