Madhuri, who lost her father during the semi-final of Jhalak's last season, said, "I completely understand what you mean. I too lost my father last year."

Johar also remembered his late father and said, "We never thought Kal Ho Naa Ho' would be my father's last film. In fact, when the title track of the film was made, his father said -this song is only for me. Who knew the song would really be for him."
