I only watched today's episode of haldi dance(previous two yet to watch ) and I felt he is still waiting for her to accept his confession..
Half baked in the sense , he didn’t plan to go all the way with it … he still planned to marry arshi in his mind as he believed he will be rejected by jhanak. His only choice is life with arshi that was already all planned out and his family was looking forward to it. … not something where he will leave everything behind even arshi, family because he has realized his love for jhanak whether she loves him or not.. So in that sense it was half-baked.
Of course he was true to his heart , no question about that. I am not saying it was fake. He just expected a rejection .. you know it’s like telling someone you love them even though you know you won’t hear it back. Jhanak told him she has no feeling for him before loud and clear.
It’s a good thing .. telling someone about your feelings is , good he confessed ! I am not questioning his love. And like you said I agree he would have fought if jhanak would have said yes. He didn’t want her to sign the papers , wanted her to accept the marriage and that speaks volumes. For me the only fault I find is his actions right now. But I totally understand where he is coming from. Jhanak has hurt him and that too deeply. He has all the rights to be mad at her but the way he has chosen is wrong. And I have always said this jhanak is an annoying character for me more than Ani. She is a non action taker so far … ani is an action taker sometimes he can go crazy but I have said this before there is no middle ground between these two. There is extreme or nothing ! So we were fools to expect something normal out of these two !
I agree to everything expect , why is it that everyone is feeling he wouldn't break his marriage with Arshi , If Jhanak accepted his confession...
I am confused on that thought as to why I cant think he wont break with Arshi 🤔🤔🤔
I feel his ' I wont be able to keep my promise to her ' was something to do with him breaking ties with Arshi.

Even If Jhanak accepts his confession its not easy for him.He has a world war to win . Inspite of that he gathered his courage to tell her so many times that he wants her in his life...let her reject it ,done .But what did he get in return...nothing other than insult. This is not the first time she is insulting him...but this being the major one he felt bad and hurt . He is hurt more and is projecting it in many ways .
Its her insult that hurt his ego (after that sangeet conversation ) that triggered him and not the rejection.To add to the fuel her way too easy signing of annulment paper as if he wasnt of an importance in her life .
The feeling of Anirudh hold no important in Jhanak's life when he considers her his life .
This could be killing him from within.
She actually insulted his feelings ...and that might have triggered him. And those of words of crumbling world doesnt mean that he is hell bent on making her life hell...Anirudh can never make Jhanak's life hell....the small small lines which they showed to pacify viewers shows it all ..
The hurt scene when he was about to get up , his fist when she was ready to dance , put medicine as tea was hot , monologue why are you not protesting and doing all this... shows still Anirudh exists ..
Ignoring her completely as if she doesnt exists could have been better Anirudh ,than this childish If you insult me ,I will also insult you behaviour .

It is not just a normal rejection...it was always his worst fear that has come true...Jhanak had always rejected him saying again and again that she is not interested in him at all...So he kind of had decided to keep his emotions to himself but from the Kashmir confrontation of Jhanak he realised that Jhanak also acknowledges the marriage...she also wants wants it to work...then coupled with illness...he confessed his feelings... deepest desires ...he exposed that inner child inside himself to her and allowed her to soothe and caress him...it was not easy for someone like him who hides his Emotions from everyone even from Choton..
But then this happened!!!
Jhanak is not at fault for not accepting his love immediately....he is her sister's fiance...and wedding was still on...
but according to him he in whatever questionable ways...at least tried...but she didn't try at all...not even expressing it to him after him crying so helplessly in front of her....
Soo for Ani the biggeest issue is she is not even considering him worth fighting for...
Yes...he is going overboard with his PDA... insulting Jhanak and taking it too far...It is definitely not acceptable...at any cost...He is too volatile at this point...to the point of destruction....I am not defending him at all......
But he is not getting any pleasure from it also..He is equally hurt everytime he hurts her...but may be that's his idea...to punish her as well as himself for taking it this far.for allowing her to hurt him this much...He himself is also burning...
But he needs to break his wedding with Arshi at any cost...It is good for his life and for Arshi as well...She also should marry to someone who loves her and Ani doesn't deserve to marry someone whom he knows he won't be happy...
In the end ...a very very shallow track with forced misunderstandings....and both are giving us traumas....only....
No I said he will …no ? If jhanak accepted him to there was no question… but he didn’t wait for her response , didn’t press her for response.. that is because he is assuming the response is no.. where it is throwing off people is he is marrying someone he doesn’t love ! You said I love you to someone but you still want to marry someone else ? And in that sense it comes across as he would have gone with arshi regardless! And his PDA with arshi is only solidifying that thought l. Writers have done poor job there. He didn’t want jhanak to sign papers so that means he wanted to be in that marriage ! But it’s also true he doesn’t have courage to give up everything , go against everything regardless of jhanak response. He is wanting to hurt himself just to keep a commitment! It’s coming across as conditional love!
