Hi

I started watching Jhanak in snippets recently. Can someone explain - why does her Masi hate her? Why does everyone hate her? And how is it that Arshi is so well off but Jhanak is not if they are cousins?

thanks!!

Hi there. Looks like Janak’s and Arshi’s mothers are cousins and there by they are cousins if am not wrong. Both the mothers are dancers and they have got a history which is ye to get revealed. As of now the Guruji is the father of Janak and illegitimate child to him and thereby Janak’s mother is treated as maid in her brother’s home. After Janak’s mom passing away she has been rescued by Ani and brought to Kolkata and been treated as maid in the as they don’t like her presence. Hope this helps.

Thank you!! Could you also tell me how is Ani rich compared to the rest of the family? And everyone puts him above even his own father?

letter clearly told that he married Urvasi and then they had child.. she gave in to the man she married and thus Janak should not be called as illegitimate child.. the child cannot be called illegitimate just because father abandons his wife.

it is Guruji who cheated her mother by lying .. it is he who should be given names and not Jhanak because there was nothing wrong in the way she was born

You explained it right.. my point is only towards society who ignore all big mistakes of strong and weaks have to take the burnt of their deeds.

In one of episode Rahul, while talking on phone with Ani, he blurted that Urvasi was a far better dancer than Sristhi, so shristi jealousy spoiled Urvashi career and personal life...so my gut feeling is somehow Srishti was the reason for guruji abonding Urvasi and his unborn child.

The history between Urvashi (Jhanak's mother) and Srishti Mukherjee (Jhanak's maasi) has not been revealed yet.

Everyone in the family despises Jhanak and Urvashi because they believe Jhanak is an illegitimate child. Urvashi has never disclosed to anyone, except in her suicide note, that Gurujii is Jhanak's father and her husband. This misunderstanding has led to Urvashi being labeled as a characterless woman and Jhanak as an illegitimate child, when in reality, Gurujii never took responsibility for Urvashi and Jhanak. He is the one at fault, not Jhanak and Urvashi.

The history between Srishti Mukherjee, Urvashi, and Gurujii will be revealed in future episodes. Let's wait and see how their past unfolds. It's still a secret.

As far as I remember, in one episode they showed that Urvashi was daughter of Shristi's uncle (Chacha). Her parents dies few days after she was born. Shristi's parents took Urvashi's responsibility but actually used it as an excuse to capture all her property , leaving her penniless.
