hey guys,

i know this is a bit off track and has nothing to do with jo jeeta wohi superstar but I have this desire to become a playback singer and don't know if I can make it lookin at the stiff competition there is out there and how very very few ppl really get a chance to break into the industry despite of their immense talent. Basically, I have become quite obsessed with it and started training on my own...i dont live in India and I really would like to go there but my parents wont let me...so how do I get professionaly trained?

People say I have a nice voice but im not too confident to sing in public or go take part in some show out there...anyways i live in a small place so theres not much going on.

I dont know what to do, its really starting to get me now... im 22 on top of that...i kind of feel like its too late but I dont want to give up!

Can someone give any tips or suggest their advice?

Thanks!

it's not too late! training yourself is good, but you should try to find a good guru (there are many all over the world; i'm sure you'll find one wherever you are right now). and practice more in front of an audience. you can start with something small, like your family or friends, then sing in bigger get-togethers, etc. that's the only way you can become more comfortable with others hearing you sing. good luck and i hope you don't stop singing!

I agree with Abhilasha. 22 is definitely not too late! šŸ˜›

If you're interested in classical training, there may be some online. Keep researching šŸ˜‰

And I agree that you should try to get over the stage fright. If you ever think of participating in any such shows, you need to have the confidence to let you perform calmly. So practicing in front of friends and family should be helpful!

Best of luck!

In IF there was a contest held where potential singers sang theme based songs. I think they just recorded the audio via a microphone or something. Then IF members with a ear for good music critiqued them.

You could ask the mods about this. There would be no stage fright either since we can't see you sing. 😃
