@bold: I don't think so....there is still a clear difference in the way he fights for Jhanak's happiness. Him begging everyone there to accept Jhanak as Vihaan's wife, him trying so hard to convince Jhanak to marry Vihaan....he is not doing that out of "general empathy"....even after considering himself a useless person, he is doing all this cuz he does want to see Jhanak genuinely happy and feels that he is not in a position to give her anything so he is trying to set her up with Vihaan.

It's just that the story is so poorly written and executed with over-focus on Didi glorification in every scene that it's hard to parse through to this point. And no point fixating on the fact that Ani brought Arshi here which caused all this.....again, Arshi was the one most keen to come here even when Ani was trying to deflect and she also portrayed as if she is cool with Jhanak now. So it's not all on Ani only that this tamasha happened....Jhanak also gave the opening by participating in a big lie even with many chances to come clean atleast to Vihaan earlier.

I don't think Ani ever fought this much to get something done for Arshi....he does general ghulami for her but above and beyond he goes for Jhanak only.

I will call out Ani for trying to 'fix her life' as he cannot do anything for her just as I called out Jhanak when she somehow forced Ani to accept Arshi every single time! Both are wrong here! Who do they think they are! Setting up others' lives!!

He tried to distract didi but eventually gave in to her 'achhai', even after so much of vileness shown by her till date! If he again fell for her goody goody act, who to blame it for! Him only! He WANTS to be ghulaam of didi...so be it!

After this small leap, I hope apart from Anishit cringe marriage, Leena also focuses on Jhanak's career building...kuchh to positive do apne titular ko! Let Arshi remain entangled with bachha and all... Atleast J should be given a career so that she can lead her life decently and not by hiding around..

The main difference is that Jhanak was forcing Ani to accept Arshi even when he was literally BEGGING Jhanak to accept him and his love....and she clearly saw Arshi mistreat Ani many times including the HA incident....she saw that Anishi were constantly fighting and Ani was repeating over and over that he loves Jhanak......still she ordered him to marry Arshi.

Meanwhile Ani has seen that Vihaan clearly cares for Jhanak, is a nice person and is trying to help her....he is not insulting or harming Jhanak constantly like Arshi does with Ani....so him trying to encourage Jhanak to settle with Vihaan is not as far fetched. He is not trying to DICTATE her life..he is REQUESTING her even now....meanwhile Jhanak imperiously ORDERED him to marry Arshi even when he was clearly heartbroken.

Anyways, there is no point parsing all this right now cuz it's clear that Leena just wants to show Runak on parallel paths so these incidents will keep coming up of both of them trying so called "mahaanta" in their own way.

I'm no fan of how Ani is being shown downplaying Arshi ki vileness either to continue doing her ghulami but Leena ko apni laadli ko prop up karna hai toh yehi chalega.

I guess Leena may give Jhanak something dance related for a bit since abhi abhi yeh fake wife/bahu wala setup wrap up kiya hai toh immediately exact same nahin repeat karegi kuch....they should frankly bring Rudra back as Guruji for Jhanak to give her some dance related direction again...warna isko khud se toh koi motivation hoti nahin......lol

Just like Jhanak needs to be shown how pathetic her bhagodapanti is, Ani also needs to be made aware about his partiality towards Arshi whenever situation demands his stance for J the most...and I am not talking about his protection and shelter after her mom and dad passed away...going by his current contribution in making her situation worse, all his care, protection and pyar ka dava for J seem like empathy only, which can shift towards didi if choice has to be made between the two..
