Why SVOI contestants have less fans?

The shows like Indian Idol and SGMP have been held much earlier then SVOI. . People listened to the contestants of these shows before they listened to SVOI contestants. Naturally people became fans of some or other contestants from these two shows earlier.Once some person becomes a fan of some contestant, it is very difficult for him/her to switch loyalty and change opinion.. As is evident from this blog, fans are desperately asking asking for their favourites however bad they are singing. That is why SVOI contestants like Harshit have very less nos of fans however good they sing. What do you say ?
