There is no doubt that Salman is good at what he does on Jhalak. Because he's been doing it for 5 years and that kind of experience as well as personal and professional bonding with the crew gives him an advantage over any dancer who has ever participated on the show. Like Karishma had pointed out, this is his home ground. Literally. He knows how everything works - how to play to the cameras, how to work with their angles, how to use the stage, how feasible certain ideas are to execute with the crew's capacity and production values, what buttons to push with the judges, how the rehearsals work and how to utilise them most fruitfully...and much more, I'm pretty sure. An entire episode was dedicated to him as a guest mentor last year, for heaven's sake. There have been dancers on the show before, and the bar for them has been set according to their capabilities too. But none of them have been as intimately familiar with the show, its format and its working as Salman is. And that is why, like Karishma and even Manish said once in jest, he would fit better in a judge's chair than a contestant's shoes. This is what I feel.Originally posted by: JCluvs srk
I think people are judging salman too harshly...he is a talented guy which is why he is there...he didnt stay on jhalak because he developed relationships with the people there...he stuck because he is good at what he does. And I think having salman on the show sets the bar high...which will push other contestants to do better. And I think judges have a much higher standard for salman which is why they aren't giving him 30s yet...judges are knit picking with him...where as they are alot more lenient with other contestants. Judges are more strict with shantanu and the twins as well bc they know these are dancers. So even though people think it's unfair...Salman has talent which is why he is there...and previous seasons also had extremely trained dancers as well...because they set the bar high on jhalak.
