There is not much to say really. Another regressive crapfest.
It's mostly a continuation of the Anjana-Jhanak and Shrishti-Arshi scenes from Yesterday. Plus, Ani-Arshi convo and her attempt to unalive herself.
Don't want to go into too many details cuz there is nothing to talk about. But the stark contrast of how upbringing shapes whether a person is good/bad is clearly seen from how Jhanak and Arshi responded about each other to other people.
Jhanak is insistent on accepting and facing her fate head-on. She does not want Ani to stand between herself and Tejas as it is spoiling his relationship with his (ex-)fiancé and family members. She prevents Bodomaa from talking on her behalf as she wishes to leave on her own accord and is confident that Ani will manage Arshi. For me though, Jhanak sounds like a hypocrite currently. She is okay with going to Tejas of her own accord but doesn't want anyone else to decide it for her. This way, all the help that other people (mainly Ani) have given her goes unacknowledged and she seems ungrateful and hypocritical. I understand she doesn't have the strength to fight anymore but the way the events have shaped up her response like this is very unappealing to watch as a viewer. It's sad to see Bodomaa feel so helpless about not being able to help Jhanak who has given so much love to her daughter besides Ani.
On the other side, Shrishti is constantly pushing Arshi for an answer as to whether she will marry/stay in contact with Ani or not. What else to say about the mom of the century? She is filling hatred for Jhanak and doubts about Ani in Arshi's head with words and turning her into a mini-her. No space for her daughter who just broke up with her lover on eve of her wedding announcement.
. Even if Arshi was unsure about how to move forward, her constant badgering to answer her questions really screams narcissism. She assigns all the blame to Jhanak and refuses to listen to any point her husband has to say. She vows to make sure Jhanak is sent packing with Tejas by Hook or Crook. Even Vinayak has had enough of it as he remarks it's only about the image of herself and not about her daughter's life.
. I have noticed this before multiple times too, what is with her indifferently denying Vinayak's opinion of Arshi and her life? H is her dad. Of course, he will care about her. This puts a distasteful notion that only mothers know best for their daughters and fathers are usually emotionally absent. I have seen plenty of unfit fathers and mothers unfit to raise children too. In those cases, the dads have been the best caretakers for their children. This gender-biased view about parenting is putting me off.
Contemplating consuming sleeping pills, Arshi sees Ani call her and pick up the phone hesitantly. What follows in a conversation telling of the two's mindset right now. Ani rambles about all the things that happened and the reason why he did it, but Arshi is having none of it. Ani's denial about Arshi's true nature is displayed here; it's obvious we tend to think about the one we are in a relationship with as the best. He keeps reiterating how good she was and how she encouraged Jhanak to perform and that whatever she is talking about Jhanak and him is now only due to anger. But no, Arshi doesn't give a damn about whether Jhanak is sent with Tejas or not. Her main thought now is that she is hurt, and her lover hurt her; that too for a maid. Apple doesn't fall far from the tree. How mothers shape up their daughters on their upbringing is full on display here. Urvashi brought up Jhanak so well that she doesn't wish for bad even for those people who have hurt her repeatedly, including Arshi, and only wants her relationship with Ani to be salvaged. But the poison Shrishti has filled in Arshi's mind about Urvashi and Jhanak has twisted Arshi from a confident successful young woman to a needy insecure mess who wants validity from her lover. She doesn't give two shits about Jhanak, unlike the latter. She finally concedes to Ani's apologies and demands absolute obedience from him before cutting the call. What follows is a long monologue showing how depraved Arshi is becoming with every second. She consumes sleeping pills and feels defeated by a maid. This again shows that, despite mouthing big words about how much she loved Ani, her first thought was that she lost to a low-station maid. Not about how much love they had that ended in such an ugly manner. Not Ani, but Jhanak. And she has the gall to think Ani is obsessed with Jhanak and what she had done wrong to Jhanak? This thought alone is an example of how in denial she is about her own wrongdoings. So what is Jhanak is a maid? Is a maid not a human being? are they not allowed to have freedom and dreams? This is total BS being shown to highlight classism still rampant in India. So, tiring to watch.
Precap: Police come to arrest Jhanak and Ani assures to stand by her. But again, she decides to go with Tejas like the Bus stop.
