Narrator introduced the show 'Jhoom India' with the dus diljod jodiyaan.
All the couples enter singing, one-by-one, in the order of, Vinod-Roshni, Sachin-Madhushree, Chhavi-Jatin, Varun-Akriti, Shama-Zubeen, Shweta-Suresh, Sharad-Vaishali, Shekhar-Sunjeevani, Apara-Parthiv, finally Mirnal-Sudesh.
Then the title song is played.
The anchors, Rahul Vadiya and Sucheta Khanna introduce themselves and the show. Rahul sings the title song of the movie; Partner.
Judges are introduced, Anandji (sings 'Badi door se aaye hai') who adwises the participants to not cheat, Mahesh Bhatt, and Shabana Azmi.
Sucheta introdud the theme for the day, called 'Mera Wala Gana', where all the participants get to choose a song of their choice.
Jodi # 1
The first pair of Vinod Rathod and Roshni Chopra is introduced. Their code is 01
Clips are shown of Roshni practising singing while a narrator introduces them both.
On stage, Roshni and Vinod sing 'Aaj Ki Raat' (from Don).

Mahesh says that Roshni's take-off was poor, but she picked up. Anandji says the same thing, that she got confidence once Vinod entered. Shabana says that she had great body language.

Akriti Kakar and Varun Badola. Their code is 02
Clips are shown first of Varun on a bike, then mention of him in Nach Baliye and then of them of them practising singing and being introduced. Akriti says that singing well is more important than singing.
On stage, Varun and Areiti sing 'Chup chup ke chori se chori' (from Bunty aur Babli).
Shabana says that Varun is her mother's favourite actor. She tells varun that there is a lot of room for improvement and she tells the pair that their chemistry wasn't as much and she advises Varun to make eye contact with the audience. Anandji tells Akriti to give him and his voice some more attention. Mahesh says that the start was really good and they were both at ease, but he says that it looked like Varun got tired half-way through.

Shama Sikandar and Zubeen Garg. Their code is 03
Clips of them are shown too, mentioning that Shama had been in many shows and about Zubeen's songs rocking the world, like Yah Ali. Zubeen says she has a good voice, but she need practise.
On stage, Shama and Zubeen sing 'O Haseena' (from Teesri Manzil).
Shaba says that it looks like Shama has never learnt singing before, and because of that, they should have picked an easier song to sing, but the performance and confidence was good. Anandji also tells them to pick an easier song next time. Mahesh says he's a big fan of Zubeen, but he would advise Zubeen, not Shama, and he would call the performance weak because of zubeen, not Shama. Zubeen says he agrees, and he slipped on the first note .

Sharad Kelkar and Vaishali Samant. Their code is 04
Narraotor mentions that sharad is on Saat-Phere and a soccer champ, and clips are shown of them. They seem to be having lots of fun practising.
On stage, Sharad and Vaishali sing 'Salam-e-Ishq' (from Salam-e-Ishq).
Mahesh says that if a singer doesn;t understand the lyrics, then the song won't be as spectacular, and Sharad needs to contemplate that. Anandji tells Sharad to have control of the mikerophone so his voice doesn't fluctuate. Shabana says that sharad seemed to be enjoying himself, but the music was a bit weak in places.

Sachin Tyagi and Madhushree. Their code is 05
Clips are shows of Sachin with his 2 daughters and the narrator mentions that he wanted to be a singer, but became an actor. They are both shows laughing a lot while practising.
On stage, Sachin and Madhushree sing 'Jaane Jaan' (from Jawani Deewani).

Shabana says that sachin is a funn entertainer and he was really very good. Anandji says that it was good, and he says to Madhushree that it was a difficult song. Madhushree says that she had picked another song, but Sachin loves this one a lot. Anadji says that this was not bad at all though. Mahesh says that this is Madhushree's hard work that she got sachin to sing so wonderfully.

Shweta Tiwari and Suresh Wadkarr. Their code is 06
Narrator mentions that Shweta is the queen of Tellywood with Kasauti Zindagi Ki, and shweta says that she wants a partner who knows that she can't sing, and Seresh is shown to be a great singer.
On stage, Shweta and Suresh sing 'Ey, Kya Bolti Tu' (from Gulham).
Shabana says to Suresh that he's a great singer and teacher, but also a great actor, and she says to Shweta that is she was nervous, then she didn't show it one bit. Anandji says that he's seen Suresh like this for the first time. Suresh sings something emotional. Mahesh says that Shweta should inherit sone of Suresh's craziness.

Shekhar Suman and Sunjeevani. Their code is 07
Narrator introduces Shekhar as an actor and king of comedy. Then they show Sunjeevani praying that she gets a good partner.
On stage, Shekhar and Sunjeevani sing 'Sawan ka Mahina' (from Milan)
Anandji says that even though they weren't in the right chord while starting, they were still in sur. Shabana asks shekhar that he's judged so many shows, how does he feel now? Shekhar says that he;s here only for that reason. She says that there's no chance of him being destroyed here. Mahesh says that he caught the rustic flavour of the music, but watch the high notes.

Mirnal Kulkarni and Sudesh Bhosle. Their code is 08
Mirnal's parents, in the clips say that they always wanted her to be a singer and Sudhes is shown with various big celebrities.
On stage, Mirnal and Sudesh sing 'Ek Mein aur Ke Tu'
Shabana says that Sursh picked a great song for Mirnal and she says that it was good. Mahesh says that they had a great performance and, theough could be improved, it was good. Anandji says that Suresh was wonderful and down to earth.

Apara Mehta and Parthiv Gholi. Their code is 09
Narrator says that she is always a mother-in-law and it is the first appearance. And even though Parthiv is younger, he can do it. Parthiv is the one who sang for Saawariya. Parthiv is that her voice has been damaged a lot and it will be hard.
On stage, Apara and Parthiv sing 'Beedi' (from Omkara)
Shabana says it's amazing how open heartedly Apara sang. Apara sings again and Shabana dances. Anandji tells them to keep it up. Mahesh adds a whistle.

Chhavi Mittal and Jatin Pandit. Their code is 10
Chhavi says that she's done an MA in music and Jatin is said by the narrator to be a wonderful singer.
On stage, Chhavi and Jatin sing 'Bole Choodiyan' (from Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham)
Shabana says that even though they were the last Jodi, they didn't bore, but they excited. Anandji tells Jatin that he expects more. Mahesh advises them to understand the lyrics and get intot he depth of the song. Chhavi says that she wil try and sing with more feeling.
