Jhalak Dikhlaa Jaa season 9 had its most absolute format removed. The public voting system was replaced by the in-studio audience poll. Also, the telecast format of the weekends was changed to only one day in a week. This became a factor in the show not getting the response it always got.

However, the consolation for the above-mentioned changes came in the form of the contestants and performers. The audience got to see their favourites Shantanu Maheshwari, Arjun Bijlani, Shakti Arora, Helly Shah and many more popular faces.

The makers of Jhalak have now planned a family special episode where family members of the contestants will get to perform with them. We also provide to you a list of the same.

Arjun Bijlani will be accompanied by his bundle of joy, son Ayaan and better half, Neha Swamy. Also supporting her super dancer hubby will be Salman Yusuff Khan's wife Faiza Harmain.

Shakti Arora will also be seen matching steps with his proud father. And so will Shantanu Maheshwari and Karishma Tanna, whose mothers would perform with their proud children. Karishma Tanna's mother would be a part of her act and not dance, while Shantanu's mother will give some tough competition to her son.

Surveen Chawla's parents will also shake a leg with their daughter. But unfortunately, since Nora's family does not reside in Mumbai, her family would not be a part of the family special episode. But the makers have arranged for a video message from her mother.
