I usually watch only one performance but when I watched last part, I saw Shan in risk zone so I was like, whaat? Then I decided to watch whole episode. Good publicity stunt btw lol

So it was raining 30 today lol
But on a serious note, Sid deserved 30. Sid should continue his gymnastic career, idk why he left it.

Salman: 15/30

I'm pretty sure that you are wondering why I underated Salman. Thanks to -Stryker-
for pointing out that Salman tried to copy a dance from SYTYCD USA. Concept and dance steps as well. So unproffesional, check here
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QZ-1cq8ibwg

Swasti didn't deserve 29, was good not great. I would give 26.

Karishma: Overated. 26 for me. No wow moment, pretty basic

Teriya: Dance was okay. Good but not perfect and concept was not original at all. I watch a lot of dance shows and I remember in Nach Baliye 6, Asha and Rithvik did fusion of Lavni and MJ style.
Was copied plus I find quite a few steps same. And Teriya didn't pick MJ steps right, MJ was a perfectionist and his finishing lines had style but I find Teriya's stance flat.

And Shantanu, the reason I'm still watching jhalak, actually I thought it would be the same usual type of Vande Mataram act that we get to see in every show but hell no. It was original. The kathak was good, and those people who said that Shan can only do Hip pop and is not versatile, seriously where are they? All steps were smooth and power packed. The choreo was innovative for me as it was a different type of Vande Mataram act. 29 for me. And as usual judges comments didnt match scores or and by the way, after shan perfo,Farah and Karan talking, I bet they were discussing about giving shan a 9 both lol [joke] Jhalak does nt come with a guarantee card, crap performaces get 30 sometimes

And Manish is so funny, actually I remember he played same prank on Shakti haha. But anyway, Shantanu would never have been eliminated either way. I have a feeling that even though he didn't get 50% from judges,he got 50% from audience.

When Manish said Shan had to leave, the look on everyone's face was 🤢 That's how it feels when someone who won the audience 's heart has to leave and I'm so proud of Shan for this. He managed to win so many hearts and even if he were to leave because of judges bad scoring, I bet that everyone in the room would have cried :D His journey has been awesome, and he deserve to win
Difference between a good dancer and a great dancer :P

That's the story how I ended up watching the whole thing. I'm not so proud. But Rangeela you won lol

Feel free to disagree :)

Well i didn't watch the episode and have no intention to either. JDJ was done for me last week. Will probably catch up with the finale. And yeah my preference is for Shantanu to win from the final 3 that i heard of.
Having said that ,out of habit i checked JDJ website and came across the pics of Salman's act for the week on JDJ. Since i was(somewhat still am) a viewer of SYTYCD USA. So from the pics my mind immediately went to an act i saw on SYTYCD few years back. Since you have seen today's episode so you can tell better if his act was a copy of this.

OMG LOL

Thanks for sharing this. Not only Teriya copied, but the great super so called best dancer of India copied too! Mr the choregrapher, coudn't come up with something on his own. This is so unprofessional.Desperate and did you guys see how he seems so happy and proud and takes credit for everything ?
So sad that neither judges could see that nor his fans.

I think you guys are being way too harsh on Salman. The concept was the same but the execution was different enough that it doesn't warrant such harsh criticism. I've seen the same concept on a Russian dancing show as well and all three performances (Salman's, the one on SYTYCD and the Russian one) were similar but had significant differences.Think the Russian one was the original cause this was back in 2006 or 2007. Anyway I liked Salman and Aishwariya's intepretation and it was a gripping performance. I don't see a problem with using an existing concept but I do agree that they shouldn't have pretended that it was they're very own original idea.

But yes, I wholeheartedly agree that there was little dancing from Salman and that is a problem. He's suppose to be the contestant but it seems like that Aishwariya is the contestant and he's just there to support. Only started watching this season two months ago but I have yet to see him doing the heavy lifting in one of their performances. Maybe he's been on the show as the choreopartner for so long that he can't choreograph an act around himself 😆 (and isn't it Aishwariya's job to choreograph anyway). The tiny bit of the performance where he did a little solo was done really well. I don't understand why he won't dance, he clearly can dance 😕 as proven on DID, ABCD and other seasons of Jhalak. I bet he regrets coming on the show as a contestant. Should have waited for an offer to become a judge on the show lol. He would've probably made a better judge than Jacqui to be honest.

Teriya's performance was good but not great. She's a good dancer but not as great as a dancer as she's made out to be. Even when she was on DID she wasn't the best dancer but for some reason she was the most popular. That boy who was dancing with Spandan was on the same season as Teriya and I think he's a better dancer. lol. With regards to the concept being copied from Nach Baliye, do you know who Rithvik and Asha'a choreographer was on that show? Because a lot of shows use the same choreographer and it might have been the same choreographer or he may have been part of the choreographing team on that show in which case I wouldn't call it copying.

Shantanu did do hip hop again. I don't see how this performance proves his versatility. Having a few kathak (more like freestyle semi classical steps) in a performance and doing those steps well is very different from carrying of a full fledged kathak or classical performance. It does not prove he can do those styles.I don't hold it against him though. None of the contestants have tried many different styles this year. But his performance was very good and I do think that he is the most deserving of the trophy at this point. He's been very consistent all season and it's clear that he works very hard. I still don't like Alisha though 🤢

Sidharth's performance was excellent but I would like to see him do something other than freestyle with gymnastics.

Karishma's perfromance was ok. Nothing special. I know the judges have praised her for trying different styles but honestly all the different styles she has tried have been pretty similar to each other. Would like to see her try hip hop or krumping or contemp.

Swasti's performance was entertaining.

Manish and Shantanu's performance was hilarious. Omg just thinking about it puts a smile on my face. They should make Manish a contestant on the show next year.😉 Lol

Do you mind if I ask why you don't like Alisha? I'm not disagreeing with your opinions or anything, I'm just curious as to why you don't like her. Is it her personality or her dance or something else??

It was something on her Instagram a while back; a post about the hypocrisy of the older generation. I actually kind of, sort of agreed with part of the point her post was trying to make but didn't like the way it was done. There's this trend of putting western culture on a pedestal and "aspiring" to it that I do not like at all and I kind think she promotes that (along with a lot of other people on Instagram).I know it's really petty. I actually kind of feel bad about it. I mean I don't even know her. She's a really good dancer, there's no denying that.

PS: I creeped on your profile and see you're from Australia as well. May I ask where in Australia?

Hi, not it's fine. Too harsh on him? Well, that's what happens when you have a dancing background. Shan had a hard time because he is a dancer, the judges look like they take a microscope to judge his dance lol
And they are too lenient on Salman. You said it yourself and I agree, Salman would have been a judge then how come his performance are not that great [ they are good not great] , his choregrapher outshines him, and he copy content and dance steps as well. For someone who is a winner of DID,who won JDJ as choregrapher and been in a movie, that's the last thing to do. I loved their dance but it doesn't change the fact that it was copied, they could have changed it a bit, but they didn't bother. Maybe they thought his fans are blind and they will not see that?
I think him being a contestant this year has killed his chance of being a judge forever.
I don't like his personality now and what he become.

Agree for Teriya. Both Teriya and Faisal were winners of DID but Faisal's dance is at another level. Teriya is not great at all. Asha and Rithvik had Vaibhav and Bhawna as choreo.
I don't know yaar, dance is all about creativity. You can't just copy and paste. Even if you copy something, you should it change it more than 50% and personalized it.

Stay tuned for Shantanu's perfo, he will try something new and I'm sure you will like it. I'v seen him in another show D3, and he did contemporary, lyrical, krump, skate dance, ballroom, waltzand many more and I hope we will get to see him that on Jhalak :)
I don't want to compare but look at Shantanu, his crew DesiHoppers choregraphed their acts for World of Dance in USA themselves, plus they got standing ovation for that on IGT, and btw I always say this that Shantanu does not get the love and platform he deserves. They won WOD for India and very few people know it. His crew represented India, he took India to another level and make India proud and known but he is not that popular as Salman. Idk in India, you need to be in a sort of movie for people to know you lol or play in a saasbahu show
It is only through Jhalak that people are getting to know Shan and I'm happy for him. FINALLY! But I wonder if judges know it,Farah looks like he only knows Bollywood! It bothers me when they treat Salman like a star, ignoring his mistakes when JDJ has Shan WOD winner and Sid national gymnastic :)
I really hope Shan wins, he deserves it.

I don't know actually which post you are talking about as I don't really follow her but one thing I would like to say in her defense. I am not her fan or anything nor a fan of her dancing. One thing which I have always liked about her during her D3 days that she always made an effort to speak in Hindi and not English in interviews. Her English was weak at that time but she never tried to speak in English just to prove a point. She proudly spoke in her mother tongue and never looked down upon it..

I'm probably being a lot more benevolent towards and a lot more tolerant of Salman because I haven't been watching for that long so I haven't really been seeing the bias towards Salman for as long as you guys. When he came on Jhalak last year for the "Salman Special" episode he seemed so humble and the acts they showed that day were actually creative but he does seem a bit smug now. He should have never come on as a contestant and followed the same career trajectory as Puneet, Dharmesh, Shakti etc.

I thought that Teriya only copied the fusion. Didn't realise they copied the steps, song and everything. I'm looking forward to the teen ka tadka episode because Faisal is coming back (right?). He's my favourite dancer.

I wasn't familiar with Shantanu at all before Jhalak. Checked out his performance on WOD and it really was very impressive. Tried to watch his performance on AGT but couldn't find it. If you have a link, can you share it 😃. Salman is probably well known and liked because he was paired up with lots of popular contestants in the past and he actually did choreograph those contestants well. I can understand your frustration though. Credit should be given where credit is due. But as Shakti said before he left; everyone's careers seem to improve after Jhalak so maybe that's happen to him as well.

Honestly this season is a bit boring especially after last years season with Faisal, Shamita, Sanaya etc. Even the judges were better (I mean they had Shahid Kapoor). I only started watching because I read that Sidharth is a gymnast and I wanted to see his performances but I've been very impressed Shantanu as well so I'll keep watching 😊.
