Negi is 51 , has seen a million troubles in his life and saw the JDJ as a platform to promote hockey at the grassroots level.For that he was willing to undergo a good deal of embarassment,criticism and yet has the manliness to maintain good humour,dignity and self respect , something which the other contestants lack.At his elimination , Negi , like the good guy he is , comforted his wife.But she did mention that she wanted Negi to win for a great cause.50 lakhs for a grass roots hockey program for girls is something which even Shak Rukh with his pretty millions cannot concieve of. Negi is a trail blazer.He has lost many battles , but has won the war. Remember what he said during elims : I have fought many battles with Pakistan and others on the hockey ground , but I came to Jhalak to win a war against myself.
