"Sanaya Irani The Queen Of Dancing!!"

Since the beginning of Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa season eight we had been planning to visit Mumbai. However due to the monsoon season we had decided to postpone the trip. We were fully confident that Sanaya would make it to the very end and hence we would get to see her perform live. Earlier this month Saij had arranged to go to the sets of JDJ, once she had received confirmation on the dates she then booked her flight and soon after was on her way to Mumbai.

Saij landed in Mumbai on Monday morning and eagerly awaited for the next day. Tuesday morning was an early start to the day and despite the jet lag Saij was all excited to spend the day on the sets of Jhalak. She arrived on the sets at 9:30 am and met the person who had arranged for her visit. As Saij walked on to the set itself, the excitement level shot up and the fatigue started to disappear. Saij then spent some time acquainting herself with the BBC member and got to know more about JDJ and BBC.

Shortly after Saij went to the make-up room area to meet Cherag, the talented make-up artist who excels in making sure Sanaya looks her very best. Cherag is a sweet and jovial guy, it was great to finally meet him in person. During this time Sanaya was getting ready, so Saij along with Cherag and his assistant went to the canteen. Sanaya's hairdresser Nimi also joined a little while later. She has been Sanaya's hairdresser for many years, she is a lovely and friendly lady. Saij spent some time talking to everyone before heading back outside.

As Saij went outside, she saw Sanaya sitting and talking to one of the production team members. Sanaya was looking very cute and pretty in her dress and two plaits (at this point Sanaya had not done her full make-up). As Sanaya was on her way back to her make-up room, Saij took the opportunity to say a quick hi. Before Saij had gotten the chance to even ask How are you?', Sanaya had beaten her to it and asked her first, that too with her cute smile! Sanaya was not surprised to see Saij as she already knew of her impending visit. So after a quick hello, Sanaya went back inside and Saij went back inside.

The shooting schedule was running a little late. The actual shoot had started late morning. Saij was seated in the non-camera facing area (or so she thought) and with an excellent view of the stage and all the contestants. All the contestants came in and sat down, they were chatting with one another whilst waiting for the camera to start rolling. Sanaya was sitting next to Anita and chatting with her. Once the camera started to roll all the contestants sat in their respective places. Some opening shots were recorded with everyone and then the performances had begun. At this time Sanaya had gone back to her room to get her make-up and hair done.

Then came Sanaya and Jai's horror act, seeing Sanaya perform live was an amazing experience. Saij still could not believe she was watching Sanaya live even though she had previously seen her perform at Star Parivaar Live! Also, Drashti had come to the sets just before Sanaya's first act was shown. As the performance began, the first thing that struck Saij was that Sanaya had been given a very challenging theme. To perform to a horror dance on a 90's song was not an easy task but Sanaya was impressive on all counts; dancing, acting and expressions. Considering the difficulty level and Sanaya's outstanding performance she truly deserved more than the score given!!

Then during the break, Saij went to lunch with Nimi and Cherag's assistant. After lunch Saij managed to catch Shahid and Ganesh for quick photographs. The shooting then resumed, continuing with Saturdays episode. Before Sanaya's Teen Ka Tadka' performance, she along with Drashti and Jai did a very quick last minute short rehearsal. Coming to Sanaya's performance with Drashti and Jai, Saij loved the performance. It was a fun and lively performance, it was entertaining and it was great to see the two best friends perform together once again. Again it was disappointing to see the judges give lower scores.

A cute moment was when after trying to lift Akshat Singh, Sanaya ran behind him and then gave him a kiss. Then the very end of the shoot they recorded the part giving one contestant direct entry to the finals. Saij kept her fingers crossed that it would be Sanaya but Faisal had been chosen. Sanaya was very happy for Faisal. We know that even without a ticket Sanaya will make it to the finals!! The finals shots were taken and then all headed back to their make-up rooms. Saij took a photo with Manish and then she told Mohit Malik that his performance was good.

Saij then went to meet Sanaya for a quick chat. Whilst waiting for Sanaya, Saij took a photo with Drashti, had a brief chat with Adi (Mohit Malik's wife), introduced herself to Jai and briefly spoke to Marisha. When Sanaya came out of her make-up room Saij felt even more bad for her as she saw Sanaya was so down.

Here is some of Sanaya and Saij's conversation:

• Saij congratulated Sanaya on her performances and told her that she was great.
• Saij told Sanaya that we will surely see her in the finals. She said "You saw what happened today".
• Saij said the fans would ensure she gets to the finals. To which Sanaya replied that even fans of other contestants will vote for their favourites too. Saij told Sanaya that she has the most fans.
• Saij passed on the love and best wishes from the TeamSarun followers.

After the chat, Saij asked Sanaya for a photo and Drashti did the honours of taking the picture. Then Saij said her goodbyes to Sanaya before heading back home at nearly midnight.

Saij met many people during the day, including Marisha's mother who was very sweet and jovial, Tejal who is the other choreographer in Sanaya's team, Priyanka Chopra's hairdresser who was standing in for Shamita's hairdresser, Gautam's manager, the JDJ clothes stylist, the Colors interviewer and more.

Tuesday 22nd September 2015 is another date that TeamSarun has marked on its calendar as being truly special. Meeting Sanaya again was simply amazing but we had wished the circumstances were different. The last thing we had expected to see was an upset Sanaya and in all honesty her performances deserved better scores as she performed beautifully both times. Sanaya and Saij had talked for a good few minutes, although we had wished that we had more time. It doesn't matter how many times we meet Barun and Sanaya, the excitement and happiness has no bounds! Going to JDJ was one of the best decisions of our lives and every moment will be cherished in our hearts forever.

On a parting note, Sanaya deserves to win the JDJ trophy but as you will all agree, Sanaya is already a winner for us all!!
